This group sent their argument. She decline to prosecute. We don't know what was in the argument or why Harris thought they couldn't realistically win.

Harris was in California--hate to break it to you, but we don't do a lot of Wall St. prosecutions here--because it's not in our jurisdiction.

As for donations--Republicans haven't won a statewide office in California in 10 years--no point in donating to a Republican for a state office. The GOP is basically dead as far as state leadership goes.

Prosecutors have a lot of discretion over what they choose to prosecute. Your disagreeing with Harris' decision hardly puts her on Trump's level. She's not known for assaulting women, colluding with Russia and money laundering for the Russion mob. Oh, and obstructing justice to make sure these things don't come out. Harris hasn't been involved in thousands of lawsuits.

Harris comes from the California Democratic machine. California is very committed to combatting climate change--it's getting ready to pass a law that would require 100 percent of its energy come from renewables by 2045. It's already at 29 percent. The last thing Putin wants is the rest of the U.S. following California's lead on this.

Also, if a Democrat wins in 2020, then the Paris Accords are back on--Trump has to be in office two terms in order for a withdrawal to actually take effect.
