The host of Meet The Press combs his hair forward to cover his bald front. Are we supposed to think he just has short bangs? It looks so absurd. Are his minions afraid to say something to him?
Does Chuck Todd think we don't notice his comb forward bald head?

He is cute in that daddy at the softball game way .
by Anonymous | reply 1 | March 6, 2016 4:29 PM |
Why would we even look at him, let alone notice him
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 6, 2016 4:32 PM |
I noticed this and thought, why does he do that?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 6, 2016 4:36 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 6, 2016 4:42 PM |
It does look ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 6, 2016 4:50 PM |
I'm waiting for him to appear in a big fluffy toupee.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 6, 2016 5:15 PM |
What is he suppose to do OP? he is losing his hair but still has enough to give an illusion of hair. Nothing he can do short of shaving it would look great, but that would be a huge step I suppose. I am fortunate enough to still have a full head of hair in my 60's and not a lot of grey but I have a ton of sympathy for anyone losing their hair. Especially guys in their 20's or 30's.

The goatee was repulsive.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 6, 2016 8:27 PM |
I hadn't seen him in a long time prior to a few days ago and I laughed out loud when I saw him and those 3 strands of hair he brushed forward. Poor guy.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 6, 2016 8:27 PM |
It IS kind of distracting. Nevertheless, Chuckie Todd remains THE most adorkable man in all of broadcasting.

Pardon my french but Chuck Todd ass is probably so tight, you can put a lump of coal in there and easily squeeze out a diamond.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 7, 2016 5:59 AM |
The Hot-Turkish-waiter-goatee-look has always been distracting for me. The scraggy hair outline dripping down his chin looks pointless and odd. He just looks like an odd bod news guy from a regional station that just got promoted to HQ but no one bothered to give him a HQ dress code tutorial.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 7, 2016 7:12 AM |
He was never supposed to be an in front of the camera sort of guy. Think he was senior political adviser or stats or something like that. The hair thing is funny, I keep staring at it and staring at it to see how its changed over time. He used to show the driveways on each side, then it went forward. At one point it looked like maybe started a transplant. Now he has the forward and trimmed look.

I am afraid that he does not wipe very well at all, leaving many many dingleberries

I used to love MTP when it was hosted by Tim Russert. Andrea Mitchell should have gotten that job. Chuck Todd sort of annoys me, but I'm not sure why.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 28, 2019 3:58 PM |
Toad annoys just about everyone, from all political lanes. NBC thinks this is his strength.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 28, 2019 4:11 PM |
He's really not "far from ugly" though. He's pretty damn close to ugly, even with the major makeover work he gets for being on television.
This is flattering. This is the best he ever looks!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 28, 2019 4:19 PM |
What does he care? So long as he has Meet the Press he gets at least $1M paycheck, power, recognition and invites to all the beltway & NY galas. I don't understand the people who watch MtP and complain about Chuck Todd. Bitch, there's only way to get rid of Chuck Todd and that's to stop watching MtP. Remember David Gregory? He became so chatty with MtP guests that he tanked the ratings and they fired his ass. So long as everyone hate-watches Todd, he's considered "someone who creates buzz" at NBC.
And I don't know why everyone is so nostalgic for Tim Russert. He was a toady to the GOP as well, not some intellectual who called out their lies and spin.

Interesting, in an article about David Gregory's fall from MtP grace
In 2013, the New York Post had reported that Joe Scarborough was in discussions with NBC about taking over the Sunday edition of Today, which airs before Meet the Press in some markets. The move would have put Scarborough and Gregory in direct competition for guests and provided the MSNBC host with a springboard to take over Gregory’s show. NBC declined to have Scarborough comment; in a July tweet, he denied having angled for the job.
Chuck Todd’s Meet the Press ambitions made for tension. “It was obvious that Chuck knew a lot more about politics than David did, and so that was uncomfortable,” says a person familiar with their relationship. “And then on Chuck’s end, David had the job he wanted, so that’s uncomfortable.”
Earlier this year (2014), Sures, Todd’s agent, approached the NBC brass in New York, according to a former senior NBC executive, and demanded that Todd be handed Gregory’s job.
“They were very aggressive with the new NBC News leadership,” the former executive says, “and told them that if Chuck didn’t get Meet the Press soon, he was going to leave.” Sures denies this, and NBC declined to make Todd available.

Agreed. When he died, his past was immediately rewritten.
And I don't watch MtP anymore, not since Chuck Todd. I know most people who watched it before still do, but I've cut out all of this bullshit both-sides entertainment product that passes as news nowadays.
Suddenly, stories about the palace intrigue at Meet the Press began appearing with suspicious frequency. By March 2014, only two months into Turness’s turnaround effort, rumors that Gregory was on the chopping block had gained so much traction that he asked NBC to respond and quell them.
“I cannot be more declarative about David—[he] is our guy, is going to be our guy, and we are really happy with him,” Turness’s top lieutenant told the Huffington Post.
But after that, the drums only beat louder. On April 20, the Washington Post reported that the Meet the Press research conducted back in 2013 to beef up Gregory’s personal narrative had included “commissioning a psychological consultant to interview [Gregory’s] friends and even his wife.”

But after that, the drums only beat louder. On April 20, the Washington Post reported that the Meet the Press research conducted back in 2013 to beef up Gregory’s personal narrative had included “commissioning a psychological consultant to interview [Gregory’s] friends and even his wife.”
Once again, Gregory demanded that NBC executives make a show of support, and Turness obliged. In a memo quickly leaked to media writers, she called the press reports “vindictive, personal and above all—untrue” and reiterated her “support for the show and for David, now and into the future, as we work together to evolve the format.”
[bold] Gregory was becoming a spectacle, and it was clear to him, friends say, that this was no accident—someone was planting these stories in the press to discredit him. The question was who. [/bold]
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 28, 2019 5:04 PM |
HATE HATE HATE David Gregory. Chuckie is way better. The only advantage to having Joe Scarborough do MTP, would have been Mika would be sent back to local news - in Peoria.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 28, 2019 5:08 PM |
R49 evil Chuck Toad, clearly planting the stories.
Turness looked at candidates inside and outside the network and considered choices both conventional and unconventional. [bold] She even met with Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central’s wildly successful Daily Show, who could have brought with him legions of young viewers and embodied the transformation Turness was hired to engineer. “I’m sure part of them was thinking, ‘Why don’t we just make it a variety show?’ ” Stewart told Rolling Stone.[/bold]
Turness's secret didn’t last long. Page Six at the New York Post soon declared: “David Gregory’s time on Meet the Press is almost up.”
This time, when Gregory asked NBC to stick up for him, he didn’t get the response he expected. Instead, the network told his agent the bad news: He was out. Now it just needed to figure out how much the separation was going to cost.
After several days of negotiations, Gregory and NBC still couldn’t agree on their final terms. That’s when Gregory found himself driving through the New Hampshire mountains, suffering one final embarrassment as host of Meet the Press.
As news of his ouster blasted around the internet, Gregory’s phone lit up. Matt Lauer, Secretary of State John Kerry, and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon called to say how sorry they were, according to a source close to Gregory. And that’s not all. The source says the corporation’s most senior executives—including NBC Universal CEO Steve Burke and Comcast CEO Brian Roberts—called, one by one, to express their regret for how his departure was handled.

David Gregory isn't bad, he's just not MtP material. He was one of the few journos who called out Bush Jr at press conferences, and that question he asked Greenwald that got everyone upset was, in retrospect, prescient.
It's pretty telling that someone who MILDLY called out the status quo and the big narrative got canned, while some toadie faux liberal piece of shit like Chuck Todd took over.
I had a great run hosting Meet the Press,” Gregory said in an e-mail to Washingtonian. [bold] His $4-million severance agreement prevents him from discussing the split [./bold] “I loved doing it and I am proud of the work we did.”
Only one year after arriving at NBC with plans to overhaul the news division, Turness tossed her ambitions aside and made the safest choice possible.[bold] In the end, she installed Chuck Todd, the ultimate incarnation of Washington’s talking-head establishment.
On Sunday, September 7, a slimmed-down and newly tanned Todd interviewed President Obama for his first show as moderator. The program attracted its largest audience in six months, earning NBC a hard-fought ratings win. The following week, Meet the Press fell back to third place. It hasn’t returned to the top since. Bless you r35! I despise Chuck Todd.
r32, he's not a journalist. He's a political hack who kisses the asses of the corporate heads of NBC and an agent of chaos who's secretly wants to get 45 reelected. His focus on the "optics" of Mueller's testimony more so than the substance should tell you everything about him. Chuck Todd is also extremely unattractive; a total barf face. Seriously, look at him when his mouth is closed. He looks like he's holding back vomit. Look at his Twitter feed. NO ONE likes this fool. I would be so happy if the MTP ratings dropped and he got fired before the 2020 election year. We do not need his presence AT ALL.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | July 28, 2019 6:28 PM |
Fire Chuck Todd. He's horrible and has ruined Meet The Press. The show sucks beyond words with Todd as the moderator.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | July 28, 2019 6:44 PM |
The on,y reason I can think of that MtP's ratings are up is because of Trump.
Trump's twittorrhea is so incessant that people wait til Sunday to try and figure out what happened last week and tune in to MtP.
Did anyone even watch MtP during the No Drama Obama administration? Life outside of Faux Noise was pretty ordinary.
I'd like to know how college dropout Chuck Todd got to be the head of NBC's political news division, which he is now and was prior to getting the MtP job. Sounds Jeffrey Epstein-ish to me.

r69, BITCH PLEASE! This isn't about anti-semitism. Chuck Todd is a fuck wad, pure and simple. He deserves every bit of dragging he gets.
Normally I consider MSNBC's Joy Reid my favorite MSNBC host but she really disappointed me yesterday. She did a segment on that idiotic commentary that some news people did on Mueller that focus more on "optics" than the substance of what he was saying. She showed clips from Fox News and CNN but the one most guilty of that bullshit was from her own station and that's Chuck Todd. No clip of him talking that optics shit and that wasn't fair. I know both her and Chuck work together for NBC/MSNBC but she could've been more fair and balanced with that segment.
