Woody Harrelson does not seem intelligent to me. He talks a lot about health, but seems to not be that educated. I grew up in a farming area, and it makes me cringe when people talk about "chemicals" in food and "GMOs". If he looked at the peer-reviewed studies regarding GMOs, he would realise that being afraid of them is similar to being afraid of vaccines. He might also be surprised to learn that everything we eat has chemicals in it....

It also makes me cringe when actors talk about psychology, particularly old actors who only remember stereotypical American Freudian psychology from the 1960s (I'm talking about Woody Allen). I've studied psychology and it astonishes me that Americans still un-ironically believe in psychoanalysis. When I hear the words: neuroses, catharsis, subconscious, superego or repression, I get shivers.

Tom Cruise is also in the same boat for believing that psychologists are out to get you. He belongs with my mother who opposes psychology in all forms because her mother abused tricyclic antidepressants in the 1970s.

If you're not educated in a field, that's fine. Not everyone knows everything, but for God's sake... if you don't know how to be scientifically literate, then don't act like a teacher of science! If you can't read/interpret/understand scientific articles, then DON'T quote them as fact!

There’s a big difference between being smart, and being uneducated.

A person who has above average intelligence has the ability to learn and become self taught, an auto-didactic. There are notable persons who either did not complete university, or didn’t attend at all, who have been enormously successful without a formal education.

Now, a genuinely unintelligent person cannot easily learn. I’m not discussing learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, or personality disorders. I’m referring to persons with below average intelligence.

The majority of persons with below average intelligence do not usually end up with successful careers in any industry. There are exceptions, obviously, but most do not have the opportunities or skill set to make it, especially in a cut throat industry such as the entertainment industry.
