I've noticed & wondered about this too. I've seen multiple models broadcast from what is clearly the same room.

If you go to the flirt4free model sign up page, one can either sign up as a single performer or as a studio operator. I would assume a studio operator has a stable of boys and/or girls whom they sponsor - providing them the workspace, cameras, lighting equipment, etc. while taking a percentage of what the models make.

You can also see these guys on CB. On CB, you can only sign up as an individual, but if it's a sweatshop setup, the studio creates the screen name for the performer and the checks go to the studio and they pay the model whatever.

I'm friendly with one of the top male models and yes they operate out of studios with 10 to 15 other men and women. The studio takes a cut but he won't say how much. Some of the models can make some decent money, but the men generally make less than the women.

And no I don't spend my whole paycheck on him under the deluded belief that he's in love with me. However, I do have a family member who spent over 100K on a female model, including making the down payment on her house.
