Watched this today. Just a little movie with 2 good looking "real guys". Kind of reminded me of WEEKEND. Some nice sex scenes. Stars furry Lucas Near-Verbrugghe from GRIMM. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
LAZY EYE: new gay movie on Netflix

I was thinking of freezing my NF account because I'm sick of subsidizing reboots & remakes no one asked for except some mid-level studio VP who doesn't actually read books, virtue-signaling propaganda disguised as documentaries, and reruns of shows I hated both then and now. But this is making me reconsider.

I didn't like this movie. Sorry.

Lazy Eye has an interesting premise... too bad it doesn't go anywhere. It is, however, worth seeing for the two lead's performances.

OP, have you seen "Naz and Maalik", "Viva" or "In the Greyscale" (all now on Netflix)? What did you think of them?

I saw "Greyscale" but don't remember much about it. Will check out the other two if you think they are worth it!

I thought the two leads did a good job with the material and that the material, aside from being perhaps a little too dramatic in spots, wasn't bad at all. It didn't hurt that Aaron Costa Ganis is just my type. All in all, a pleasant diversion.

In the same way "The Green Berets" kind of reminded you of "Apocalypse Now"....?

You can see a screencap in the hairy bearded guys thread..

I really liked it. One of the best of these low-budget indies that I've seen in a long time. One of the few that didn't need to be graded on a curve, either. My perceptions may be colored by the fact that as I begin to molt into an eldergay, the stuff that comes up is stuff that I've had on my mind recently.
Both leads are straight, right?

Hopefully not!!

Pretty sure that Aaron Costa Ganis is gay. Dunno about Lucas Near-Verbrugghe..

4/10

Strategically-blocked crotch shots. Only in America.

No where near as satisfying as Weekend--that seemed like a movie about real people in a rather ordinary place, whereas this was all "Los Angeles" and too upper middle class for words. The concept was relatable and Alex as certainly do-able, but Dean was not a sympathetic main character and the character development for Alex was absent. We've all seen too many indie movies about relationships and people who are a little too well off and clueless to be real.

I guess Aaron Costa Ganis is gay, at least going by social media. Can't tell about the other guy. And he's the one who's more my type.
They're both pretty #woke, though.

Generally an ok movie, but I just couldn’t get over the whole reason for Alex reaching out. I dunno. As a long time married person who would love a one night stand with a hypothetical hot ex, expecting him to break up was just ridiculous
