Believe it or not R3 (and I'm sure you don't) but some younger guys are into that. I think 60 is pushing it (and the lack of at least moderate/middle class wealth makes it even more unlikely) but I have seen it. Just not that common.

I know a couple who have a 27 year age difference, and the older one is a reporter (so there is no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow). Neither are "Instagram" attractive, but just normal, so ... it does happen. They have been together for ... at least 10 years that I know of.

The reporter is 68 now R10, and the "youngin" is 41. I know they dated a while before they were a "couple", so the younger one was in his late 20's at the time with a mid 50's guy when it started.

One of my best friends at 57 is very serious with a 28 year old- I keep quiet and offer support when it seems appropriate. Doesn't seem viable for me, but I certainly don't have the answers for relationships other than if it's not working, get out and if it is working- more power to you!.

I watched this a few months back and it's very close to the relationship my 60ish neighbor has with a hot young 20 something Brazilian. At first I thought he was paying the guy for sex but he's a schoolteacher and doesn't make much money. Then, about a year ago, Mr Brazil moved in. The neighbor is not attractive at all but I found out from the nosy doorman that the young guy has a great job in publishing so he's not in it for the money. So, the web series isn't as far fetched as you might think.

While it’s not unheard of, it’s not exactly common either. I’d wager successful long term relationships with that much of an age gap are even less so.

The show kind of reminds me of the one with pre-menopausal woman who fools everyone into believing she’s a recent college grad, gets the dream job, relives her youth, and gets the hot 20 yo boyfriend too — all the things she missed out getting married and being a mother. Both shows are pure escapism/fantasy for the house fraus and the elder gays. Be nice and let them have it.

I remember a couple quite like Z&D when I was living in Boston. In the end, they moved to Mexico to open a B&B. The older man had been married and widowed; the younger one was quite a catch. I hated hearing about their goings on because I was bright chartreuse with envy.
