Aussie Aboriginals, Melanesians, and "negrito" aboriginals are all "black." They're actually black Asians. They share more DNA with East Asians (and even more with Southeast Asians) and some Indians than Sub-Saharan Africans.

Hoda Kotb is of Egyptian ancestry. Therefore, not white.

Omar Sharif was all Egyptian, and white.

There are perfectly White Egyptians and perfectly Black Egyptians. Hoda Kotb is neither, leaning toward Black.

"Black" is not a race. Black is a color. The term has been used in more modern times to lump multiple races into one group.

For Americnsa being black does not automatically mean you're African American.
