[R1] - Is that Mare Winningham?

by Anonymousreply 5December 26, 2016 9:45 PM

He was my hero as a kid but I never really fancied him sexually. He wasn't masculine enough and was too scrawny.

by Anonymousreply 6December 26, 2016 9:49 PM

Wasn't he in one of those Stargate movies circa 2007 or so???? He was still hot!!!

TEN YEARS and THIS happened??????

by Anonymousreply 7December 26, 2016 9:50 PM

He gave up.

by Anonymousreply 8December 26, 2016 9:50 PM

Well he's filled out since then. LOL

by Anonymousreply 9December 26, 2016 9:51 PM

he was NEVER hot.

by Anonymousreply 10December 26, 2016 9:54 PM

Too much cake and ice cream and not enough exercise!

by Anonymousreply 11December 26, 2016 9:54 PM

Too much cake!

by Anonymousreply 12December 26, 2016 9:56 PM

He'd still look good if he lost weight.

by Anonymousreply 13December 26, 2016 9:57 PM

That's your opinion R10 and there's no accounting for a lack of taste. So shut it!

by Anonymousreply 14December 26, 2016 9:58 PM

yes that is my opinion you sack of shit. you must be old.

by Anonymousreply 15December 26, 2016 9:59 PM

Granted, he'd look better if he lost the weight. But that neck would require some surgical intervention. The skin can only contract so far. I think he might have some thyroid problems based on that thick neck that looks to be on the verge or a full on goiter.

by Anonymousreply 16December 26, 2016 10:00 PM

We get occasional gay rumors about him. It'd be awesome if he came out.

by Anonymousreply 17December 26, 2016 10:00 PM

And you're obviously VERY stupid R15, not to mention BLIND, you fecal smear.

by Anonymousreply 18December 26, 2016 10:01 PM

ok r18 is has issues. he's still not hot. he's ugly in the face.

by Anonymousreply 19December 26, 2016 10:02 PM

How old is he? 80? Damn.

by Anonymousreply 20December 26, 2016 10:05 PM

He dated Dee Hall. Take from that what you will.

by Anonymousreply 21December 26, 2016 10:12 PM

You scared me op. I read Richard Dean Anderson and thought "fuck he's dead too?"

by Anonymousreply 22December 26, 2016 10:13 PM

I agree with R13 -- perhaps if he lost weight, he would look good again. He'll be 67 this year coming but that's not exactly 90. There's still hope.

By the way, my sister said she heard a rumor that he'll be making a guest appearance on the new "MacGyver" series on CBS. Anyone else heard that? If so, I can't imagine he wouldn't want to get in fighting shape for such an appearance.

by Anonymousreply 23December 26, 2016 10:20 PM

I would let him sit on my face.

by Anonymousreply 24December 26, 2016 10:26 PM

R23, the showrunners have wanted Anderson to join the show, and even said they wrote a great role for him, but he replied with this on his website:

"The promo people for CBS/MacGyver called my agent to see if I would be interested in helping to promote their show.

"So many people have responded to the attempted 'reboot' of the MacGyver franchise, and a lot of people have asked me if I'm going to be in the new show, or am I going to produce it, or, yada.

"And all I can say is, I'm not considering being a part of a project that has overlooked the insanely LOYAL FANS of the original character and has proceeded without considering how and why they all became and STAYED loyal fans...

"Yes, I was asked, but no, I won't be involved in the MacGyver reboot. I have tried to recognize that there really is a balance to be found here. Hence, my loyalty to my fans."

by Anonymousreply 25December 26, 2016 10:27 PM

At this point R24, I doubt you'd survive.

by Anonymousreply 26December 26, 2016 10:27 PM

The new MacGyver character looks so plastic - a typical pretty boy. RDA was ruggedly handsome.

by Anonymousreply 27December 26, 2016 10:36 PM

Interesting, R25, though I can't quite understand what he means by that statement. What is it about the original show's loyal fans that he feels the producers of the new show "overlooked" and which precludes him from making an appearance? Not saying I think he's wrong, just that I don't get his meaning.

Or perhaps, like R27, he thinks the new guy is just a pretty boy and not believable in the role. Can't say I'd disagree with him there.

by Anonymousreply 28December 26, 2016 10:40 PM

I think he means he's too fat to appear on television and is embarrassed to have his fans see him in high def on CBS.

by Anonymousreply 29December 26, 2016 10:43 PM

I'd still hit it

by Anonymousreply 30December 26, 2016 10:43 PM

He messed up his health with MacGyver, second greatest action/adventure hero of all time after Charlton Heston. Minnesota, what a breed, MacGyver, Charlton Heston, Charles Lindbergh, Richard W. Sears, Sinclair Lewis, William Worrall Mayo, Robert Ezra Park, the father of the Global Positioning System, Charles M. Schulz, Herb Brooks, Laura Ingalls Wilder, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Frederick Russell Burnham ...

Too many candy bars.

by Anonymousreply 32December 27, 2016 1:13 AM

Too much chocolate!

by Anonymousreply 33December 27, 2016 1:21 AM

Looks like he got stuck in a doughnut factory.

by Anonymousreply 34December 27, 2016 1:27 AM

He ate all the pies.

So I guess he's basically retired from acting? According to IMDb, his last credit was in 2013 in the last episode of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apt 23" in which he played himself.

by Anonymousreply 37December 27, 2016 2:29 AM

The last thing I heard of him was that he was living in British Columbia Canada with his girlfriend and they had a daughter.

by Anonymousreply 38December 27, 2016 2:37 AM

He looked good right up until he quit Stargate. It was a quick downhill from there.

by Anonymousreply 39December 27, 2016 2:51 AM

He had back surgery at some point and supposedly isn't able to move with enough ease to exercise.

by Anonymousreply 40December 27, 2016 2:53 AM

I remember him from General Hospital. It's pretty sad that Tony Geary aged better than him.

by Anonymousreply 41December 27, 2016 3:17 AM

In a horror con Q&A video on YouTube, actress Brooke Bundy said she slept with Richard Dean Anderson.
