Pastor = con artist.

by Anonymousreply 3July 21, 2016 9:05 PM

Well he certainly has hired some hot staff.

If he in competition with Resonate and Perry Noble's Ex-Church?

I'm guessing "Embracing Limitation" means no public gays!

They have a church where I live. It's big with people my age (Young Adult) but he has a lot of controversy surrounding him and the. He lives in a million dollar mansion and the church gets accused of faking baptisms. People talk about him like a God, it's really weird.

Oh god, he is one of those megachurch "Pastors". Those are such a scam! They water down the religious message so it is just some silly feel good service and their goal is just to pack in an absurd number of members. They are such a money making scheme. I see he has gotten very rich off his "church" that has 20k people in regular attendance. Built a 2 million dollar home outside of Charlotte. Don't forget it is a Church, so it is a tax-free business he has there!

[quote] The Church has refused to answer questions about Furtick's salary, his tax-free housing allowance, how much he makes from books and speaking fees

Not that I am a Christian, but these "Pastors" who are all about getting as rich as they can are completely against the message Jesus supposedly taught. Caught believe how many idiots buy into it and worship the ground they walk on.

R7 I think it's a "me too" mentality that if they follow him or Joel Osteen, or Joyce whatsherface or Creflo Dollar Jr. that they themselves will also be "blessed" with wealth. They're not offended by their displays of wealth and spending because the parishioners want the same.

It seems a very random person to try to promote here (some scammy pretend-Jesus freak?). What brought this on OP?

by Anonymousreply 9July 21, 2016 9:24 PM

I've seen him on TV before. I have absolutely no interest in his message, and I've heard that he's got a cult like following. I just think attractive pastors are fascinating.

These kinds of people always have an enforcer. Find the enforcer and you find out what this is all about. It won't be one of the leaders pictured.

by Anonymousreply 11July 21, 2016 9:43 PM

Not my type.

by Anonymousreply 12March 28, 2020 4:31 AM

Well I believe he made on to that social media account that supposedly calls out these "pastors" for their taste in expensive shoes.
