The Gayest Album Covers from Straight Artists
by Anonymous | reply 209 | September 9, 2018 2:20 PM |
It looks like the guy in the front on the Orleans album cover is looking down approvingly at the dick of the guy on his left.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 15, 2017 8:10 PM |
Ambrosia - One Eighty
The hair. Dear god, that poodle hair.
The seductive wrap around of blue shirt guy and his flash of denim-clad thigh.
The deer-in-headlights mug shot look of the guy on the left...who knows he's now part of one the gayest album covers ever.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 15, 2017 8:13 PM |
Hall & Oates' front cover for their 1982 album, H2O - what is this sweaty, hairy piece of flesh? A man's ass???
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 15, 2017 8:19 PM |
The back cover to Hall & Oates' 1982 album, H20 - they're about to start tongue-kissing, right?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 15, 2017 8:20 PM |
The Temptations have had some back covers that were gay, gay, gay. Here is the back of their "Bare Back" album ("Bare Back"???).
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 15, 2017 8:22 PM |
Oh, the tight Jordaches (or Jordache knock-offs)! Oh, Dennis - you're being a little extra, aren't you?

Robert Conrad - Ballin' the Jack.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 15, 2017 8:32 PM |
So far r16 is the funniest. What was he thinking?
And I'm sure Bob Conrad balled plenty of guys named Jack....
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 15, 2017 8:34 PM |
R6 I loved that album cover! That was an actual zipper you could move up and down! And that was hottie Joe Dallesandro's bulging cock on the cover.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 15, 2017 8:34 PM |
R19 I'd have balled and jacked Robert Conrad when he looked like that.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 15, 2017 8:35 PM |
R1 Most of Prince's album covers were pretty gay.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Put your hands on your hips and show us those bulges, girls!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 15, 2017 8:50 PM |
The Commodores = more black men showing off their derrieres in tight designer jeans. Some of the men (Lionel Richie included) finish off the look with heels.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 15, 2017 8:50 PM |
Stryken. They look like a bunch of Jersey girls at the mall.

There is some questionable hands-on contact and directed gazes going on with that Commodores album cover, too.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 15, 2017 8:59 PM |
R48 There sure are. They're loving each other...and each others' asses!
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 15, 2017 9:00 PM |
R47 - I thought the posting rules were no gay artists. Or does that count because George Michael was "straight" at the time?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | April 15, 2017 9:03 PM |
I always thought Poison was the frilliest hair metal band:
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 15, 2017 9:06 PM |

Paul Lekakis is straight, Straight, STRAIGHT!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 67 | April 15, 2017 9:22 PM |
Is there a slight "Village People" theme going on with Marlon and Tito? You know how the gays have sometimes embraced pseudo-masculine imagery such as the military and athletics. And Randy just looks like he can't wait to hit Chelsea.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 15, 2017 9:29 PM |
You are correct, r66.
Bret was practically a Barbie doll when she started out:
by Anonymous | reply 69 | April 15, 2017 9:29 PM |
R16, it's "Jon Keyworth," and you should be banned from posting ever again...because you also failed to include the inner sleeve of that delightful album:
by Anonymous | reply 70 | April 15, 2017 9:29 PM |
Why did the various Straight Men have naked men on their covers? Naked men showering, naked men presenting hole... these were STRAIGHT Artists???
I've never heard of any of those guys with the naked covers. Who were they?
by Anonymous | reply 76 | April 15, 2017 10:34 PM |
The Chili Peppers love being naked and they love their cocks.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | April 15, 2017 10:43 PM |
That's not the whole group, R65, just one of them who now is a male stripper. And that's a bootleg release, R72.

Obscure music tidbit:
r74's UFO cover is a photo of Genesis P. Orridge and his (then) girlfriend/bandmate, Cosey Fanni Tutti.
I KNOW...RIGHT!!!?!

Whitesnake seems to be a homage to the infamous Mom's Apple Pie LP cover
by Anonymous | reply 83 | April 16, 2017 9:08 AM |
Mom's Apple Pie. This should appeal to the guys here who are always starting threads about vaginas.
This cover was banned, the new cover featured a bricked up vagine.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | April 16, 2017 9:10 AM |
Bowie, with a dog's dick. This cover was banned too.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | April 16, 2017 9:17 AM |
R86 How is that even remotely gay? A man hugging his son?
by Anonymous | reply 89 | April 16, 2017 12:08 PM |
Never mind.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | April 16, 2017 12:17 PM |
R92 I thought of that one, but after reading about how the photo was created, it lost it's gay sensibility to me.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | April 16, 2017 6:12 PM |
r83's Whitesnake cover is very yonic and straight -- NOT gay.
You do realize that snake's mouth is just a huge vagina, right?
by Anonymous | reply 94 | April 16, 2017 6:53 PM |
r84 = another yonic illustration for straight guys.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | April 16, 2017 6:54 PM |
" How is that even remotely gay? A man hugging his son?"
Don't be silly, the casual U2 fan had no idea that was Larry Mullen's son! Nice try troll.
I actually remember a TV talk show host asking U2 if they got any flak for that cover.

by Anonymous | reply 143 | April 19, 2017 7:53 PM |
Some pretty weak suggestions lately.
Simply depicting a shirtless male is not gay. Men come that way and most of the people who like shirtless males are straight.
So, you'll have to do better than that, r100, r106, r107, r111, r114, r118, r120 and r125.
Only pictures that HAVE to be gay. Not homoerotic, but GAY.
What about the picture diminishes the likelihood that the man is straight?
by Anonymous | reply 144 | April 19, 2017 7:59 PM |
R144 is cuckoo
by Anonymous | reply 145 | April 19, 2017 9:40 PM |
R144 is DLs overly neurotic poster. I imagine him in school constantly interrupting his teachers and classmates to say something "important".

Great thread! I remember being intrigued by several of these as a kid (seems like Hipgnosis was fond of sneaking in a bare ass on the covers they designed). I'll just add this one from Ned Doheny, an early Asylum Records/David Geffen signing.

Siouxsie and the Banshee's Supersition. The album (and the single "Kiss Them For Me" was my introduction to the band. I thought, based on the cover sleeve (and the promo video for "Kiss Them for Me" with the guys in full leather gear and a poodle) that the band members were all strictly gay and Siouxsie was their fag hag.

Siouxsie married, the guy with the white hair on the back cover. He was the band's drummer, Budgie. They never had kids.
According to Wiki: "Siouxsie married drummer Budgie (real name: Peter Edward Clarke) in May 1991. The following year, they moved to the southwest of France.
In an interview with The Sunday Times in August 2007, she announced that she and Budgie had divorced. In an interview with The Independent, she said, "I've never particularly said I'm hetero or I'm a lesbian. I know there are people who are definitely one way, but not really me. I suppose if I am attracted to men then they usually have more feminine qualities."
by Anonymous | reply 180 | April 26, 2017 5:04 PM |
r180, exactly. it was quite a shock for me to find out that all the guys were straight and having girlfriends. The band split in 1995 basically because Siouxsie couldn't stand Steven Severin's girlfriend and she felt the whole band dynamic felt off (appjarently her husband struggled with alcoholism but they kept on going on as The Creatures until they got divorced and she released as solo album called Mantaray).
by Anonymous | reply 181 | April 26, 2017 5:09 PM |
Loved The Creatures, I have their EPs somewhere.
Wasn't Robert Smith a sometime member of the band? I have a live Banshees LP he's on. IIRC, at one point Robert was in both The Cure and the Banshees.

Roxy Music's Country Life. Always figured the woman on the right was transsexual, especially as famous trans model Amanda Lear had already been on Roxy's second LP cover. The face is very masculine.

Huh? Why is it so difficult to believe the model on the right on the Roxy LP cover is trans? That's an extremely masculine face.
Tula, one of the world's most famous trans models and Bond Girls, had a very feminine body before transitioning. Here's Tula, yes she was a man.
by Anonymous | reply 198 | November 9, 2017 3:57 AM |
