What did Satan actually do that was so fucking terrible?

Personally I always liked this myth. From Bill Moyers incredible interviews with Joseph Campbell - which ironically cemented my atheism.

Religion perverts the mind. What did Satan do? Whatever his creator could come up with to make Satan the bad guy in this ancient tale in order to trap his captive audience (what other entertainment did they have back then anyway?) in a frightful state of mind.

The Bible is fiction. There is more truth in graphic novels than in the Bible, because graphic novels had fewer revisions (as in reboots) than the Bible.
