She says that he was sick and a freak in a way that scared her. He had a very perverted and sadistic idea of what sex was, but she went along because she didn’t want the marriage to fail. The things he talked her into doing, though, messed her up so badly that she never really recovered from it.

Is it just me or are blind items getting more and more common by the day? Everyone knows that Fred's relationship with Elisabeth was a nightmare. She's said as much in interviews.

Maybe the $cienos lowered her self esteem and her expectations so much that she just didn't have any perspective or natural instincts when it came to choosing a man. No, no no no no. This is a skewed gossip session. Fred is a commitment-o-phobe. That is what traumatized Elisabeth Moss. He was all in until they got married, and then the reality of the commitment hit him. And then he pulled away and went so deep into himself and up his own ass that it left his new bride totally confused and like in a nightmare. What happened to the adoring, fun, loving guy that was itching to marry her? He morphed into a total arrogant, negligent prick. That's what happened.

So odd that Elisabeth Moss is in Handmaid's Tale and then is basically in a cult.
