Magdalene used to drop in from time to time until a few years ago. VOTN went away to med school (or chiropractic school, can't recall) and didn't have time to post here anymore.

There was a regular poster here from Boston I think, who was well-schooled in meteorology and other scientific stuff who I remember posting the day before Katrina hit. They were giving hourly updates about how huge it was and how historic a storm it was shaping up to be. That was an interesting time on DL, when major events occurred and the breadth of knowledge among the posters.

Susie Lee certainly had her day here on DL. Had a lot of interesting old Hollywood tales and decent dish. She posted a lot - I think she was ill and bedridden - but always enthusiastically.

There was a time when most if not all of us signed our posts, then an especially nasty group came to DL and attacked anyone who used a signature.

It had nothing to do with what anyone was posting; they declared open season on anyone who wasn't anonymous because they could. We lost some of our most interesting posters then. I left for a time and then came back when I was bedridden and bored out of my mind for several months.
