Without Valerie she would be nothing, but Kavner refuses to let Harper go on the Simpsons, though the show runners wanted her. It's so bad they wanted to spoof Mary Tyler Moore, but Kavner refused to have anything to do with Valerie Harper and of course the rest of the Mary Tyler Moore cast, with the exception of Cloris Leachman and Betty White, the fame whores, backed up their former co-star.
Why Does Julie Kavner Hate Valerie Harper?

Julie Kavner is very jealous of Valerie Harper. Plain and simple. She was jealous of Valerie during the time being on Rhoda in the 1970's.

Kavner is still jealous of Valerie Harper while she's dying from terminal cancer? That's world-class bitchery.

She would have nothing to be jealous about. She has had a very high paying job on The Simpson's for 27 years. She has to be loaded. Valerie hasn't really done much in a long time.

Wow, if that's true, Kavner is one world-class kunt.

It's bad enough being a Rhoda in a world full of Marys. Imagine being the equivalent of a Rhoda to Rhoda herself.

Where in the world did you get that nonsense? First, Julie doesn't have that power and they still talk.

OP what is your source on all that?

Harper HAS been on The Simpsons. She talks about working with Kavner on The Simpsons in this article.

Kavner is a world class cunt. Long story, but a friend's father worked on "Rhoda". Everyone hated Kavner. Notice no one ever thought about spinning Brenda off into her own show? The producers couldn't stand her. Valerie might have like her because Valerie likes everyone and she might have been decent to her. I do think she has a personality disorder, which is why she is such a recluse.

Here they are looking chummy about 13 years after the cancellation of Rhoda.
OP is a lying piece of shit.

Kavner might be on the spectrum. She is very very shy off stage and in public.

On set Valerie always called Kavner "fatty fat fat" and the whole cast and crew laughed except Kavner of course.

I'm sure it's for the same reason Melissa Gilbert hates Melissa Sue Anderson.

I doubt they are anything but friendly. There's a great tv interview with them and Nancy Walker and they all seem exceptionally warm and close. Nancy mentions that neither she nor Valerie is Jewish, which surprises people. I can't recall whose show it was?

Julie didn't lie about dying though.

What is Valerie’s ethnicity?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 13, 2018 3:18 PM |
Valerie is primarily of Italian ancestry, but she's had a lot of close Jewish friends from the earliest days of her career when she was a dancer, including Arlene Golonka and Ron Rifkin's wife Iva.
Valerie was one of the earliest Jewish-identified characters on network TV, and it was initially controversial. So much so, that CBS wanted the Rhoda character written out of the MTM series after the pilot episode.
Valerie said she struggled for a long time with the disappointment of meeting fans who assumed that she (Valerie) was Jewish too. She finally learned to tell them that Rhoda was Jewish; she and Rhoda were part of each other, and how thrilled she was to travel that path with Rhoda.
