I just spent more than 10 minutes on the toilet. I don't recall doing that when I was younger.
Is it true that you never have a normal poop after 40?

Says who?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 6, 2017 5:51 AM |
After 50, there's a huge chance your poops will be autistic.
For some reason this trends on Twitter whenever my son makes a public appearance.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 6, 2017 5:58 AM |
I read that here, R1, so it must be true.

Sitting on the toilet is the greatest experience in life. I would sit there all day if I could. It is completely amazing.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 6, 2017 6:14 AM |
Careful OP, it sounds like you're turning into a straight man.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 6, 2017 6:44 AM |
I make alot of doo doos. It's fun!

The digestive system starts shutting down. Food doesn't so much get digested as it just rots in the colon, producing a much nastier smelling excreta.
Drinking lots of water can help with dry stools as can castor oil.

Pooing takes 12 seconds. In all species. You might be an alien in thinking
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 6, 2017 8:48 AM |
Eat more fiber OP, wishing you the best of health, remember, prevention is better than cure!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 6, 2017 9:13 AM |
why is it so hard to completely empty out in the morning, so you don't have go at work?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 6, 2017 11:09 AM |
Old people have nasty smelling shit.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 6, 2017 11:29 AM |
I see no big difference. It varies, as it always did, based on what you eat and drink and your physical activity. A little seizing when stressed or traveling but that is also due to change in the controlling factors mentioned. Never considered throne sitting anything but a necessary activity to be completed as quickly as possible. Way TMI, I realize.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 6, 2017 11:29 AM |
I take a smelly shit at work and then don't flush. Let someone else flush my shit. lol
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 6, 2017 11:34 AM |
Eat your fucking fruits and vegetables!

I do the NYT crossword when I drop I deuce.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 6, 2017 11:50 AM |
mainly because youre not a sought after bottom once you turn 30, so there isn't a whole lot of action cleaning out your tubes. Expect constipation at 40 and the need for meds and OTC products once you hit 50. 60s? you're pretty much dead
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 6, 2017 12:18 PM |
When you're younger your colon has more natural flora and a higher metabolism so your digestive system works at optimum level. You need to take probiotics regularly, drink water, and be active.

Gone are the days of bagels/cream cheese for breakfast, boxes of chocolate, pizza for dinner!
You would need a c-section!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 6, 2017 12:47 PM |
In the mornings at work, I eat some prunes and green grapes and drink water. Cleans the pipes right out for the rest of the day.
Also, summertime humidity can affect my stomach as well.

Wicked old people have terrible bowels. It's well known in Hollywood to never ever use the bathroom after Betty White has been in there. Pee-you!!!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 6, 2017 1:16 PM |
Yes it's true OP. Congratulations on your retirement from the sex supermarket. Thank you for your service and you may collect your honorarium at the door.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 6, 2017 2:11 PM |
You are dehydrated. Decrease the boose, increase the water. Also do not shit on schedule, let your body tell you when to poop.

I'm 64 and have no problems.
The secret? My homemade granola with rolled oats, almonds and pecans!
Actually, any fiber will do.

Your digestive enzymes are less plentiful and active as you age, but it can start to change at any time.
Just be happy you don't have IBS with DIARRHEA
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 6, 2017 2:35 PM |
The torrent of activity in the recent thread about the constipated OP who didn't poo for 4 days would indicate that DLers are familiar with such problems, yes.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 6, 2017 2:36 PM |
You stink after someone fucks you, OP. It's a dead earth, high colon stench. You need to air out that ass in private. Perhaps sunshine would help kill the odor.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 6, 2017 2:38 PM |
I get explosive diarrhea alot.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 6, 2017 3:07 PM |
It is better to sit on the pot waiting to poop for 10 minutes, than pooping constantly for 10 plus minutes.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 6, 2017 3:10 PM |
I eat a handful of nuts daily-either walnuts or almonds. I notice problems when I forget to eat the nuts.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 6, 2017 3:14 PM |
This thread is hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 6, 2017 3:26 PM |
OP, probiotics. They will change your life.

When you hit your 40s and 50s, you should alter your diet so that you don't have gastrointestinal issues. The body deteriorates over time and doesn't function as well as it did in your 20s and 30s. No more fried food, spicy food, high fat foods, onions, garlic, tomatoes, citrus, chocolate, etc., as these are harder to digest and trigger acid reflux.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 6, 2017 3:49 PM |
Another advantage of being vegan - poops take about 15 seconds. And you go two or three times a day.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 6, 2017 3:50 PM |
I just wish I didn't fart so much. I live alone. How do couples deal with it. You can't hold it in all the time, or keep going into another room to let the wind blow.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 6, 2017 3:53 PM |
Eating healthy makes you fart. Eating less healthy and you're just fine.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 6, 2017 3:54 PM |
This thread made me need to POOP! I took a magazine, relaxed and the poop just popped out!
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 6, 2017 3:57 PM |
I'm reading this thread as I sit on the throne shitting. It stinks in here.

Next time I sew up one of my centipedes, I'm putting the oldest first, and the youngest last.

Yogurt seems to help. Also, have a cigarette, that guarantees a poop. If you don't mind dying prematurely.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 6, 2017 4:46 PM |
I eat old peoples excrement!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 6, 2017 4:52 PM |
Wanna see a picture of my doo doos?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 6, 2017 4:52 PM |
I´m getting aroused. For some reason I like to read about people straining to poop.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 7, 2017 11:10 AM |
We usually go poopoo at least three times each day!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 7, 2017 12:46 PM |
Just turned 65 and find that I can no longer eat certain foods. Chocolate has been out for a few years, gums up my digestive system.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 7, 2017 1:18 PM |
I’ve read studies on this from Harvard.

No reason to live. I am less than halfway through my 50s. I eat a nice big bowl of oatmeal in the morning and anything else I want to the rest of the day.

Coffee helps make you poop.
