Fine choice R1. I would drink his bathwater. What about Ewan? Is he too old? Too expensive?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 2, 2016 11:21 PM |
They want to pull in a younger audience so they're going for Robert Pattinson.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 2, 2016 11:22 PM |
UGH! No, R3 - I hope not.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 2, 2016 11:24 PM |
Can Prince Harry act?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 3, 2016 12:50 AM |
I nominate Miguel Angel Silvestre, for a Latino-flavored Bond.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 3, 2016 1:17 AM |
Ideally Fassbender. But he'd never do it. Maybe Sam Claflin. He's appropriately roguish but still believable.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 3, 2016 1:28 AM |
I'm buying what R6 is selling.
In fact, I'd like to invest heavily in your company.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 3, 2016 1:50 AM |
How's Gerard Butler looking these days?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 3, 2016 2:00 AM |
For the next one, do something different and just pay Craig for his image/voice and do an animated version.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 6, 2016 10:02 PM |
I could go for Sam, R8. Or Matthew Goode. Or that hairy guy who was in the Agatha Christie thing. Or Tom Lucifer.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 6, 2016 11:14 PM |
We're arguing for Aidan Turner in the Theo James Thread
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 6, 2016 11:16 PM |
Sam Claflin is a good choice, R8.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 6, 2016 11:20 PM |
Wow, Claflin is smelling cooking and pursing his lips all over Google images.
Yikes.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 6, 2016 11:22 PM |
Aidan Turner: that's the hairy guy. I've never seen him act. Does he have an accent?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 6, 2016 11:26 PM |
Yes, it's hot, R16. Check out the Youtube vid someone posted at the bottom of the other thread.
He's serving Top Realness in a big way.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 6, 2016 11:27 PM |
Thanks, R17. Just as soon as I find the bottom of the other thread, I'll check out his top realness.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 6, 2016 11:29 PM |
If you don't, R18, turn in your gay card.
Here's the video clip (from And Then There Were None)

by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 6, 2016 11:39 PM |
Thank you, R19. A still from that scene that first drew my attention Turnerward. This video, though, convinces me he'd make a terrific James Bond.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 6, 2016 11:39 PM |
Damn, great find, R21!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 6, 2016 11:41 PM |
Adrian Turner is now my #1 Bond candidate, R22.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 6, 2016 11:46 PM |
Thanks r21 I'm convinced.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 6, 2016 11:47 PM |
R23 It's Aidan
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 6, 2016 11:48 PM |
21, you made us believers.
You should start a cult.
Take my money!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 6, 2016 11:48 PM |
Aidan
Aidan
Aidan
I'll practice it from now until he Bonds things up. I'll use it in a sentence this minute.
Do you think they of Unpreferred Pronouns fame would have had their pronouns preferred if they'd looked like Aidan Turner?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 6, 2016 11:52 PM |
I just read this while looking at the Poldark article. I would prefer "dickular" next season.
[quote]BBC confirm Poldark WILL return for second series and Aidan Turner is to reprise titular role
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 6, 2016 11:54 PM |
I love his hairy chest, and that snarl. Yes GAWD hunty!
God, I love a guy that's a prickish asshole from a good school that can lay serious pipe.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 6, 2016 11:55 PM |
I know just where he can lay his serious pipe.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 6, 2016 11:57 PM |
Tell us where r31 ?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 6, 2016 11:58 PM |
Is it appropriate to present hole now, or after he's officially crowned?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 6, 2016 11:59 PM |
r32 Let's just say I'd ride him like Will Horton going up and down on Paul Narita's bat.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 7, 2016 12:00 AM |
Ummmm, can I have sloppy seconds after he comes 'round again, R34?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 7, 2016 12:01 AM |
How could they consider anyone else, Emily?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 7, 2016 12:01 AM |
Does anyone know when the new Bond is supposed to start filming?
I.e., can Aidan bring his Pleasure Pelt to both projects?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 7, 2016 12:04 AM |
How about the guy with the womanly ass? Where does he stand with you?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 7, 2016 12:04 AM |
^Meaning can he do Poldark and Bond, or are we getting our hopes up too much?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 7, 2016 12:05 AM |
I assume you mean Fat Cavill, R38.
He's at the very bottom of my list (no pun intended). He just doesn't bring it.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 7, 2016 12:05 AM |
I just discovered Poldark is available on Amazon Prime.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 7, 2016 12:05 AM |
Henry Cavill did not have to self-destruct the way he did.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 7, 2016 12:06 AM |
You hungry ladies need to investigate the original British Being Human with Aidan Turner as a conflicted and sexy vampire.
His hair is awful throughout his run on the show, but he is pretty spectacular.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 7, 2016 12:13 AM |
Well I'm a man, but definitely hungry. Is it suitable viewing for me?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 7, 2016 12:13 AM |
Aidan's eyebrows should have supporting credits if he gets it.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 7, 2016 12:16 AM |
r45, it is open to all.
The show is actually pretty good. DL once dedicated plenty of space to werewolf/gay Russell Tovey, but Aidan Turner is the source of sex in the story.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 7, 2016 12:16 AM |
Who is Aidan Turner, the man tipped to be the next 007?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 7, 2016 12:27 AM |
I'm so glad Idris didn't get the role.
He's too good for it.
Oh, and completely wrong for it for other reasons - such as temperament.

Daniel Craig has reportedly been offered $150 million to play Bond in two more films.
Let's take a wild guess who's going to play Bond in next two films.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 5, 2016 3:27 PM |
Why has this discussion been going on for such a long time (not just here, but in the world in general)? Pick someone, already, Bond producers.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 5, 2016 3:29 PM |
Daniel still looks great from certain angles. Recent pic from the set of Logan Lucky.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 5, 2016 3:31 PM |
Definitely not Cavill. He's so dull and boring and doesn't have the charisma Bond needs.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 5, 2016 3:34 PM |
Cavill should have settled for being pretty.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 5, 2016 3:45 PM |
[quote]Daniel Craig has reportedly been offered $150 million to play Bond in two more films.
I know that the Bond films are not the most artistically satisfying of movies, but Craig could have quit after Skyfall and been remembered as the best Bond next to Connery (while everyone secretly thought he actually was the best). I just don't want him to turn into Roger Moore.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 5, 2016 3:51 PM |
R56, I'm all for Daniel doing two more Bonds. They have to keep the films tight, though. Spectre was disappointing in many ways, mostly because of the screenplay being all over the place. I have however liked the atmosphere of all Craig Bonds.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 5, 2016 3:56 PM |
Craig is also 48 years old. I don't want Bond to turn into Liam Neeson in Taken. I'm not saying he doesn't make my dick hard, because he does, but Moore was, I think, in his mid-to-late 50s when he finally hung it up, and Craig would be close to that after two more movies. Granted 50-something looks a lot different after 30 years.
But Skyfall is honestly my favorite Bond film, and I just don't want to tarnish my love of it with a guy who doesn't know when to quit, no matter how fat the paycheck.
Granted, Tom Hiddleston is some bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 5, 2016 4:03 PM |
Roger Moore may have been old when he did A View To A Kill, but it was still a great film.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 5, 2016 4:10 PM |
My tastes may be weird. I'm not a fan of View to a Kill. I always thought he peaked at The Spy Who Loved Me.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 5, 2016 4:17 PM |
I like the Moore films best. I enjoyed the camp
by Anonymous | reply 61 | February 17, 2020 5:38 AM |
You people have no understanding of Bond whatsoever. He was no millennial underwear model.
When I wrote the first one in 1953, I wanted Bond to be an extremely dull, uninteresting man to whom things happened; I wanted him to be a blunt instrument ... when I was casting around for a name for my protagonist I thought by God, [James Bond] is the dullest name I ever heard. — Ian Fleming
In Casino Royale, Vesper Lynd remarks, "Bond reminds me rather of Hoagy Carmichael, but there is something cold and ruthless." Likewise, in Moonraker, Special Branch Officer Gala Brand thinks that Bond is "certainly good-looking ... Rather like Hoagy Carmichael in a way. That black hair falling down over the right eyebrow. Much the same bones. But there was something a bit cruel in the mouth, and the eyes were cold."
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 17, 2020 5:54 AM |
Tom Hardy.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | February 17, 2020 6:00 AM |
I'm surprised they haven't done the James Bond origin story, Bond as a university student recruited by MI6. That's the only way they'll get a younger audience into the franchise.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | February 17, 2020 6:15 AM |
Why is it taking them so damn long to pick someone?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 17, 2020 6:22 AM |
Idris Elba and all the others are 4 years older since this thread was opened (as are we). Fresh meat to the market will be produced. Time for a newbie.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | February 17, 2020 6:27 AM |
The bookies have James Norton and Richard Madden high on their list. Norton would be my pick.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | February 17, 2020 6:50 AM |
Zac Effron
by Anonymous | reply 68 | February 17, 2020 6:54 AM |
James Bond is British & white.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | February 17, 2020 7:04 AM |
I think Bond needs to be a trans person of color. We will not be silenced. We are here and occupying space. Etc etc.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | February 17, 2020 7:58 AM |
Joe Jonas
