Brad was perfect. Faces don't come better than this.

I think that Jon-Erik Hexum was one of those rare individuals who really didn't have a bad angle.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 5, 2017 2:45 PM |
I wonder what a 60-year old Hexum would have looked like today - whether he would have stayed in shape like Dennis Quaid or gone to hell like Val Kilmer and Cary Elwes
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 5, 2017 3:02 PM |
Not one of your choices is African-American. You're a fucking racist. All the Brothers have perfect faces. Have you even seen my beautiful husband Will Smith? No, because you're obsessed with whitey.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 5, 2017 3:27 PM |
I am white and find your list, OP, stunningly, blindingly white.

How soon we forget the handsome tea sellers of the world.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 5, 2017 3:41 PM |
David Gandy. Glad you put him on the list. Man, he is perfect. Some nudes on the interwebs. Nice solid cock on him.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 5, 2017 3:49 PM |
Wow, some of you with the write-in candidates have horrible taste.
JFK Jr. gets my vote, but Jon-Erik was a close second.

I suspect Hexum, a college football player, would have kept the bod; he probably would be playing uber-hot Daddy parts on CW shows.
he seemed SO gregarious and friendly in all his interviews; laid back, fun and funny.
RIP

by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 6, 2017 5:22 AM |
James Purefoy ca. Bedrooms and Hallways & Jeremy Northam ca. The Net (yes, bad film) & Rupert Graves in Maurice are probably the actors I've been most attracted to, along with, God help me, the wooden John Gavin in Psycho. Takeshi Kaneshiro was stunning in House of Flying Daggers (another shit movie); my straight friend was on the set during filming and said he was a total cunt. Benoit Magimel had his moment in The Piano Teacher. Grégoire Colin had off-the-scale magnetism in that Billy Budd-inspired film and also The Dreamlife of Angels. Gary Cooper in Morocco and Gregory Peck in Spellbound were both about as pretty as men can be. Garrett Neff and Sean O'Pry look injection molded to me, though the latter is kind of my type facially.
When I'm visiting NYC, I see guys just as good looking as those above than those on almost every block, and for some reason especially the young (early-to-mid 30s) bougie jock dads shopping at the Union Square Whole Foods who look like they rowed or played soccer at fancy New England LACs. Yes, I got imprinted with a type in school as my sexual awareness dawned.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 6, 2017 5:54 AM |
Brad Pitt in legends of the fall was perfection.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 6, 2017 5:59 AM |
Keanu Reeves was prettier than any of them.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 6, 2017 6:01 AM |
Young Richard Gere, too. David Thomson hilariously described him thus: "There are times when Richard Gere has the warm affect of a wind tunnel at dawn, waiting for work, all sheen, inner curve, and posed emptiness. And those are not his worst times."
I don't get people who swoon over Tom Cruise (at all, in any way) or Brad Pitt, whom I only found appealing in Thelma and Louise and, even then, only from the neck down.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 6, 2017 6:02 AM |
And Rodrigo Santoro in Behind the Sun and Love, Actually (a film I loathe).
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 6, 2017 6:04 AM |
I'd be remiss not to mention Louis Jourdan at his peak hotness. Most of these guys only had stop-you-in-your-tracks beauty for <10 years.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 6, 2017 6:13 AM |
Keanu? Really? Maybe in Speed and Point Break. But he's such a risible screen presence that I never felt anything. In college I saw Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing and the audience burst into cry-laughter every time he appeared; such was his incongruity in an otherwise lovely film
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 6, 2017 6:16 AM |
I also don't get the enthusiasm for Hexum, bless his poor, stupid heart. Great body. His jaw was too wide and gave him a prole look. The streets of Scandinavian countries teem with much better specimens of the type.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 6, 2017 6:23 AM |
Keanu in his prime. The epitome of gorgeous.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 6, 2017 6:31 AM |
Hexum was achingly handsome. Back in the day, it would have taken a passel of bodyguards to keep me off him were I in his vicinity.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 6, 2017 10:42 AM |
Alain Delon in Purple Noon. None more beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 6, 2017 2:03 PM |
Young Keanu's placid pretty face was something I enjoyed looking at. He has a unique, mixed-race fleshy nose, among other features.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 6, 2017 2:09 PM |
The fleshy nose, again. The dark eyes and absence of "pretty" long eyelashes, there is a severe elegance for someone who is derided for being a bit of a simpleton.
If anyone rose to superstardom just for his face, it must be Keanu. I agree its not his acting ability though he can be super effective.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 6, 2017 2:13 PM |
But Brando had the face, body, and the acting chops, hands down.

R14 maybe one day you will grow up and realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone is never going to agree with one persons opinion of perfect, while I might not agree with who you believe is perfect, it does not lessen them in your eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | July 6, 2017 3:32 PM |
Richard Gere with his slitty eyes. What he had, and they came out in his mid to late 20's, were impeccable cheekbones.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | July 6, 2017 3:39 PM |
Who's that at R62?
by Anonymous | reply 63 | July 6, 2017 3:48 PM |
Sean was only a cute young man.
Became quite handsome later.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | July 6, 2017 3:49 PM |
Jamie Dornan who looked striking as a underweight young fashion model but in recent talk show appearances is a puffy pleasant looking irish bloke.

I don't mind the decaying sleezy looking middle aged Colin Farrell, however. Like Clooney, he looks best middle aged. Clooney looked great until he hit the wall quite recently.

R45, that's fair; to each his own, I always say.
From all the clips I saw and his work on Voyagers, this gregarious charming friendly personality shined through; kind of like Hugh Jackman; I just got that he was a great guy. To me, that adds to the attraction.
And, yes, one stupid mistake ended it all -- except the memories -- I'm glad I never had to pay for my life with stupid shit I've done.

by Anonymous | reply 113 | July 30, 2017 3:13 PM |
I'd go for Rory Lamont in a heartbeat. One of my mates was at school with him and said that both he and his brother (the equally delectable Sean) were the sorts of guys you'd want to be friends with - big, strong and capable of clearing your path to the bar. I've often described rugby players as being the Labradors of the sports world - Lamont looks like a hyperactive Golden Retriever.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | July 30, 2017 3:19 PM |
Add Brandon P. Bell to that list. Holy fuck, but he's gorgeous.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | July 30, 2017 3:22 PM |
Here's what Keanu Reeves has going for him today, that some people on this list don't: he's still alive, and he looks better at 53, then he did at 23.
I've never been a huge Reeves fan, but I have to give it to the guy. He's is one of the few who looks hotter as he gets older.
I would want nothing to do with a 25 yo Reeves, but he would turn my head now that he is in his 50s.
Btw, some of you girls have questionable tastes.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | July 30, 2017 3:24 PM |
R114, that's a great expression -- "were the sorts of guys you'd want to be friends with - big, strong and capable of clearing your path to the bar. "
that fits the guy I'm always chasing, sadly. Even as a pal it never seems to work out :(
by Anonymous | reply 117 | July 31, 2017 5:47 PM |

But anti-Semitism is A-OK, R176?
People have their taste, and if there's one area where you have a right to be racist, sexist, transphobic, whatever, it's in the area of who you find fuckable. It's not fair and it creates an elite class out of people who had the random good luck to have their chromosomes line up just right, but life ain't fair. You might as well complain this thread is "looksist" which of course it is.
Cultural attitudes might play a part, but our own personal experiences--TV shows we watched, a neighbor we had a crush on-probably factor more. It's totally personal and ridiculous for activists to try and police what gives someone else a hard-on.
I don't get on here and wag my finger at guys who lust after River Phoenix that they should find more traditionally masculine objects of desire, let alone their ethnicity or religious background, but when a post of a guy with a Jewish last name brings the Anti-semitic Troll out of the woodwork, that calls for a smackdown.

Late to the game, but what's with illiterates like the OP who are incapable of using English like it's a language and not a series of graffiti pictures?
Why is the DL so loaded with people challenged by simple English skills? Is it because of the bad educations people are getting or the laziness from technology addiction, or is it a reflection of all the estrogen in chicken products leaving people with female intelligence levels?
I'm concerned.
And the answer to the poll is "other - if do explain."

by Anonymous | reply 240 | October 19, 2017 6:02 PM |
Admittedly O'Toole is gorgeous but he had a nose job to have movie star looks so can we include him?
Alain Delon in Purple Noon and Nino Castelnuovo in Umbrellas would get my vote.

Rob Lowe. And, he is STILL BEAUTIFUL.
by Anonymous | reply 250 | October 19, 2017 6:54 PM |
I’m fascinated by Tommy DiDario. His face is very and oddly asymmetric. He might have a glass eye. Something is up there. Still handsome, in any case.
by Anonymous | reply 251 | October 19, 2017 8:33 PM |
Matthew Daddario might have the best looking face of any actor. and a great body as well.
by Anonymous | reply 252 | October 22, 2017 6:18 PM |
It’s a toss up among Paul Newman, JFK jr (he wins if you consider body as well) and Bea Arthur....

I wish there was an app that could use a photo to show you like an optimized version of your own face so that you could go into a cosmetic surgeon's office knowing what could be done to make you the best version of yourself.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" may be a cliché, but I find it to be a very accurate statement regarding perception of beauty or "perfection".

by Anonymous | reply 291 | March 25, 2018 6:34 PM |
^ True, but at his peak that face was perfection. I remember a tv show where they used the golden ratio mask to determine which celebs was mathematically the best looking, Tom Cruise won. I can’t remember which female celeb won.
by Anonymous | reply 292 | March 25, 2018 6:37 PM |
I’m sorry. There’s no way Tom Cruise could win a beauty contest with that nose.
by Anonymous | reply 293 | March 25, 2018 6:41 PM |
JFK, Jr. Period, end of story. Perfect face, hair, body. Just gorgeous.
Brad Pitt comes in second, however, the man still looks gorgeous, and I think he’s better looking now, than before.
by Anonymous | reply 294 | March 25, 2018 6:47 PM |
Brad Pitt is disqualified by poor skin. You people are lax graders.
by Anonymous | reply 295 | March 25, 2018 6:51 PM |
I agree about JFK JR
another beauty gone far too early was Jon-Erik Hexum
There are a few fan pages dedicated to him on social media; the numbers aren't that high, but that's okay.
He's remembered.

by Anonymous | reply 297 | March 25, 2018 6:52 PM |
by all accounts Hexum was a cool guy, nice to his fans and easy to work with.
Sucks that one stupid mistake, one moment of frustration and not thinking took him from this world.
by Anonymous | reply 299 | March 25, 2018 6:59 PM |
Tom Cruise is and always was average at best. As far as Hollywood star power, Pitt came on the scene and blew him out of the water. As did DiCaprio.
by Anonymous | reply 301 | March 25, 2018 8:13 PM |
the above image is adorable and pushes all my buttons, having grown up without a dad and having been told he was a good guy (cancer; I was 5; I"m lucky to have some memories)
But here's an off topic question: does it matter if the president's a dick or not if he can put more money in the average joe's 401K?
by Anonymous | reply 304 | March 25, 2018 8:34 PM |
R304, money does matter, but it’s not the only thing that matters.
Now back to the subject at hand: yes, that picture tugs at my heart strings too.
It’s a real shame that this family has had so much tragedy and plain old bad luck.
I would have been eager to see what this young man would have done with his life.
It was a lot of pressure. The son of an assassinated president, who also just happened to be somewhat shy, but generally kind, and absolutely gorgeous.
Everyone would have wanted him to run. And the kid would have won hands down with the right people around him.
Oh well.

Theo James is my idea of perfection. Those lips!
by Anonymous | reply 306 | March 25, 2018 8:54 PM |
I walked into a hotel rest room after a press conference Theo was attending. I think maybe for Golden Boy on CBS?
He was in the area where the sinks were, not the urinals so I have nothing to share other than to say the sweater he was wearing was HUGGING his rock hard body. I'd never seen anyone so beautiful in person.

threads like this are fun, but ultimately SO personal, I mean one man's perfect face is another man's ho-hum. so, just because I love his music but never saw him as a sexual being, I nominate Paul McCartney when he was much younger. but it is tough to find a photo that is not attached to pinterest. this one is ok, I guess.

The French-British guy from Tahiti @ R396 has very nice symmetry.
But his IG displays a navel-gazing selfie obsession (with exactly the same facial expression in each one, oddly). It's as if they fear that showing any sign of human emotion would ruin their carefully rehearsed 'look'.
