Tom Everett Scott

I was watching How to Get Away With Murder and he played a priest who murdered a child molester. He's still pretty hot. Why didn't Tom make it as a star?

by Anonymousreply 38November 22, 2019 3:20 PM

I don't know. He was so endearing several years back, and I hoped he'd make it big.

I've always found him very attractive. Boyishly handsome and disarmingly charming.

I didn't know T.E.S. was 6'4" -- and he's got pretty feets.

Was confused when he turned up in LA LA LAND; he's just famous enough that I thought he would have a larger role. Looked great, BTW.

by Anonymousreply 7April 20, 2017 9:01 AM

Interesting career in film and TV... it has the feel of what would have once been called "journeyman". You can see him a good film like "That Thing You Do" (he was excellent and adorkable), then is on stage in NYC playing closeted actor in "Little Dog Laughed". Later he plays a cop who goes corrupt on TNT's "Southland" and he in the first season (or was it two seasons) of the incredibly cheesy zombie show "Z Nation". And there he is surprising audiences as Emma Stone's husband in LA LA LAND.

I don't know him, but the career feels interesting and varied. I believe he's been married for years, has several children.

by Anonymousreply 8April 20, 2017 10:36 AM

He had a recurring role as the governor of NY on "Law and Order," until Jack McCoy brought him down.

by Anonymousreply 9April 20, 2017 6:57 PM

Please don't forget that he played Oscar-nominated Meryl Streep's son in One True Thing!

by Anonymousreply 10April 20, 2017 8:24 PM

He plays Tyler's dad on 13 Reasons Why.

by Anonymousreply 11April 21, 2017 1:38 AM

Is he married? Because I'm hoping not.

by Anonymousreply 12April 21, 2017 2:42 AM

He's presenting hole at R6.

Funny that, I heard the title song from [italic]That Thing You Do![/italic] on the grocery store PA the other day, reminding me what a great song that was, what a good movie that was, how cute the boys in that band were, and how embarrassing it is that a mid-1960s pastiche was a better-written song than what was actually on the radio concurrently.

by Anonymousreply 16April 22, 2017 7:54 PM

6'4" probably means he's hung.

by Anonymousreply 17April 22, 2017 8:30 PM

It's odd when people use a diminutive or nickname with a middle name.

by Anonymousreply 18April 22, 2017 9:30 PM

Thomas sounds pretentious.

by Anonymousreply 19April 23, 2017 12:38 AM

I think his awkward name held him back. No one can remember that name. How about he rebrands himself "Richard Reece"? That rolls off the tongue.

by Anonymousreply 20April 23, 2017 2:26 AM

I just saw Tom in a holiday movie before Christmas (yes, yes, one of THOSE holiday movies). He is such a handsome man with piercing beautiful eyes. I immediately decided he was prime husband material!

I think he's a great actor, and very good looking. But, I wonder if he's just not super aggressive? Or has a mediocre agent? I see other people and I have no idea why they're as popular as they are. I do remember a long time ago some actor was asked a question like that, and he basically said that you either have to be related to someone, or already have tons of money, or be super aggressive. He just said he liked acting, and would go after parts, but wasn't doing like some actors he knew and busting his ass to get up every morning at 4:00, and weekends, and calling people all the time, etc. He jokingly said he was sort of lazy or something to that effect.

by Anonymousreply 22December 29, 2017 11:53 AM

You may be right R22. maybe he just doesn't want to play the game to be a major "star" and is perfectly happy with being a steady working actor. According to IMBD, he has 10 films or TV episodes in the works for 2017-2018.

by Anonymousreply 23December 29, 2017 12:00 PM

Too fug and a creepy vibe.

by Anonymousreply 24December 29, 2017 12:12 PM

Was he Ellen's love interest in some movie? Or Kate Capshaw's?

by Anonymousreply 25December 30, 2017 12:29 AM

I really liked him in that role, r9. He was very believable as a ruthless, sleazy politician.

by Anonymousreply 26December 30, 2017 12:56 AM

He is so gorgeous it makes me want to hug him tightly and give him succor, or is that suckor.

by Anonymousreply 27December 30, 2017 1:37 AM

He played the son Brett Butler gave up for adoption on "Grace Under Fire."

by Anonymousreply 28December 30, 2017 3:29 AM

I want this man badly.

by Anonymousreply 29December 30, 2017 3:33 AM

He’s the husband on the TruTV show “I’m sorry,” which is absolutely worth binging.

by Anonymousreply 30December 30, 2017 3:36 AM

He played Maura Tierney brother on ER (who was in the military) and he looked good in his military uniform

by Anonymousreply 31December 30, 2017 3:37 AM

Still hot as hell

his ruby lips and hungry asshole beckon me to float silently into his bedroom window and

devour him alive.

by Anonymousreply 32December 30, 2017 3:47 AM

He has the sweetest eyes and the cutest smile ever. He just radiates "nice guy".

I agree R33. He comes across as a genuinely nice man.

by Anonymousreply 34December 31, 2017 4:40 PM

True husband material.

by Anonymousreply 35March 4, 2018 3:39 AM

Brett Butler

by Anonymousreply 36November 22, 2019 2:18 PM

I love him, he is still a star, he doing fine. his cock/ass are superb !!!

by Anonymousreply 37November 22, 2019 2:51 PM

When he was younger he was a Tom Hanks lookalike, so it's no wonder he seems so nice.
