I have to admit I really like Jon Snow, but Kit Harington is rather Meh. In high school, we annually hosted a national Shakespeare company for eight performances of two plays, a comedy and a tragedy. (4+4) I was infatuated with the actor who played Hamlet. Seriously. I thought he was so hot I couldn't stop thinking about him. I was 15. So on the weekend I went with my parents to see it again. I was happily waiting after the play, while they visited with some friends. The actors came out without their make up and costumes. Alas, Hamlet had really bad acne, was extremely thin, and up close his eyes didn't quite line up, and his jaw line was terrible. In short he was less than zero. I think Kit Harington is like my Hamlet. He photographs well. He looks great in costume. But up close in real life, he is dull as shit and very ordinary looking. Plus I really do not like short men, and he is really short. He seems like a very nice fellow, but if I met him at a party I would probably not spend any time around him. There's no there, there.

Well all I can say is He's a pretty good actor and he needs to grab as many acting jobs as he can while he is so popular, because this popularity is not going to last. It's his character people are caught up with not him. Once they realize that, they will be all "Kit Who?" Unlike Nicolaj Coster Waldau. He's not only hot as Jaime, but he is also hot in real life, so he will be fine. It helps he's also a decent actor. The thing about Kit is that in Season 1 of Game of Thrones, he more than held his own when it came to looks charisma and acting as Jon Snow against Alfie Allen and the guy who played Robb Stark, and both of them are fine actors.

There were a couple blind items written about Kit being supposedly gay (funny that you mention Nikolaj R22. There was a blind about a married actor and his young male costar on a super popular show who were having an affair and a lot of people guessed that it was Kit and Nikolaj). Other than that, I just find it weird that he kicked up such a stink for years about being in the spotlight and wanting his private life to stay private and refused to address any dating rumors, and now all of a sudden he's on red carpets flaunting his relationship and eager to tell us all how he and Rose fell in love. He knows that the show is ending and he's trying to up his game. He's a short little shit with below average talent. He already had those roles... they were all bombs. Both he and Emilia Clarke have been bombing all of their non-GOT projects. Gwendolyn Christie has had the most success with Star Wars.

All I can say is when I first started watching the Game of Thrones, I checked him out in early interviews and he was painfully awkward. Terrible. He was shy and self conscious and tried really hard to be amusing and interesting and he FAILED. Ugh. He is more at ease now and seems to have accepted his fame and success. He's also found his sense of humor. The skit he did with Seth Myers as Jon Snow/Dinner guest was hilarious. I think he was just young & scared of all the notoriety that goes with being the break out star on a hit show. He won an award for his stage work in The War Horse a while ago. I saw Kit in a contemporary spy thriller last year, and he was very good. He does action well. It's too bad he is not physically imposing, because he could do a Bourne type character with complete ease.

The show only has two more seasons and they won't be full seasons. Season 7 will have seven episodes and Season 8 will have six. Season 7 will film in the second half of this year, and Season 8 probably next Spring. He could be finished filming the entire series in 18 months. So yeah, the show is winding down for these actors.
