My Disturbing Michael Jackson Experience

I met Michael Jackson just once back in 1993. It was only months before he was first accused of sexually molesting then 13-year-old Jordy Chandler.

Coincidentally, I was living in Encino, California in 1993. The Jackson family lived not far from me. I would see Joe Jackson at the supermarket or Randy at the car wash. But I never expected to meet Michael. About once a week I would go over the hill to Golden Apple Comics on Melrose. It was owned by a friend, the late Bill Liebowitz, and I also had a bunch of friends who worked there. They told me Michael was a big customer. He would go there with a group of kids and buy them whatever they wanted. He would often spend thousands on those days.

I asked one of my friends if Michael bought any comics for himself. He said sure. So I said what kind of books does he read? He said “Anything with kids in them.” I remember thinking: “Brrr!” at the time. Sure, that could be innocent and all, but there were all those stories even then of Michael having kids with him all the time. Which is kind of odd for a grown man, but Michael Jackson was never known for being normal.

But I did detect a certain reluctant vibe when discussing Michael with my friends at the store. They didn’t say why, but they felt he was weird. And this is from people who worked at a store on Melrose in L.A.

So one day I came in the store and one of my friends told me Jackson was in the store. And there he was, over by the comics rack. He had his arm around someone like he was on a date. That someone was Jordy Chandler.

Jackson was whispering in Jordy’s ear and they were acting totally like people on a date. It was not the kind of behavior a couple of straight guys do together. Then they went back in the store in the employee area and disappeared. They were gone for a half hour. I stuck around and talked to my friends, just shooting the breeze. I assumed Jackson left by the back door to avoid people. But Bill the owner asked me if I wanted to meet Michael Jackson, and I said, sure.

Jackson reappeared, and left the store. I went out there with Bill and he introduced me. Jordy had detached from Michael and went to the black SUV. I didn’t shake hands with Jackson, I only got to exchange pleasantries. But I noticed something, when I tried to look him in the eyes, he had this very evasive…almost crazed look. Like someone who had just committed a crime and didn’t want anyone to see them. It was weird.

I’ve met a lot of famous celebs and have never seen them as anything other than people. People who work in the entertainment industry, which I was doing at the time myself. So I’ve been very laid back in these encounters. So I know it was nothing I did that made him look at me like that. I thought, “Man, is he paranoid or what? Maybe he’s on something.”

After they took off, I went back in the store to buy some comics and I asked one of my friends what they were doing in the back room for so long. He said Michael and Jordy were in the bathroom for a half hour. Yeah. I said, huh? He said that’s not unusual for him.

Now, I don’t know what they did in there, but it was a small one-person bathroom. And I can only think of a couple reasons two people would go into a small bathroom together. One of the nice reasons is they were helping the other with their costumes. He wasn’t wearing anything that out of the ordinary. So that leaves the other two reasons, since we can assume Jordy is potty trained at 13. Sex or drugs.

When the story about the molestation broke a few months later, that pretty much made up my mind which reason it was.

Everyone I know, who worked with Michael had great things to say about him, so I suppose he wasn’t a bad person. But if you have followed his story closely, he was no saint either. He actively worked to insure his brothers would never succeed. He reneged on deals constantly and didn’t pay people he owed their money. There will be a lot of stories coming out about him and his defenders will work hard to try to canonize him. But the truth is a lot more complex.

Madonna, we know you spend most of your free time on Datalounge! Give it up!

by Anonymousreply 1September 7, 2016 12:09 PM

I tried to post the link to this, but i can't, i tried but it says error!

by Anonymousreply 2September 7, 2016 12:09 PM

OP where did you find this story. It seems very old.

by Anonymousreply 3September 7, 2016 12:10 PM

R3 It was wrote by someone called by James Hudnall but i can't post the link of it here. Don't know why?!

by Anonymousreply 4September 7, 2016 12:15 PM

It's a Breitbart article, published in June 2009, written by James Hudnall. Apparently, Breitbart articles won't post on this website. You'll have to Google it.

by Anonymousreply 5September 7, 2016 12:18 PM

So you decided to pass it off as your own, and not mention the fact of when it was written or who wrote it?

by Anonymousreply 6September 7, 2016 12:19 PM

R6 Didn't you read my comment (R2) that i tried to post the link but couldn't and there was an error!

by Anonymousreply 7September 7, 2016 12:29 PM

So, OP, what do you want us to say about this article? Tell us your thoughts, and get the ball rolling.

by Anonymousreply 8September 7, 2016 12:41 PM

"It was owned by a friend, the late Bill Liebowitz"

by Anonymousreply 9September 7, 2016 12:47 PM

This thread would have been perfect if OP had used the title "A Strange, True Story to Amuse You"

by Anonymousreply 10September 7, 2016 12:48 PM

We have no idea if the story is true. I'm not saying it doesn't sound true but we can't know if it IS true. Do I think Michael was probably a child molester?I lean toward the probability that he was. I met Michael in NYC in the late 80's once, and he is odd. and I guess I could make up a bunch of stuff about our encounter, OP, but the fact is, when I spoke to him, he was polite and well informed. We both found ourselves looking at photos of old time musicians, and I just asked him if he knew who any of them were and he did, was happy to talk about them. There were no little kids around, just him and his PA and a driver.

by Anonymousreply 11September 7, 2016 12:59 PM

If he knew what he was doing was so wrong, why would he chose to do it in a public restroom?

by Anonymousreply 12September 7, 2016 1:05 PM

That's what I was thinking, r12. I suppose it could be part of the thrill.

by Anonymousreply 13September 7, 2016 1:13 PM

So the writer of the article admits that his friends were all accessories to a crime. They all knew he was bringing kids into the bathroom to molest them. This story is ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 14September 7, 2016 1:13 PM

[quote]why would he chose to do it in a public restroom?

Why would he give 'Jesus Juice' to kids on planes in front of their parents? Why did he snuggle up on Gavin Arvezo on TV and declare they share a bed? Questions, questions. Because he was a drug addict and compulsive sex offender, that's why.

by Anonymousreply 15September 7, 2016 1:22 PM

You lost us at Breitbart.

by Anonymousreply 16September 7, 2016 1:23 PM

I bet Jordy will have a Michael Dearest book coming out as soon as the hush money is gone.

Can't wait to read it.

by Anonymousreply 17September 7, 2016 1:28 PM

A drug addict? Can you be any more dramatic? The dude couldn't sleep & had a crooked doctor administer him something to help him with that. Hardly an "addiction".

by Anonymousreply 18September 7, 2016 1:32 PM

It's true! I was in the next stall, and they pooped on my shoes!

by Anonymousreply 19September 7, 2016 1:42 PM

R18 MJ was a drug addict

He was high as kite in this footage and other ones

by Anonymousreply 20September 7, 2016 1:50 PM

He seemed more like someone on the verge of a nervous breakdown than on drugs in that clip.

by Anonymousreply 21September 7, 2016 1:56 PM

R14, this account, if true, is not ridiculous at all. The writer stated his comic store friends said Jackson often spent thousands of dollars during his kiddie outings to their store. A lot of people will look the other way for that kind of dough and a major celebrity who frequents their establishment.

I can't believe some (a lot) of people are still on the fence about MJ's criminal pedo activities.

by Anonymousreply 22September 7, 2016 2:12 PM

OP did try to alert thread readers quickly that the link wouldn't post. I don't think OP meant to mislead his post was a first person account.

by Anonymousreply 23September 7, 2016 2:15 PM

Thank you for using paragraphs

Yes, dear.

This is my favorite detail. He might as well have added, "And then he mouthed to himself, 'I'm guilty as sin and everyone knows it!' and then walked on."

by Anonymousreply 30September 7, 2016 3:22 PM

Jackson was guilty as sin. It's shocking that people still defend that nasty old pedophile.

by Anonymousreply 31September 7, 2016 3:34 PM

I don't think people here are defending that nasty old pedophile, it's just that the old nasty pedophile has been dead for years now and we already have a few threads about him filled with copied paragraphs of various lengths and missing sources.

by Anonymousreply 32September 7, 2016 6:16 PM

Agreed, R16. However, it amazes me that there are still people out there that believe MJ was innocent! What more do you need, footage of him actually performing the acts?! I have a friend whose step-father molested her for about 5 years under the same roof as her mother and her mother never suspected - that absolutely boggles my mind. Naiveté and denial are huge problems in our society. We all need to be honest about how awful humanity can be, without inciting Fox News levels of paranoia.

by Anonymousreply 33September 7, 2016 8:19 PM

I believe he's guilty, but I don't believe he did it in a public bathroom. The man had alarms installed on his master bedroom in his own home, for God's sake.

by Anonymousreply 34September 7, 2016 9:05 PM

I've come across this comic book store story before. The discussion about it in one forum seemed to indicate that it was probably Brett Barnes, not Jordy who was with MJ at the time. The time period fits Brett, not Jordy.

by Anonymousreply 35September 7, 2016 9:19 PM

Those comic book store guys weren't going to say anything. MJ bought them off with his mega-purchases.

And I bet half of comic book types are pedophilically inclined anyway.

by Anonymousreply 36September 8, 2016 6:59 PM

R22, I'm not on the fence about his pedophilia. The story just sounds like a lie and if it isn't a lie the comic book people are just as sick. "Dough" is enough to allow your bathroom to be used for child rape?

by Anonymousreply 37September 8, 2016 8:21 PM

R37 Are you aware that there were countless people who witnessed Jacko' weird inappropriate (not rape ) and didn't say anything and covered up for him. The answer is MONEY. Rape or Molestation doesn't happen in front of others, but inappropriate weird behavior can happen.

your experience with Jacko was a good one, but this writer experience wasn't. It happens

by Anonymousreply 38September 8, 2016 8:29 PM

I meant "weird inappropriate behavior"

by Anonymousreply 39September 8, 2016 8:30 PM

The comic book people said this happened all the time in their bathroom. It just doesn't ring true, sorry.

by Anonymousreply 40September 8, 2016 8:44 PM

I remember my father staying at Cameron house hotel in Scotland and telling me after that Michael Jackson was staying there also at the same time and that he had seen a young boy with him. He asked the doorman if they were sharing a room and the doorman said yes. And that he had simply turned up with this prepubescent boy. My father it should be said, is the least gossipy bloke around and was simply stating the fact in the retelling.

by Anonymousreply 41September 8, 2016 11:32 PM

How dare any of you smear the name of the greatest white female singer that ever lived?

by Anonymousreply 42September 8, 2016 11:44 PM

R41 Was this in the early 90s?!

by Anonymousreply 43September 9, 2016 2:13 PM
by Anonymousreply 44March 29, 2019 1:37 PM

-2/10 OP. This is why MJ is innocent.

by Anonymousreply 45March 29, 2019 1:46 PM

Michael was the only talented one of the brothers. Berry Gordy only wanted to sign Michael, but Joe said they were a package deal. So Berry signed the boys but replaced them with studio musicians and studio singers- they never did anything but dance behind Michael, fake playing instruments and lip sync.

Michael was saddled with for years when he wanted to be solo and act in movies, etc. He finally had the courage to break free from all of them around 1979.

However, his mother begged and pleaded for him to go on tour with his bros. so they could make some money and he reluctantly agreed.

Jermaine had some solo success riding on Michael's fame- and Janet had a huge career- but Michael was the musical genius.

by Anonymousreply 46March 29, 2019 1:51 PM

I believe the OP 100%. MJ was a sociopathic pedo

by Anonymousreply 47March 29, 2019 1:52 PM

[quote]It was wrote by someone called by James Hudnall

My disturbing grammar experience.
