Definitely not - the Spaz Troll has only been around for a few months and never signs himself. He takes over dying threads pretending to be the original OP and can be quite amusing, but is never homophobic or racist.

So why is it named the Spaz Troll? And wtf is wrong with it that it would pretend to be the OP of a thread?

The Spaz Troll spazzes (messes up) the thread once the OP has (seemingly) abandoned it. Sometimes the OP comes back and gets incensed.

The Spaz Troll has a stalker who usually (but not always) alerts the others on the thread of the Spaz Troll's presence.

I actually wouldn't mind the Spaz Troll, but I don't like the pretending to be Op stuff that much. Sometimes I've tried to have an actual chat with a poster and Spaz comes in and messes up the thread. If he'd make it clear he's goofing around, or if it's in a fun thread, that's one thing, but otherwise not funny if you're really trying to discuss something.

The Spaz Troll is too well known now to be able to spaz threads for long. One outraged poster hates Spazzy and tries to track his every move, so he's often around to alert other posters that Spaz is doing his thing. But not always, cos Spaz is British and the Spaz Stalker is American, so they're on at different times.

The problem with this site, SizzlinJen, is that there are a bunch of miserable old assholes here who sit around and accuse other posters of being trolls. For example, I once made a thread about a serious family issue. I was looking to vent as well as just needing a sounding board. It was really something I couldn't discuss with my family or anyone else in my real life. I got a lot of great responses, but of course, along comes a bitter old shithead who accused me of "trolling." Once that one poster made the accusation, the whole thread went down the drain. Other miserable old queens (maybe just a few, I have no idea) took to the thread and continually made posts declaring me a troll, insisting that my thread was an EST, and so on. It's as if they don't expect any posters to actually have complexities in life. I wasn't lying in my thread, everything I said in it was true, but still, certain posters made the accusation anyway.

He tends to find a very earnest OP with asking about a personal problem, like the guy who posted about 'getting a twink' for him and his partner. Everyone on the thread was desperate to hear about their first weekend with the twink but they didn't come back, so Spaz posted a fake description of what went on and some fake pics of the twink too. Then, ages later. the OP came back and said they hadn't gone through with it after all.

Spaz Troll came along afterward, and yeah, he's fairly harmless. But the problem is that once you get a single "accuser," you're done. Others will pile on you and accuse you of lying. That's why unless the person is obviously joking around with their trolling, (such as the Golden Girls scenario troll), I take posters seriously. It doesn't matter to me one iota bit if you are in fact a 46 year old lesbian or AIKC or whomever, does it? So, for me, I take you as SizzlinJen. All I know for sure, is that when I posted a real personal problem, (something serious) I was accused of all kinds of things. It sucked, let me tell you. On the other hand, I also received a lot of great advice from some very caring people.

I know that Spaz doesn't mean to cause harm to other people, but you also have to understand that once an accusation is made here, it's very hard to shake. DL is a bit (OK a lot) like a schoolyard. One person starts teasing, then the next, then the next. You'll find in many, many threads that there will be several "supportive" posters in a row followed by several assholes. They (the assholes) are like lemmings. Spaz comes in and "pretends" to be the OP. Which in some cases can be funny, but if someone had done that in my thread it would have given the bullies more ammunition, you know? :)

That "getting a twink" thread was kind of funny when Spaz came in. But it's not like it was a "serious" thread. We've had a few of those around here. Some people have nowhere else to turn when faced with issues or maybe they're not quite ready for therapy or to talk to family/friends yet.

R45, I agree, there's an 0/10 troll who believes all the personal posts are fake and comes in and ranks them, which encourages others to take the piss as well. You just have to block all the unsympathetic people, I guess.

The most libellous threads are allowed to run. There were about 18 threads calling the guy from Prince Charming REPULVEDA WHORE OF WHORES in the title - they came up on Google - and they still ran, despite him getting his lawyers onto DL.
