After a certain age, a girl's best friend is a top-quality, custom-made wig or hairpiece. About half the women mentioned on this thread have worn one in public or wear one regularly. After menopause, some women's hair thins noticeably; most older, graying hair simply can't live up to the punishing demands of constant coloring, styling. First ladies and other public figures have known this forever.

Sigourney Weaver looks great. I've read she goes to a Brazilian cosmetic surgeon who says people should start young and have subtle work done regularly, rather than making dramatic and very noticeable changes. Supposedly Susan Sarandon is another of his patients and I suspect some others on this thread are too. They never look stretched and tightened or botoxed all over, and none of those chipmunk cheek implants that always look terrible.

Others have had too much work done, like Jane Fonda and Michelle Pfeiffer (who both looked better a few procedures ago).

Christie Brinkley knows how to take care of herself, and it shows. Yes, she's had cosmetic work, but she eats right and takes care of her skin. I don't know about now, but she was a vegetarian for years. They sold it some time ago, but for a number of years she and her brother co-owned a vegetarian restaurant.
