Supermodel Coco Rocha is a Jehovah's Witness yet attends AMFAR?

I know she’s done events for conservation of the planet and green causes fairly recently. When I was 21 I canvassed for the Sierra Club in Portland, and came across a JW family on my route. I can’t really recall her exact words, but she basically told me that Jehovah will take care of it and that they don’t involve themselves in causes like that, being door to door pioneers and devoting their time to it was all they commit to. Coco is super tight with Behati Prinsloo who is married to Adam Levine, as they started out modeling together. She’s got her own modeling camp...I would think this would be in direct conflict. Or does she get a pass because she’s wealthy from her church. Curious myself after watching that special on them with Leah Remini tonight.

Isn't Coco JW via her parents? Meaning, they signed her up and she grew up JW. Does it really mean she is still JW?

She was raised in the family but baptized as an adult recently.

I’ve always admired her. She seems so sweet, and she’s got a funny sense of humor. I have to respect a woman who got to the top of her game by not compromising her beliefs.

Oh I remember her in that show with Naomi Campbell. She was awesome. Naomi per usual, was a cunt!

I wonder about her myself. I know that the “flock” in the “church” she belongs to, HEAVILY discourages close friendships with people who are not followers of the faith. But she’s close friends with many high profile people, and she seems to be very close friends with Christian Siriano. Maybe she just takes the “meat” that serves her well and doesn’t choke on the bones, like Kristen Chenoweth said her Grandma told her, when she asked if her gay friend was going to hell. Maybe Coco and her husband give a lot of money to the church, so they look the other way? Who knows, it’s very bizarre.
