I'm in Europe and they're ALWAYS at the mall, primping and preening in their knock-offs of the latest trends and plucked/shaped eyebrows. Part of me wonders if it's because the men strongly favor each other, so they search for ways to stand out. A good number our genuinely attractive, but the extreme vanity is off-putting. Why does their culture put such an emphasis on materialism? Go to Christiano Ronaldo's boyfriend's website and he comes across as a typical Muslim male (Badr Hari...can't remember the URL).

What is quite shocking in muslims countries is that the women are all covered and the males are all parading around proudly showing off their secondary sexual characteristics....to each other. Tight shirts and pants, lots of skin, primped hair, bulging crotch.

When people unable to get property, they often adorn themselves to display wealth and status. That's why lots of immigrant groups do it. It's also why people who live in American public housing like gold chains, expensive sneakers, gold teeth, long fake finger nails ect. You see this with a lot of nomadic tribes.

lol. I live in NJ. OP also describes the Hindi guys. They are always over-dressed. It is to create the illusion that they have a high paying job and are successful. I worked with one guy who made $70K a year. He spent a huge amount on clothes. He worried about paying his rent because he really couldn't afford the lease on a BMW M3. His mother told him that he had to appear more successful than his cousin. Meanwhile he was ready to have a breakdown from the stress due to family expectations.

Clothes are a relatively inexpensive status symbol and these guys dress like what they think successful American (or European) men dress like, only they never get it right.

The tight clothing is less about gay (sorry!) than it is about the fact that white women generally have zero interest in them and sort of view them as eunuchs, so they subconsciously emphasize their sexuality to convey they are sexual beings.

Muslim men are vain because they have been told since birth that the sun, moon and stars revolve around them, which is re-enforced by the behaviour of their society and culture toward males.

In tribal cultures, the wealth of the family/clan is usually displayed on the women via whatever adornments are considered status and precious, such as gold, silver, precious stones, silk, etc. The more the women adorn themselves, the higher the status and most iimportantly, respect for the family/clan.
