Unisex & fabulous on anyone who loves to be comfy & the 'come with' friend

Do they all have a checkerboard pattern? If so, pink and red might be gay. Orange would definitely be gay.

|by Anonymous||reply 5||05/06/2016|
Vans are a classic skate shoes brand OP.
If they are "gay" shoes then it will come as some surprise to all the straight males who wear them!
|by Anonymous||reply 6||05/06/2016|
You forgot the correct answer: Vivian Vans
|by Anonymous||reply 7||05/06/2016|
Just look what one person answer was:
"I hate to say it to you, but vans are very gay, wanna know why? A long time ago there was 3 brands of shoes called converse, vans, and ugg. these brands made shoes for men. Later girls started wearing them. Girls would wear the bright colored vans such as pink, mint green, green, red, and blue, later in the 2000s girls started wearing any color of vans that came to their mind like gray, black, Ect. Girls also started to wear converse and uggs. Us straight men now look gay no matter what kind of shoes we wear all thanks to girls who can't even stick to clothes that were made for them. And No I'm not gay. I can't wear my uggs, vans, or converse anymore thanks to girls. Swag fag idiots Cx"
|by Anonymous||reply 8||05/06/2016|
[quote]in the 2000s girls started wearing any color of vans that came to their mind like gray, black, Ect
I'll bet you were the only girl who wrote "Ect."

What does this mean?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||05/06/2016|
What does it matter if your shoes are gay? They still have rights in most of the USA

Stop me if you've heard this one before:
Two pairs of vans walk into a bakery...
|by Anonymous||reply 15||05/06/2016|
Black high-top Vans certainly aren't.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||05/06/2016|
i love vans, i'm 40 and i know i shouldn't wear them but they are adorable
|by Anonymous||reply 17||05/06/2016|
These ones might be a little bit gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||05/06/2016|
Nothing gay about these ones; they proclaim your love for all things TACO loud and clear!
|by Anonymous||reply 19||05/06/2016|
Dude, get a pedicure, already!
|by Anonymous||reply 20||05/06/2016|
I love those watermelon shoes, they are so ridiculous.
They're even louder than neon Crocs.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||05/09/2016|
Vans are not in my program/major.

R22 is an idiot.
The OP is clearly quoting some illiterate fuckheaded thread on Yahoo Answers, dumbfuck.
And John may be fucking annoying as hell, but at least he knows how to compose proper sentences with correct spelling!
|by Anonymous||reply 24||05/10/2016|
Vans are fucking awesome - our straight and gay friends wear them, both male and female, along with docs, as they're comfy for gigs, festivals. Most punks and metal heads live in them. I do corporate during the week, the rest of the time it's cons, vans, docs, but we say NO to uggs.

I'm a guy and I've always wanted a pair of checkered Vans slip-on shoes. However, it seems like lately a lot of girls are wearing them at school at stuff. I think it would be fine to wear them but I'm afraid of the possibility of jokes, pointing, and general abuse. Can i buy myself a pair or will i get called "girly"?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||06/21/2016|
Why am I wondering if r7 started this thread just so he could offer that response? Either way, well played.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||06/21/2016|
Not bad shoes but I avoid them, just like I avoid top-siders, because of their serious lack of arch support.

|by Anonymous||reply 37||10/29/2017|
VANS erases gay! VANS are trying to take over! Keep VANS out of women's restrooms; resist the VANS agenda!
|by Anonymous||reply 38||10/29/2017|
I heard Vans are total Trannie, not gay. No, they are not in style unless ur T.

Vans are now VERY "basic bitch."
|by Anonymous||reply 43||11/13/2017|
They have never been gay on my feet. Of course, they have never been on my feet.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||11/13/2017|
They are for young people who haven't fucked their feet up yet.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||11/13/2017|
|by Anonymous||reply 46||11/13/2017|

OP........Spend that fifty bucks on grammar lessons.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||02/15/2018|
A few years ago, weary of English-as-a-third-language personals ads, a friend and I composed a Craigslist post that was horny, but vague, nearly incoherent and devoid of mechanics frills like punctuation and spacing, sort of like the OP here, but worse.
It was meant for our own amusement and that of other literate people reading CL. However, the replies were shocking. The hottest young, dumb, stupid guys replied to that post, and a lot of them.
My friend exclaimed, "Somebody has to fuck these guys!" So we split up the replies and we both got laid. I got a guy in a band (too many drugs) and a hot Mexican that I fucked for the next year and a half. My friend, a bottom, found 3 young guys to fuck him from that ad. He got chlamydia from one of them. So it turns out using proper grammar could be a protective factor for STDs.

Op, I teach at a high school and 80% of the kids are wearing vans.
The other 20% are other gym style shoes/Sneakers, boots, converse or strappy sandles.
80% of our youth are not gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||03/16/2018|
They're stupid looking shoes
|by Anonymous||reply 72||03/16/2018|

|by Anonymous||reply 82||04/10/2018|
Yes, they are back in style. I'm seeing a lot of kids wearing them these days.

|by Anonymous||reply 91||09/02/2018|
Vans? When did I wear Vans?
|by Anonymous||reply 92||09/02/2018|
Vans are gay now? Tell that to all the skate boys.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||09/02/2018|
I don't know who shoes can be gay, but Vans are always in style. I can't imagine still caring about being "In style." What's the point?
|by Anonymous||reply 94||09/02/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 95||09/02/2018|
They just seem like 80s relics
|by Anonymous||reply 96||09/02/2018|

Vans are not "gay," I've never heard that. Most of the bros I see wearing them look anything but.
|by Anonymous||reply 98||09/06/2018|
If YOU like them, BUY them! Do you really CARE whether they are "gay" or not? Fuck 'em! It's a part of being original. Unless you're concerned about what prissy bitches think of them, and YOU!

Last time I thought about Vans was 16 years ago, when Nikki Sixx won an embarrassing two-year million-dollar lawsuit against them for image theft. They weren't really happening kicks even back then (and neither was Motley Crue).
[quote] Sixx said he had no choice but to sue, and not just for his own image. "Mostly you find that people just let it go," Sixx said. "With me and the guys in Motley Crue, we've been standing up for our rights and hopefully we're standing up for other people's rights too."
[quote] Sixx sued a skateboarding magazine and the Vans shoe company for allegedly using his image in an ad without his permission. Sixx, whose real name is Franklin Feranna, said in the lawsuit filed Tuesday that the defendants used photographs of him with pro skater Tony Trujillo at a San Francisco ceremony organized by Thrasher magazine and sponsored by Vans. Sixx said he agreed to present Trujillo with a "Skater of the Year" award at the ceremony on Dec. 7, 2002, because he knew Trujillo was a Motley Crue fan. The musician said he was surprised to see photos taken at the ceremony in an ad for Trujillo's signature Vans shoes. The photo also showed a marquee with the words "Thrasher Magazine's Skater of the Year Tony Trujillo." The lawsuit said the caption above one of the photos, "Live Fast, Die Young," was "somewhat reminiscent of the title of Motley Crue's first album, 'Too Fast For Love."' It said Sixx had also been informed that Vans and Thrasher products bearing his image were displayed at skateparks. Vans attorney Craig Gosselin said the company had not seen the lawsuit, but planned to fight it. "It will be our contention that he gave us permission to use his likeness in our ad," Gosselin said. Thrasher publisher Ed Riggins said he did not believe the magazine should be named in the lawsuit because no one from Thrasher had asked that the publication's name be included in the ad.
So to answer OP's questions: yes to the first, and no to the second.

DL fave in Vans shoes.

I own a pair of high top Vans with a skull or skeletal pattern. I worked in the X-Ray department of University of Washington Medical Center, so they fit right in. Except the casual understatement of the shoes clashed with the FUCKERY, THY NAME IS MANAGEMENT theme so rampant it was. But we won't address that infected canker now, if it's all right by you. ;`]
