Back in the day, Buicks were for old people. CADILLACS were the car of choice for blacks.

And I don't get why you end declarative sentences with question marks.

Buicks, Cadillacs, Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles are/were all brands manufactured by GM, headquartered in Detroit, MI. At one time these brands were off limits to blacks because GM wanted to maintain an image of prestige and exclusivity. By the Great Depression, the auto industry was in shambles and GM was about to shutter its luxury brands. One executive, however, observed that many well-heeled African Americans--boxers, musicians, doctors, and lawyers--were driving around in GM cars that they had white people front for them. So, GM brilliantly began targeting the African American market and they ate it up. From that point on, GM cars have been the car of choice for many upwardly mobile African Americans.

Oh, and black people in flashy Cadillacs have become a little too cliché, so many of them are opting for the less conspicuous, but still luxury Buicks.

Here it's Dodges and Chryslers that seem to be very popular in the Black Community.

Why do I only buy Toyotas?
Cause I like them.

R11 - A little off topic, but a word of advice from someone that has owned two Audi's. Unless you buy (lease preferable) a new German car and get rid of it before the warranty expires, you should always remember this phrase -
The most expensive car one can buy, is a cheap German car.
The car featured in the link was $180,000 when new. It will probably sell for $27,000. There's a good reason for that to happen.

I've owned my A6 4.2.since 2000, bought new.
No more problems with it than any other car I've owned.
Rock solid car, still!

[quote]Why are Buicks so popular with black people ???
Because they're not Italian.

It's nice to see that (G(r))Umpy is still with us, with his faux naivete.

Buicks are most popular...in China. GM is even going to be importing cars from there to the US (if Trump doesn't find out that is).

OP is an ass. The Buick is popular with old Italians and Blacks that hail from the city. Brooklyn area around here. The value of the Buick scrapped is in the parts.
Yes the old stereotype of Blacks and cadillacs. Guidos and IROCs. Here's a few old jokes that used to be around. OP sounds very elderly, btw.
Fiat= fix it again Tony futile Italian attempt at transportation
Ford= found on road dead
IROC= Italian retard out cruising I reek of Cologne
Pontiac= poor old ni88er thinks it's a Cadillac

r20 The best car-related acronym has to be, by far, the one that concerned Lee Iacocca, a former head of Chrysler.
IACOCCA = I Am Chairman Of Chrysler Corporation (of) America. Good think he wasn't born into the Lamborghini family, wouldn't have made sense at all.

I drove a used Skylark for a few years in law school. Cool? No. Did it get me around Austin? Yes.
I'm a gay white male, btw. If I could have afforded a cooler car, it would probably have been an import.
And as is obvious, OP = bigot moron
