I assume you are talking about one of the many photos of Grace Kelly & Natalie Wood at the Golden Globes, but unfortunately I don't know exactly which photo from that evening you saw. A bit of context first. The winner of that really big statue was dead. Let that sink in for a second. James Dean had recently died, way too young, so his co-star accepted on his behalf. No one looked "like a bitch". They were sad but told to smile. Grace was almost completely blind without her glasses, which she almost never wore, which caused (and sadly, still seems to cause) people to assume she was distant or haughty. She wasn't. She was extremely shy, and had just made four films back to back in different countries. After wrapping the unfortunate "Green Fire", she asked Alfred Hitchcock, with whom she had already made two films (and was probably the only woman in Hollywood who actually liked Hitch), if she could have one day off before beginning filming on "To Catch a Thief" in France. He said no, and she showed up on time. If you ever watch that film again, you might also think differently about her acting skill. She was probably on suspension from MGM for turning down yet another "Green Fire"-esque film. So she actually looked rested & happy that night. That's all off the top of my head, I could probably provide more proof that no one was being anything but decent that night, but at least please try to remember the gravity of that moment. Grace called Hollywood "a town without pity". Gosh, can't imagine why.

I don't know how to edit here, so here is the shorter version. I found the photo, and you've got to be kidding. That award was supposed to go to James Dean, but he had recently DIED (go look at the photos of his Porsche, it barely looked like a car after that awful crash) & everyone was still stunned and sad. His co-star, Natalie Wood, accepted the award on his behalf. There is nothing bitchy about the photo. They're smiling! The OP claims to "love Grace, but..." so no, you don't love her. You couldn't even be bothered to find out what event this was, or why Grace and Natalie are in about a million photos from that night. If anything, the photos show two consummate professionals, told to smile while holding a dead man's prize.

Poor Grace. She had a weirdly rough life for someone born into such privilege as she was. Like Joe Kennedy, her father was obsessed with having his children shine in everything they did, and was very harsh to them. She grew up to be extremely promiscuous, and she had affairs with just about every leading man she starred with--but apparently she took little joy from it. she accepted Prince Rainier's marriage proposal to please her father, and then she discovered she was in a terrible marriage where everyone looked down upon her and her husband was never faithful, and she became an alcoholic. And then Caroline's marital problems gave her huge heartbreak too.

She was given everything, and yet she was so miserable for most of her life.

Grace's career was so short, 1952 - 1956. Without the Hitchcock films- would anyone even remember her?

From the video clip, Grace seems there and genuine whereas Natalie does not. Maybe it was the shock of Dean's death. R14, she became Princess Grace Grimaldi of Monaco. I remember her car accident and death when I was a boy. Stupid rescuers took her to the wrong hospital; she probably would've survived if she'd been taken to the nearby hospital in Nice, France.

Grace's mother wrote a scathing article about her which probably broke her heart. I've never heard anything about Grace being an alcoholic, but Judy Garland allegedly said she'd be a nymphomaniac if somebody calmed her down. I wouldn't have fucked that old child abuser Bing Crosby for a million dollars. Some people just have to piss on every plant in the garden.

Regarding Natalie Wood, she divorced her husband Robert Wagner because she discovered him in bed with a man, the remarried him. He was seen having sex with Chris Walken, who allegedly has a very large penis. Wagner knows something about Wood's death he won't admit.
