He waited tables for me (for many months) at California Cuisine, a restaurant in San Diego, CA. Seemed like a nice kid.

He was an Asian and not even the good kind, that wants to work in sweatshops for low wages to give we (or is it us) Americans cheap cell phones.

Cunanan stopped by my Chicago residence just as I was serving dinner to Mr Dahmer and Mr Gacy, you know how pushy those Asians are.

I have a friend who chatted him up at a San Diego bar, shortly before the killing spree. Said he seemed like a nice guy.

OP here. I remember those days though, it seemed like a magical and sexy time and meth wasn't that heavy in the scene. Those circuit parties were supposed to be very exciting events, I never went to one officially though I went to parties similiar on Fire Island.

I've met people who said that they knew him, not so much friends, more like associates. They described him as being charming but also cold and unfeeling. They also described him as secretive, evasive, dishonest (about small things), competitive, moody, impulsive, and grandiose.
Apparently, when he was in a good mood he could be charming, easy to get along with, and a lot of fun, but when he wasn't in a good mood (which was more often than not and would come out of nowhere according to most of them) he could be withdrawn, dismissive, and cruel. Based on these descriptions I began to wonder if he may have been bipolar.

Me and a group of friends ate at California Cuisine when visiting San Diego, just because of this connection.
Although I will always associate the restaurant with Princess Di, as we found out about the accident during dinner.
Crying as I type . . .

My son was an altar boy. He is not a serial killer or homosexual.

"Based on these descriptions I began to wonder if he may have been bipolar. "
That doesn't sound like bipolar, R11, that sounds like an asshole who's only nice to people he thinks are worth his while.
