Scandalous Bodybuilder/Fitness Model Posing Suits 2

All that guttural catcalling for Paul Krueger
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 11, 2016 8:29 PM |
If I were the son of any of these men I would feel embarassed and would not invite my friends to see my dad almost naked flaunting his penis around a stage exerting highly suggestive moves. Thankfully, mine is not a bodybuilder. 😆
I love muscles, but at the same time I enjoy with sweet delight when people torture the homophobic bodybuilding fans showing them in their face how HOMOerotic and HOMOcentric bodybuilding is. 😜

He's hot. Looks Middle Eastern... R13
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 12, 2016 4:52 AM |
Thanks for setting up this second thread. Paul Krueger in R3 is a cocktease; he knows what is grabbing attention on stage. I wonder if any of the physique photographers have approached him to pose nude. There's not much left to imagine; I'd think he'd love the attention (and the adulation.)
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 12, 2016 5:07 AM |
This is as perfect a presentation in a posing suit gets, nicely supported package with enough hair down there to know it is natural.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 12, 2016 7:48 PM |
Paul Krueger's cock is hot in that video, and in the second part. He "accidentally" bumps it a few times while posing to make it swing a little. Wish there were more videos of him.

The prominent bulge.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 14, 2016 3:06 AM |
I hope that bulge is true because Indian men have this stereotype that says they're not that well-endowed.

Another legend in the sport, Bill Grant. Is it really that much different than wearing a barely-there posing suit?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 15, 2016 10:23 PM |

Today I heard about a pro bodybuilder in Minnesota named Joey who dropped his posing suit onstage in a competition, and posed his whole routine and in the pose-off nude. I thought it was probably a strip show, like at Jimmy Z's, but my friend confirmed it was a sanctioned competition. Has anyone heard about him?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 8, 2016 12:49 AM |
R55, his name is Joey Centauri. He did compete nude in a bodybuilding contest several years ago. There were pictures on the 'net soon afterward, but I cannot track any down now. There was a serious conversation about nude bodybuilding contests on the bodybuilding messageboards. People were polarized, evenly split. It was all in or no way. Some questioned the size of posing suits and therefore why not nude, some wanted to show complete definition of their muscles, some did not want children to be exposed to nude men (and visa versa), some felt it would bring disrepute to the sport. If anyone does have those Joey Centauri nude shots, I'd love to see them.

by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 10, 2016 3:29 AM |
Among those of you who are bodybuilders, or aspire to be, if there was a legitimately sanctioned bodybuilding contest in which posing suits would be optional, would you compete nude?
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 11, 2016 12:54 AM |
Uh no
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 11, 2016 12:55 AM |
There used to be a video of apparently an Italian bodybuilder on Youtube like in 2007 or 2008. He was posing and at the end of his routine he removed his posing suit and covered his penis with his hands and then left the stage. As you might expect, the audience was excited with that last unexpected trick. The title of the video was something like "bodybuilder and surprise at the end".
There was another video that I watched in 2009. It was a charity event with bodybuilders. I remember it was held in a big hall. All bodybuilders were wearing pink posing suits. The video was pretty much in the style of a promo video with some suggestive shots. The thing is that bodybuilders had to flex and pose and people had to approach them and leave money in their posing suits just people do to strippers. The bodybuilders were all smiling and looking confident. But the most intersting part was that people were allowed to touch the bodybuilders' crotches. There were a few images of men touching their balls and it was like the most natural thing to do.
I don't know what kind of charity event was that, but I bet pink symbolised something. I never found the videos again, I think they were deleted ever since. Perhaps they were too much for Youtube at the time, but today they would be nothing special.

by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 12, 2016 8:16 PM |
Thete's nothing scandalous about their posing suits and speedos in the lastest pics.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 13, 2016 3:40 AM |
You have to love some of these guys who claim to be natural.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | November 13, 2016 4:18 AM |
Well, natural or not, it seems to be that getting so sipped isn't really healthy. Sex drive also goes down hill.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 13, 2016 1:24 PM |
Nothing scandalous about the posing suit, but his genitalia looks big in there.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 17, 2016 4:31 AM |
This is kind of scandalous, especially around 3:19.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 17, 2016 5:43 AM |
I have two of his videos. I think one of those was also uploaded on Boyztube... I think he is away from the bodybuilding world now... R72
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The posing suit is so small but so are his balls in the other pic taken from the front.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | November 18, 2016 3:43 AM |
Hey, r74, do you have links to those other vids from guy at r72? Asking for a friend.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | November 18, 2016 3:47 AM |
Is R8 six years old? Emoticons, friends' embarrassment, the peculiar notion that body builders have any cock to show after 'roids - it's a joke post, right?

Some people advocate that bodybuilders be naked when competing, like it used to be in ancient Greece.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | November 19, 2016 10:59 PM |
Uh not really dude
by Anonymous | reply 91 | November 20, 2016 1:11 AM |
R78 and R79 leave me no doubt some bodybuilders would compete nude if they could.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | November 20, 2016 11:50 PM |
Contestant in metallic pink is a bit excited, he even tries to tame his penis a little bit a couple of times during the poses.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | November 21, 2016 11:14 PM |
Would you call this a semi-erection? He is naturally well endowed, but here his penis is simply too notirous.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | November 23, 2016 1:32 AM |
R96, I don't know if he has a semi, but to me it looks like he's wearing a cockring, which would explain why his dick and balls seem to be pushed up to the front. This is something that I suspect some bodybuilders do while posing on stage, at least those whose junk appear to be featured quite prominently.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | November 26, 2016 10:51 AM |
Really? R99
I'm not familiar with cock rings, but it is not the first time I have heard people suggest this explanation when bodybuilders look too prominent down there. But why would he do that? And also, coming from an islamic land as is Egypt how could he even have access to sex toys?
by Anonymous | reply 100 | November 26, 2016 6:15 PM |
Cockrings are found everywhere r100, even in the Middle East. Besides, if bodybuilders from even the most conservative countries can find posing suits, you bet they can find cockrings. They most likely order them online if they really don't have access to a local sex shop.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | November 26, 2016 6:19 PM |
I doubt they are wearing cockrings at mainstream bodybuildonh events. They are not trying to get banned or get branded as a pervert
by Anonymous | reply 102 | November 26, 2016 6:38 PM |
OK r102, then do you think it's more likely that they walk out on stage with an erection? I doubt it.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | November 26, 2016 7:03 PM |
What you claim are erections look like normal flaccid male anatomy to me
by Anonymous | reply 104 | November 26, 2016 7:07 PM |
If it were flaccid it would be so prominent though.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | November 26, 2016 7:13 PM |

That's Scott Klein R114
He made a few homoerotic videos. There is one about being jailed and stuff like that if I recall well... I think he was married and had children, but his participation in that kind of stuff leaves room for the suspicion about his true sexual orientation. Unfortunately, he died like over a decade ago.

by Anonymous | reply 118 | December 7, 2016 1:59 AM |
Sexy
by Anonymous | reply 121 | December 9, 2016 6:01 PM |
At that point, R122, I'd just whip them off. It would be more distracting taking note of the small size of the posing suit than looking at a naked body. This guy would need to fluff it a little bit just to look proportional to the muscles around it.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | December 11, 2016 5:54 AM |
Steroids shrink their testicles so it isn't flattering wearing a posing suit that will look all saggy either. R124
The irony of it all is that they pursue an ideal of beauty that very much exalts masculinity/manliness, but the counterproductive effect is that in order to look like that they usually lose right where virility takes place: the testicles.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | December 12, 2016 1:35 AM |
Love to read the comments and see how people guys pretend they don't see what they see even though this bodybuilder is making it explicit that the attention should be on his crotch haha.
If you understand Spanish you can get it though.
by Anonymous | reply 126 | December 12, 2016 10:31 PM |
A big misconception is that steroids always or usually shrink the gonads. It happens much less than 1/2 the time. They NEVER cause penis shrinkage. Gynecomastia, however, is VERY common, I'd say well over 50%
by Anonymous | reply 127 | December 12, 2016 10:38 PM |
Testicular shrinkage is very common among competing bodybuilders because the body naturally shuts down testosterone production to keep healthy levels in the body.
Only some bodybuilders somehow manage not to lose size down there.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | December 14, 2016 4:14 PM |
Does anybody think bodybuilding make people exhibitionists to some degree?
I was reading a blog a couple of months ago written by a woman who used to compete but quit and she unveiled some of the reasons why she quit bodybuilding. One of the things she wrote is that people are incredibly egocentric, pretentious and.... that the bodybuilding world is over sexual.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | December 15, 2016 6:17 PM |
Lots of projection and fantasizing going on in this thread. And it's also obvious no one on this thread has ever actually competed on stage in a BB competition, otherwise the posts wouldn't be so moronic.

by Anonymous | reply 144 | December 29, 2016 10:31 PM |
That's never going to happen, not at least with the main organizations and shows.
Bodybuilding is already super homoerotic with trunks on and the fanbase is full of "hetero" men who are overly aware of any gay vibe in bodybuilding. Naked bodybuilders would scare them away because how are they going to justify their interest in watching muscle men all naked on stage and still claim a heterosexual identity?
Bodybuilders may be exhibitionists, but not all of them want to go as far as complete nudity for an audience. Some certainly would love that, but exhibitionism is also a spectruum.
It is sexier if you don't get to see everything.

I'm suspicious of Steve Benthin's sexual orientation because he seems kind of very involved in gay-oriented stuff but there's a video he uploaded himself to YT with his apparently girlfriend applying lotion to his body on the beach and suddenly she rubs his penis like nothing.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | January 3, 2017 5:43 PM |
Well, his porn name is Hans Hoffman and he will take a gig at a Hustla Ball. He could be bisexual or just a heterosexual who gets off on those who admire his body.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | January 3, 2017 10:06 PM |
You think there are heterosexual men who seek the gay gaze? R153
by Anonymous | reply 154 | January 3, 2017 10:22 PM |
Don't know specifically about this guy, R154. But, there are heterosexual men that "get off" knowing that they are desired by gay men and, (according to them), have no interest in being with a man in any sexual way. Who knows? Maybe they haven't met the right man?
by Anonymous | reply 155 | January 3, 2017 10:26 PM |
I don't think they specifically seek the gaze from gay men; they love attention and adoration period. I know men sometimes like getting compliments from other men about their physique not for sexual reasons, but because men can bestow Alpha male status and respect on other dudes in away women cannot. My bodybuilding and fitness modeling straight male friends love getting compliments from me not because of some sexual element, but because I am bestowing upon them Alpha status.
by Anonymous | reply 156 | January 3, 2017 11:14 PM |
Well, that is still a form of sexual gratification. The act of feeling sexually desired arouses them sexually.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | January 4, 2017 1:41 AM |
Not arousal in the sense of getting an erection, but feeling satisfied that the public finds you attractive. Many gay men feel good when women find then attractive
by Anonymous | reply 158 | January 4, 2017 3:55 AM |
Not to the point of seeking jobs where women will be the only or main audience though R158

I wonder how can go about meeting him?
by Anonymous | reply 165 | January 4, 2017 6:42 PM |
Steve Benthin (Hans Hoffmann in gay-oriented videos) seems to always flaunt his muscles in some sort sexualised way to invite the lustful gaze from his audience when he is on a bodybuilding stage. Some of you have already posted videos and gifs of him moving his butt in a suggestive way or wearing relatively revealing posing suits so that a penis line can be observed, etc. There is even a video of him dancing in a gay club, right? I think someone posted something a few comments above...
He pretty much is a very sexual man and isn't afraid of taking that to the stage. It looks like German bodybuilding fans are a bit more relaxed when it comes to their bodybuilders exploiting their bodies sexually for a gay audience...
See the name at the bottom of the pic? That means "for gays" :P

I love how so many Arab men are body builders. Islam encourages women to cover up but allows men to go practically naked.
by Anonymous | reply 174 | January 9, 2017 3:00 PM |
It's infuriating actually
by Anonymous | reply 175 | January 9, 2017 8:20 PM |
I've been wondering that for a long time too because islam forbids men to show the crotch area too. There are people who don't like bodybulding for this but perhaps because bodybuilding is still relatively a small niche it doesn't interest many people.
But if we could speculate and, combined with some observations made by scholars and people who have visited the Middle East there it seems to be that a degree of homoeroticism among men is allowed. Because these are male-dominated societies and bodybuilding is also male-dominated it could be that they need to allow themsleves to experience at least this form of homoerotic interactions as a mild form of release of sexual repression.
I have chatted with some bodybuilders form the ME before although never mentioning homosexuality or homoeroticism explicitly, of course, but with those I have talked my impression is that it doesn't bother them if some men in the audience look at them form a sexual angle, they enjoy competing and people looking at their bodies. There seems to be a more liberal mindset among Middle Eastern bodybuilders that's never stated but it is observable.
by Anonymous | reply 176 | January 10, 2017 1:23 AM |
Like you can see a tiny fraction of the tip.
by Anonymous | reply 177 | January 11, 2017 12:59 AM |
R176, I had the opportunity to assist a French/Lebanese bodybuilder backstage at a competition back in the 70s. I helped him shave his chest, back and legs. This guy walked around naked the entire time he wasn't on stage. Back then, the posing suits were larger and no one removed all of his pubic hair. So this guy had a thick moustache over his lip and another equally dense moustache above his cock. It was glorious. Yes, we stayed in the same hotel room and he let me help him relax after the show. He didn't reciprocate, but I was fine with that.
by Anonymous | reply 178 | January 12, 2017 11:31 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 179 | January 13, 2017 3:03 AM |
As far as I know Lebanese people are supposedly more liberal due to French colonization. Although today they may be more radicalized as a society... R178
This reminds me of an anecdote I once read about an unnamed western bodybuilder who competed in Egypt I think and one of the Middle Eastern bodybuilders invited him over to his hotel room sending one of his men to offer the invitation for him. The western bodybuilder said that because things over there are unpreditable he waited for the time time to leave the hotel unnoticed.

by Anonymous | reply 203 | February 14, 2017 12:40 AM |
I have clips with Mark Erpelding and Chad Ray Martin talking posing suits. There's a moment when they are being photographed and Mark jokingly lifts his tank top that was covering his bulge and it brings somes smiles in
It would be awesome to find the full video since it is for a gay audience so everything gping on is completely on purpose for the gays.
Mark Erpelding has good sex drive because he tends to appear hard in many pics.

Richards' picture in R205 reminds me of a similar situation at my gym a couple of years ago. A competitor at a show in the upcoming weekend came to the gym at closing time so his coaches/friends could give him some final advice. He never wore anything less than a beater and sweat pants when he worked out, and he's a very handsome, well-dressed corporate professional guy. So, when he disrobed to his posing suit, I was shocked (pleasantly so) to see he hadn't yet trimmed/shaved his crotch for the show. His pubes were very dark and thick, just like Richards' here. Normally, I would have been content to just see his bare chest for the first time. This sent me over the moon. His friends took no notice of it, at least they didn't say so. They were all casually talking while he was flexing. He even played around with the waistband; very nonchalant about it. It was one of the few times I spontaneously climaxed without even thinking about it. Thank goodness I was wearing baggy sweatpants myself. I had to leave the gym without changing my clothes. So, thank you, R205, for sharing that picture. I'm still all warm and fuzzy about it.

Rogan, if you're out there, remove your nipple rings when you work out. I say this from personal experience. Sometimes your weight shifts and the bar or dumbbell grazes along your chest. I nearly lost a bud. (Ouch! I can still feel it.)
Not removing your pubes is a very good thing; sexy as hell. It would be even better if you removed the poser, but I'd likely get on my knees and lick the computer screen. Where is virtual reality when you need it?

"Thank u everyone for the get well gifts . I am hurt really bad . I am pushing back my contest. But I plan on getting back in contest shape after my doctors fixs me up. From the car rolling on my head I got some major problem. But I'm still alive and I refuse to roll over and die. I still got the best daughter In the world and great fans. Thank u again for all the support" 4:05am 02/15/2017
But then, here's my thing... He has no savings, insurance, etc. He hits his "fans" up for money
"I'm not going to be able to work for couple weeks. Any help even if it's joining my site . I would really appreciate it. " 6:37am 01/27/2017
And, something must be wrong if he can't even get anyone to pick him up at the hospital:
"Some people don't no who there real family Is until there broken and broke. Laying in a bed alone. With a broken back, neck, and head. Walking out of a hospital in socks and shirtless . 6 hours to get someone to pick me up.Wish I had my wallet so I could of left myself. After this accident I don't think I would piss on 99% of my friends and family if they were burning to death. I can’t imagine R241 could be held in a conventional posing suit. I’m not sure one could be designed to conservatively contain that heft. Not that I wouldn’t mind seeing him pose on a stage and it breaking free from its confines. That would be sexy as all f**k. I don’t think he would hold back. I agree, R269. Why in the world would someone inject themselves with silicon? Porn actor Jon Locsh (or however you spell it) reportedly died from such injections. The silicon entered his blood stream.
by Anonymous | reply 270 | April 19, 2017 2:49 AM |
What does silicon have anything to do with the thread? This is simply about pics of bodybuilders whose genitalia is not properly hidden under their posing suits or too explicilty outlined. That's why it is called scandalous since genitals are supposed to be properly covered.

R288, I worked out three hours a night, six nights a week, for over a decade. I looked pretty good; I didn't have the genes to be up there on stage with some friends; some people are born with it. A couple of years after two rotator cuff surgeries, I worked out while tired one night and asked myself why I was doing it. I dropped the dumbbells I was holding. I haven't picked up a weight since. I'm doing productive things in my newly found spare time. Now I wonder how I had the time to work out so much in the first place.

by Anonymous | reply 294 | May 19, 2017 3:48 AM |
I may like muscles, but I don't see much to admire about it. The activity is very shallow and mainly speaks to people's libidinal senses.
I take bodybuilding as a trivial activity that seduces my sexuality. That's all.

by Anonymous | reply 297 | May 19, 2017 12:30 PM |
W295, I started working out because I was a geeky, nerdy kid no one took seriously. I thought it would help my social life. When I started to see results, a few people commented on it. My self-esteem picked up. Continued work brought more results, and I felt more confident with time. I came out of a shell socially, academically, professionally. It may have happened on its own with age, but I credit my success to confidence I may not have possessed if I hadn't challenged myself to become more fit. It has nothing to do with libido. Truly, I don't give a damn about seducing your sexuality. I think it's rather shallow to assume anything about me and how I feel about you.

This is the question, are we reading too much in this or are bodybuilders effectively looking for sexual responses from their onlookers by wearing these apparently defying posing suits?
by Anonymous | reply 310 | May 25, 2017 3:16 AM |
R310, they want to show every sinew of their muscularity; it has nothing to do with a sexual response. Back in the 1990s, the muscles below the navel started to be scrutinized by judges of bodybuilding contests. Supposedly there are muscles which are normally within a speedo swimsuit which can be optimized. That's why shaving the groin and the minuscule posing suits has become so prominent in the sport. I didn't know a single bodybuilder in the 1960s who trimmed their bushes, the muscle below those larger posing suits wasn't judged. How do I know they didn't trim? They use to pose nude at the gym after closing hours. It was common. Even then, it wasn't sexualized. I was just lucky to be a gay man who appreciated the rare opportunity to see a nude male. If they knew, they didn't let me in on it.
by Anonymous | reply 311 | May 25, 2017 3:53 AM |
All bodybuilding shows have a specific rule regarding the size of posing suits and what they must cover properly. This rule came into existence becausethere's a history of bodybuilders trying to show more than they are expected to show. The same happened when bodybuilders began to elaborate more sexually-charged posing routines which, in turn, also inspired rules to tackle the explicit sexualization of body exhibition by bodybuilders. These rules grant judges the right to disqualify bodybuidlers who transgress these rules.
These rules are on paper, but they are ingored all the time by both bodybuilders and judges. As we see in the pics, many bodybuilders are showing much more than they should to the point their dick can pop out any moment. We are talking about this specific phenomenon. R311
by Anonymous | reply 312 | May 26, 2017 1:46 AM |
If you've been to a bodybuilding show, you know how rowdy than can be. If one of the men on stage ripped off his posing suit during the pose-off and went fully nude; he'd probably get a loud positive reaction from the crowd. I'm surprised someone who is retiring from the sport hasn't done it for the hell of it.
by Anonymous | reply 313 | May 26, 2017 5:17 AM |
You think that hasn't happened?
I mentioned once that there used to be a video of an I believe Italian competition and there was this bodybuilder wearing a blue posing suit and, by the end of his routine he removed his posing suit like a male stripper and was completely naked on stage. He cover his dick with hand and left the stage showing off his naked butt. Of course, all the male crowd was more than excited with that final act ^_<
Unfortunately, the video seems to have been deleted long ago, so there's no way to find it again.
by Anonymous | reply 314 | May 26, 2017 5:53 AM |

These guys look great. It's a lot of work and dedication. But, other than sex and admiration, what's the purpose?
by Anonymous | reply 316 | May 26, 2017 12:30 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 317 | May 28, 2017 10:51 PM |
He ended up fully naked on stage. Obviously he covered his dick with his hand, but he left the stage showing his bare butt. R317
If I had known, I would have tried to save the video, but 10 years ago video downloaders where still sort of experimental applications and not easy to find.
by Anonymous | reply 318 | May 29, 2017 1:04 AM |
R316, aesthetics is an end game unto itself. Men are in the gym everyday and eating strict diets and supplements because they want to be jacked cakes jacked dudes are viewed as more manly, more powerful, get more respect, and look hot. Plus, it ca get you hundreds of thousands of adoring Instagram followers telling you how much of a beast and hottie you are.

by Anonymous | reply 321 | May 29, 2017 2:06 PM |
I think when men start working out to become bodybuilders or fitness models they are mainly thinking about looking hotter and getting laid more and not so much about a serious endeavour that will give them money in a stable way. It's when they grow up that they realise this is not really lucrative unless you get to the top.

Rules to suspend bodybuilders who engage in nudity or any form of pornography on the paper. However...
"Whether a blind eye was turned by officials or whether such activities did not come to their attention, the existence of the rule is a significant reminder of the peculiar susceptibility of bodybuulding to turn into a form of erotic exhibition and of the obvious sensitivity of officials and organisers on this score. It is hard to think of any other sporting activity in which such a rule would be conceivable, let alone necessary."
I think these concerns have to do with activities that can be read more as homosexually-inclined than heterosexually-inclined. You know. They even have a category where male-female couples compete and they tend to be sexually-charged.

by Anonymous | reply 358 | July 6, 2017 5:59 PM |
Steroids can fuck up a man's sex drive and other times they can make them furiously horny. They need to be used wisely and not abuse them.
I have noticed that many relationships between bodybuilder couples, especially, heterosexual couples are heavily centered around sex. Bodybuilder women pefrer bodybuilder men because of the sex which seems to be much better and more frequent and, as long as sex is good and frequent their relationships work out.

by Anonymous | reply 375 | August 12, 2017 11:19 PM |
Dave Lash proves you don't have to modify your pubes to be a world-class bodybuilder. A conservative posing suit would hide it all and still outline all of the muscles which are judged. The tiny posing suits show how insignificant a cock can be, the way it is positioned in the suit is not indicative of its size. You know a well-hung bodybuilder when you see him. His posing suit cannot constrain it, no matter the suit's size.
by Anonymous | reply 376 | August 13, 2017 6:54 AM |
A couple of days ago I read a book about the bodybuilding subculture in Sweden inspired by an older famous book that is a reference for many studies regarding bodybuilding and sexuality and, when asking why male bodybuilders who identify as heterosexual are so fascinated with the muscular male body and why bodybuilding is so homoerotic their conclusions, coupled with answers from bodybuilders, showed that the divising line between heterosexuality and homosexuality tends to disappear.
The book speaks more in detail but to make it short, through their investigation and the answers collected, self-indetified heterosexual bodybuilders cannot scape the sensuality of the male body, it fascinates them, it turns them on. The book says that, female bodybuilder or male bodybuilder, the gender doesn't matter; all those muscular bodies are sensual and a turn-on for them.
This probably explains in part the tiny posing posing suits, the racy posing routines and the heavy embracing of homoeroticism, "G4P", etc. Bodybuilding is like a world apart where sexuality seems to works differently from what society expects of or demands from men.

And I think whether or not they wear skimpy posing suits everybody who follows bodybuilding sees sex in bodybuilders and is fascinated with that implied message that muscles evoke. Whether or not they are actual sex machines in real life that is basically what they are crowned for; the one who looks more like the ultimate alpha male.
You are very unlikely to have a self-indentified heterosexual man reveal his true feelings when gawking at bodybuilders, they all feel the anxious need to declare heterosexuality in fear of being labled as gay. But it would be dihonest to deny there is not any erotically-stimulating factor in being so fascinated with MALE bodybuilders.

I don't think pubic hair looks nice when you're wearing a tiny revealing posing suit, but more than once some bbers have done it even for competitions. I can only think it stimulates them sexually, they like the reactions, etc...
by Anonymous | reply 405 | September 25, 2017 3:08 PM |

R413, R414 and R415 demonstrate why posing suits are becoming superfluous. You'd have to be blind to not conclude there is a penis under there and you have a good idea of what it is shaped like. The penis is the focus of attention and the muscles take second stage. What if all the men were nude and shaven; the penises would be taken for granted, just like the belly buttons, the elbows and the ankles.
I'm not advocating for change; but I've reached a conclusion the posing suits are now a distraction. "How small can it get?" Rather than "Check out the definition of his outer pecs."

by Anonymous | reply 420 | October 24, 2017 2:26 AM |
The posing suit is the only veil that separates bodybuilding from and explicitly form of sexual performance. R417
The very performance full of (homo)erotically-charged connotations and sometimes, motivations, already rubs the fibers of (homo)erotic performance. You remove the posing suit and bodybuildign could no longer be a family event.
I have no doubts many bodybuilders would love to pose naked; this activity strokes the ego of bodybuilders, especially in how attractive they think of themsleves, but social norms combined with the need to make bodybuilding marketable must restrict those passions that certainly are common among bodybuilders.
by Anonymous | reply 421 | October 24, 2017 2:46 AM |
There's a business called JimmyZ's which organizes shows at nightclubs where bodybuilders wear tiny posing suits, athletic supporters and other "lingerie"-like items and pose on a stage for tipping admirers. The tippers can get touchy-feely. I've only seen one show when one or more bodybuilders appeared fully-naked on stage. These shows seem to draw big crowds.
I wonder if a respectfully staged contest could be organized where no one under the age of 18 would be admitted. The bodybuilders pose on a stage in exactly the same way as at other contests, except they compete nude. Could the proceeds be large enough for the competitors to benefit financially from their participation. If professional bodybuilders are free to perform sexual acts for paid websites and their participation is clearly not an obstacle to succeeding on the professional bodybuilding circuits, (and I won't share the names I could easily spout off,) how could a non-sexually presented bodybuilding show be considered inappropriate? Honestly, if I was still competing, I'd consider participating. Of course, I wish I was so open-minded before my old age prevented me from being rationally taken seriously. I posed for Fox Studios when I was younger; fear prevented me from authorizing the photos for publication. I wish I was conscious then of how I might regret that decision in my advanced age. I looked damn good; I should have been proud to display my body.

Bodybuilding could not make it big if it took the nudity road. The idea is that despite all the sexual/erotic messages behind the very exhibition of their bodies the events can still be for a massive crowd.
Just imagine the Middle East, they could not compete and there are countries that want to apply islamic views to ban bodybuilding for being to revealing and sort of homosexual already with a posing suit on
If you want to see bodybuilders naked performing there will always be instances for that. In the end, if bodybuilders are exhibitionists above the rest they will always find the means to do it so you have both options, the clothed one and the nude one.
by Anonymous | reply 425 | October 27, 2017 11:34 PM |
I remembered this older thread R422, after reading your comment. Jim French (R.I.P.) knew how to photograph bodybuilders, and he had lots of men willing to pose for him. If ever a line-up of these guys, in full competition pose-down, would be on a stage, I think many of us would line up for tickets. I think I'd set up a tent overnight.
You may be right about the nudity, R425 . The Olympics weren't held for a thousand years because the participants were nude and all oiled up. Such overt masculinity.
by Anonymous | reply 426 | October 28, 2017 1:58 AM |
Well, those Grecian times were literally ruled by homosexual love so it was seen as normal for men to be attracted to men and express their fascination with the nude male physique. There wasn't so much taboo about the nude body. In today's world we have a Judeochristian mentality and the nude body is seen as a sinful act that inspires lusftul thoughts, what the bible calls passions of the flesh or sensuality and sensuality is a sin. Homoeroticism was normal in ancient Greece. Homoeroticism is sinful today. R426
I, for one, prefer bodybuilding as is, with the posing suit. It leaves something to the imagination. In the end. the penis has no relevance in the competition.
by Anonymous | reply 427 | October 28, 2017 7:03 AM |
Of course, nudity would destroy the legitimacy and mainstream support for bodybuilding. It would make it a tiny freaky subculture.
by Anonymous | reply 428 | October 28, 2017 1:34 PM |
It's already sort of a freaky subculture anyway.
As a collective, modern bodybuilding is afraid of male homosexuality despite the evident homoerotic fascination with muscular men. Removing the posing suit from competitions would simply confirm in the eyes of society the suspicions of homosexual appeal, something many men who follow bodybuilding are overly concerned to dismiss.
Besides, if you have a small dick and shrunk testicles, you may not feel like you want to expose them all bare on a stage...

Just because you bodybuilder doesn’t mean you want to be a pornographic exhibitionist
by Anonymous | reply 430 | October 28, 2017 8:39 PM |
Bodybuilding is a world of double standards. I think that if women really liked male bodybuilding and they were the vast majority of the audience the idea of nudity would not be so frowned upon after all. As long as it reaffirms an idea of heterosexuality it wouldn't be considered a moral issue...
It's like with bodybuilders who escort, male bodybuidlers who escort for gay men are criticised and judged harshly; in contrast, many female bodybuilders also escort but they are rarely criticised or judged. It's the exact same act, but the latter caters to heterosexual men so bias occurs.

by Anonymous | reply 432 | October 29, 2017 1:58 AM |
Best case scenario: Rent a suite at a hotel near a bodybuilding competition. Line up a couple of men to pose nude privately for you. (Reassure them you don't want to touch them; you just want them to pose.) Invite a few other men who also enjoy "worshiping muscle" and divide all costs. If you've built a rapport with anyone in the bodybuilding community who knows you, trusts you and knows you to be gay, put out a couple of feelers with them to build connections. I think you'll be surprised how many people will show interest. I've known about bodybuilders who make a little extra money after the show or while they're working at a fitness expo (if there is one.)
I once put an ad on Craigslist to recruit a bodybuilder for muscle worship while I attended the Arnold Classic. I asked to see a picture before I hired anyone. The first person to respond, get this..., was my workout partner of ten years. I didn't respond back and I didn't tell him I was the one he responded to. I've never seen him naked (and I sure would like to), and I never anticipated he was the type who would pose naked. It's my private secret which makes me a little hard every time I think about it. Who knew...
by Anonymous | reply 434 | October 29, 2017 7:06 AM |
Can muscle admiration really be non-sexual? Taking into account the level of fascination with bodybuilders that characterises bodybuilding fans.
I think there is a lot of gray area when it comes to the admiration bodybuilders receive from fans. You remove the posing suit and that gray area would be completely unprotected for those (if not most of them) who are fascinated with male bodybuilders and don't want to be thought of as outside the heterosexual sphere...
by Anonymous | reply 435 | October 31, 2017 5:46 PM |
Take the opportunity to visit a nude beach if you get a chance, R435. Everyone around you has the same basic equipment, with lots of variety. You see it all, yet you're not really looking. I dropped my drawers a couple of years ago and never looked back.
by Anonymous | reply 436 | October 31, 2017 7:21 PM |
Hmm, I think there is a distinction between nude beaches and bodybuilding that makes all the difference. R436
The premise behind nude beaches is loving your nude body regardless of your physical appearance and dust off the shame and guilt the nude body has been stigmatised with.As such you can see people with different body types on the beach. Nude beaches don't exalt nudity for its potential sex appeal but to naturalise nudity regardless of body type.
Bodybuilding, on the other hand, is about a specific ideal of male beauty, a beauty standrad that exalts muscularity and, muscularity is a secondary sex trait in males. Developed muscles increase sexual attractiveness, they potentially inform an eventual sex partner of your higher libido and performance in sex and; in the case of heterosexuals, they potentially tell a woman you may be a better partner for procreation. So muscles are filled with sexual connotationS by nature, they are supposed to eroticise people attracted to men and the male body. That's basically what bodybuilding does, exalting muscularity as the ideal form males should aspire to.
Although nude beaches expose the whole body people don't gather together based on specific standard of attractivenes; bodybulding, on the other hand, does gather people together based on attractiveness by exalting a specific standard of male beauty.

R438, I think it's funny we've had a conversation about how a posing suit is needed to deflect attention to the penis and makes it less sexual. Then I see this man, sitting the way he is in the opening seconds, and I can't help thinking this man knows exactly what he is doing, namely, "Let me frame my cock in such a way you can't help but look at it." Then he stands up and he poses his hands so they are ever so slightly pulling the suit down and toward his penis. Not to mention, the folds in the front of the suit pad the area. I may be getting senile, but I think this man wants me to think about his cock. And, I am.

Because no one is going to approach him to ask if his genitals are genuinely that big. It would feel awkward getting so intimate with a competitor about his manhood.
It is obvious that be it saline solution or wearing the tiniest posing suit there is undeniably an element of sexual arousal in pushing the boundaries on a bodybuilding stage.

by Anonymous | reply 482 | December 30, 2017 9:48 AM |
I'm not surprised. Today many bodybuilders are wearing the tinest posing suits and they barely cover the goods; eventually something like this was going to happen.
Just imagine if you were a bodybuilder, it would be obvious that sexual attrativeness would be a great motivation for you to build your body and compete. Don't you think there would be a high possibility that you might feel excited about being more revealing or provocative? Saline solution is extreme, but how about wearing a revealing posing suit?
In the context of bodybuilding where things are inherenlty oversexual it's likely that one can end up being provocative to some extent.

Bodybuilders want you to look at them. It doesn't matter where you look. Over the years, I have teased some of the friendlier bodybuilders at my gym about the size of their baskets. Three times I have been rewarded when they pulled the waistbands out of their workout shorts to let me get a direct view of their anatomy. Trust me, they get off on it.
by Anonymous | reply 522 | May 24, 2018 1:55 AM |

Almost? R525. Darwinism is based on the survival of the strong. The strong try to appeal to the sexual interest of their mate, i.e. the ritual of the peacock and other animals. So yes, I think a sexual component of exhibiting their bodies is valid, maybe not in all cases, but in some.

Well, this is one of the reasons that separate bodybuilding from regular sports and why bodybuilding will never be of massive comsumption even in the most liberal and progressive country ever; it appeals to people's sexual inclinations: There is no athletic confrontation and no story being told; it is simply exhibiting ideally sexually appealing bodies that will be judged by their beauty. So obviously, bodybuilding is sexualized competition.

I have a small collection of pic and vids of bodybuilders having usually semi-erect dicks on stage. What is intersting about this is that bodybuilding is still very homophobic yet these men can't help getting hard on a stage. What causes the erections? Perhaps homophobia is socially demanded in the bodybuilding circle, but in the intimacy of their minds bodybuilders are not really disgusted with men looking at them as sex objects.

by Anonymous | reply 557 | July 17, 2018 4:51 PM |
"The IFBB is still very strict about its competition guidelines and indeed it is remarkable to note how competitions forbid any use of clothing, prop or accessory in bodybuilders' free-posing routines as they may suggest eroticism or strip-tease. Rules were exceptionally strict about posing trunks, outlawing the use of thongs or g-strings which had appeared in earlier competitions. This, of course, is reaction against the legacy of Physique Pictorrial and a very definite attempt to excise any homoeroticism from the activity. After all, if a bodybuilding competition is literally a display of semi-nude men, whose bodies are paraded for the delight of a predominantly male audience, then the question of homoeroticism is hard to overlook".
