Well he got the AIDS so I'm gonna say he was a power bottom.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 15, 2017 1:29 PM |
People get AIDS only if they are bottoms, R2?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 15, 2017 1:32 PM |
Either way, his dick must've gotten pretty huge when it got hard.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 15, 2017 1:34 PM |
Bottoms have a much higher chance of getting HIV, especially if they take loads.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 15, 2017 1:44 PM |
Mostly R3.

He was 1000% all MAN... and I'm the dame that can prove it. He fucked me in the alley behind Studio 54 in 1979.

Most druggies are bottoms, for obvious reasons

I was friends for a while, back in 1984, early 1985, with his last partner Jim Hutton, who I am sure was a top. Got to know him in the London clubs, both of us being Irish, and I liked the way he moved. He slept in my bed a few nights too as he usually fell asleep on the night bus and overshot his stop in South London, nothing happened between us, we were just club pals. Then we heard he had taken up with Mercury and saw him no more apart from one night at Heaven superclub when my best friend and I were on acid and grooving to the club tracks, when Jim came rushing up with a guy and said "This is Freddie", so I said "Hi Freddie" and kept on dancing - didnt recognise him at all, as I was not into Queen then - he was just another clone. So that was the last I saw of them. Jim too later died of Aids related illness back in Ireland, after getting only half a million of Freddie's money. He wrote a book, and appears in the video for Freddie's "Living On My Own". I saw in new year 1985 with Jim sleeping beside me at the apartment of his then boyfriend Tony Robson, an air steward, in Wandsworth, South London - he was a popular guy in the scene, and he and I finally got it on as Jim slept on. I wonder if he - Tony - is still here now ...

I guess it's true that most bareback bottoms eventually contact HIV, but I always wondered why super sexy porn star "Lee Ryder", whom I never saw bottom in his movies, died from AIDS.
Maybe in his off-camera life he bottomed.

Thats Jim kissing Freddie in OP's post.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 15, 2017 2:38 PM |
Apparently Freddie's first words to Jim, when seeing him in a club, was "how big is your cock?" so I think we know the answer.
Someone said that to me once, as a come on, I merely retorted "not big enough for you obviously" and moved on.

Thanks for sharing R9. We rarely get that kind of gossip on DL.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 15, 2017 2:52 PM |
Aside from those quite distracting upper buck teeth, Freddie was not bad looking.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 15, 2017 2:59 PM |
He was into some wild shit. He would get fisted after his concerts.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 15, 2017 2:59 PM |
Jim's book - still available. I have a paperback copy.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 15, 2017 3:04 PM |
Enjoyed his music. His "I am the Great Pretender" rendition was excellent. Superb singing voice.

Tony Bastin, one of Freddie's lovers. I read somewhere that he also died from AIDS.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 15, 2017 4:56 PM |
Bill Reid was also one of F. Mercury's ex- lovers
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 15, 2017 4:58 PM |
Joe Fanelli was one of Freddie's luckiest lovers. He remained his cook until Freddie finally died and Freddy left him a part of his money in his will.

r12 = tinymeat (aka less than 7 inches long and 6 inches around)

Was usually English not your first language, OP?

Jim Hutton? What did Paula Prentiss think?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 15, 2017 5:10 PM |
David Minns was his first serious male partner. I have read that Freddie stopped living with Mary to pursue the relationship with David.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 15, 2017 5:10 PM |
Jim Hutton, Freddie's last lover had also contracted AIDS, but he did not pass away from AIDS related complications. He died from cancer, when he reached the age of sixty .
Here is a photo of Freddie with Hutton, both without mustaches!

I can't imagine David Minns fucking Freddie, but i can imagine Freddie fucking David...

[quote]but I always wondered why super sexy porn star "Lee Ryder", whom I never saw bottom in his movies, died from AIDS.
I remember reading some porn producer saying that Lee Ryder was actually a bottom in his private life.
Back to Freddie, I also know that the room service waiter who waited on him when he was in town told me he had gone to the local S&M bar after the concert, and brought a couple of guys back to the hotel with him, and he was definitely a bottom. Hearsay, of course.

Big deal. So would Dame Joan Sutherland.

I've been on a Queen kick lately listening to music and reading some stuff about Freddie. My biggest complaint is that Sasha Baron Cohen is not going to be Freddie in the Queen movie. No one else can pull that off like Borat.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 15, 2017 6:15 PM |
It is true that Sasha Baron Cohen stepped out of this project, because he wanted to present a darker side of Freddie Mercury's character, but Brian May and Roger Taylor disagreed...?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 15, 2017 6:23 PM |
May and Taylor want the movie to be about Queen. Cohen wanted the movie to be about Freddie.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 15, 2017 6:41 PM |
That's too bad R31. Cohen could and would have been perfect for that role.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 15, 2017 6:49 PM |
Thanks for the info about Jim, r25. He was a sweet unpretentious guy when I knew him, hard to imagine him putting up with the circus around Freddie.

IV drug user
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 15, 2017 10:21 PM |
Didn't Elton John make some comments about Mercury having unprotected sex way late in the game?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 23, 2017 12:48 AM |
Brian May told Sasha that he wanted the second half of the movie to be about Queen, "who went from strength to strength after Freddie's death."
That's when he threw in the towel.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 23, 2017 1:33 AM |
Freddie was bisexual, basically mainly a bottom-for men and Brasilian pre-op trannies, and a top with women. He also was into IV drugs.
R35, Elton did the same as did lots of bisexual and gay men. It is pure luck that Elton was not infected. Also, if you were not around then HIV/AIDS was very new and despite how health organizations and governments said to use condoms you had lots of men and women who had the mentality that they could continue to have unsafe sex and IV drugs as they had for years, and would stay HIV negative.

He was a top with that Thai boy whose sphincter he prolapsed, according to the tale.

You silly tops. I cared how big someone's dick was long before I ever got fucked in the ass.
Oh, and it wasn't called "bareback" then. Just "fucking."

R25 the cancer happened because of AIDS. he didn't have a working immune system.

His occasional FB was DJ and TV personality Kenny Everett, who I believe was a top.

[QUOTE]His occasional FB was DJ and TV personality Kenny Everett, who I believe was a top.
There's a book of short stories that take place in the 1980s that I read recently with a somewhat fictionalized version of the night Freddie and Kenny (and their friend Cleo Rocos) took Princess Diana to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern dressed in male drag. The "Kenny" character, at one point, is like, "This is so 'Roman Holiday'!"
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 11, 2019 7:05 PM |
Maybe he was neither, dumb shit.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | February 11, 2019 7:17 PM |
According to Jim Hutton's book "Mercury and Me", Freddie was bottom leaning vers: "Freddie could be either active or passive, but tended to be the latter throughout our relationship; it depended on the time of the month."
