The cold summer continues in Norway. 18°C is the max temp for today. We're in mid-June. It's supposed to be warmer. This is very cold for June. Normal temps are usually 20-25. To not even reach 20 is unheard of. Of COURSE the second shitty summer in a row (last year was shit too) happens when nobody can travel anywhere due to Covid. Everyone is stuck vacationing in Norway with shitty weather. My summer vacation starts in two weeks. They're reporting shitty and cold weather for the next 10 days. I think I just have to come to terms with the fact that this summer will be ruined.

Too bad June has been shit. June is the best month with long days. The longest days are in June. Yesterday, June 21st, was the longest day of the year. Today is already like 2 minutes shorter than yesterday. The shorter days are not really noticable until August though. My 4 week (paid!) long vacation starts July 5th. Hopefully we'll get some nice weather. I have to stay in Norway though, as I'm a Millennial and not vaxxed yet. Thankfully the beach is just a 5 minute walk from where I live.

MotherFUCKER! Went into city yesterday. Bus was late due to traffic. Then we got caught in a torrential downpour nonstop for an hour trying to get through queens.

Thought the rain couldn’t get any worse until I got off the bus 2 blocks from my medical appointment. As soon as I stepped off the bus the rain became like an anvil smashing down on everything. I had an umbrella but was soaked through within 30 seconds. The gutters flooded. Water was at least 3 inches deep & covered my shoes. They were squishing. They didn’t dry out until this afternoon. As soon as I got into the building everybody’s phone went off with the Emergency Broadcast System alert. It was warning us that heavy rain was coming.

No SHIT.

Went back to bus stop for 2.5 hour ride home & it was 40 minutes late. When it finally got there, the AC was on full blast. I was the only person in wet clothes & shoes, as the downpour had ended shorty after I got in the building for my appointment. So I was the only person who was fucking freezing the whole way home.
