She's been performing in this body paint (and various accessories for each number) for the past two years. Personally, I preferred her earlier mid to late 2000s tours for Hurricane when she didn't do the body paint because each look was unique and distinct. Here, the tribal look dominates throughout and doesn't fit every song, but, whatever, it's Grace. She can do whatever the fuck she wants.

In 2000, I worked with her for about a week on a staged reading. Loved her. We became brief friends. Whenever I was with her, I always wanted my friends to see that I was hanging out with goddamn Grace Jones! It was a thrill. Loved it when she would call my name in a commanding voice insisting that I carry her oversized bag of whatever she was lugging around. Yes, Grace, whatever you'd like Grace. It was a hoot. Of course, it was a crazy sight when we would walk down the street--this tall striking black goddess looking just as you would imagine, and me, the dutiful white boy on a very short walk with her from her hotel to the theatre. Nice, wild lady. So much fun.
