Was there ever any real reason to think he's not straight? I only remember him playing a closet case in Downton Abbey. That didn't make me think he's gay. BTW, I know nothing about his private life. Anyone could be gay, bi or straight, especially with these acteur types.

I vaguely remember seeing him in somewhere earlier but he was never someone I was looking too closely into. I didn't actually even realize it was him playing the closeted guest in Downton Abbey until I saw the scene on Youtube after Daredevil.

I don't think he is gay, he has a kid. I know a lot of people on here like the conspiracy theory side of things, but I tend to think that the simplest explanation is probably the best - that he really is straight and has a kid, rather than that he is living out some elaborate pantomime of being straight and having a kid. It doesn't stop me from enjoying how cute he is.

When he was first cast as for the Netflix series, I thought he was miscast since the Matt Murdoch character is blond in the comics. But he's truly excellent as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. And the show is phenomenal, perhaps my current favorite program.

It's the same case as many British actors doing an American accent. It's fine when he is talking normally, but when he needs to be emotional you often hear his accent slipping.

He and Kristen Ritter had the best acting/chemistry in The Defenders, the banter between them is pretty funny. This shows what good actors they are. He's the reason Daredevil is the lead show.

When he fights Iron Fist (when it's not his stunt double), he is in better shape and has more physical grace than Finn Jones. He has a hot body whereas Finn is scrawny looking. I always thought he was a good actor and very underrated even before Boardwalk Empire. No one notices his acting because he's quiet but he gives his characters a quiet inner strength.

Yep, Charlie Cox and Ritter were magic together in The Defenders r29.

Before watching you knew they were the better acting pair of the foursome, but seeing them all on the same show made it obvious.

Luke has banged 3 female characters on that show--- Jessica, Claire and the Misty Night. He can't get all the girls. And there's now way Misty Night and IF should hook up, it's like a woman with a child.

I don't think Jessica is Matt's type. She must smell as she wears the same clothes everyday. But there is certainly an interesting spark between those two.

I dunno. All of the Defenders are broken in some way or another, and Jessica is possibly the most broken, but her damages seems to gel with Matt's better than with Luke's.

Jessica and Luke are a pretty iconic comic book couple. They have a kid and a surprisingly stable marriage.

No, he's got to knock her up eventually. But they also need to have Luke and Danny get closer, since Danni Cage is his namesake.

As unappealing as Danny could be, by the end of Defenders, his "overly eager puppy" routine with the other Defenders became kind of endearing, and it's a shame they couldn't find a way to carry that over into his dealings with Elektra and the rest of the Hand.
