Looks like Cybex has come up with a machine I'd definitely try, but there are a couple of bodyweight exercises that are pretty effective (R1's for example). You can also lay on your back on the floor and duplicate what the Cybex device does.

I use it at least once a week. What gets better results for me is the 8 minute buns workout found on YouTube. I do that once or twice a week with ankle weights and it blasts my butt and really pumps it up. I like using the machine at the gym for the heavy day, and the 8'min buns is the light day. I have a pretty good bubble butt and am 45 years old.

R290, those are all good exercises, but that guy is going to have so many problems because of the impact of that concrete or cement surface on his feet, shins, knees, and legs in general. Do all those exercises, except do them on softer, flat surfaces.
Of course I use the butt machine at the gym. I want to work all parts of my body. I don't do squats much anymore, because of the impact on my knees. Guys who avoid the butt machine usually do so, because they think it makes them look "gay." They're usually straight guys who skip leg day. And they're often 30+
I see younger guys , gay and straight, using it more and more.
I'm a butt man. Nothing beats magnificently muscular hindquarters on a man to me. And a good, well-developed butt also helps you avoid back problems.

Before Covid shut the gyms down, I couldn't believe the number of straight, young men I saw at my gym using this machine. From my own experience, a great many straight men either skip leg day or do the usual squats, then work their hamstrings and quads on leg lift or leg push machines.
But I'm glad to see more guys pay attention overall to their legs and butt. Now I witness them doing a variety of exercises and weight-work to build, shape, and tone their legs and butts.
They even use the abductor and adductor machines!
I'm over 50, and I don't go heavy anymore, but all those exercises and machines help to preserve knees that have taken a beating from years of running.

R1 photo is all you need. You don't need a machine. Those are really for your hamstrings though your glutes will get a benefit. As will your abs if you have good form. I did them every night for a long time during a weight loss routine and without realizing it a small but noticeable pain in my right knee disappeared within about 6 weeks.
You need to work your quads and hamstrings for healthy knees. Those are the muscles that help the knees. So while they will make your legs look pretty, they are also practical exercises.

I would integrate glute training into leg day because it’s a lower body exercise. You need to rest your muscles at least 48 if not 72 hours between workouts, so twice a week maximum for legs.

Almost all gay men seem to zero in on 'bubble butts.' I don't know why any gay guy who lifts weights wouldn't use a machine like that to get the kind of butt they prize. Because of embarrassment? That is homophobia and it's pretty sad that that would be a deterrent.
My gym has a similar but different machine. I have used it but I don't use it regularly just because I don't particularly like the feeling of that position with my face hanging down. It makes me light headed. I do squats using a smith machine because it's more comfortable for me.
I wish men were more embarrassed about the scream-grunting and slamming down of weights so many do in the gym. Over the past couple of weeks, an older man in my DC gym has been lifting weights and then letting them fall to the ground, and one day it seemed to create a viral movement with other Cro Magnons doing the same. It was an aural assault and everyone else was looking around like "someone do something about these assholes."
THAT is something people need to be ashamed of doing, not using a butt machine.
Guys build up their biceps, their shoulders and their legs to be lumpy and they want a big lumpy butt. If they want it but won't work for it because they think it's 'too gay' to use the machine they want to use, that is rather sad.

I think I am my gym’s butt machine.
Kickbacks do work the glutes but they’re not the most optimal machine. Only hits one part and it might be a bit harder to progressively overload. RDLs and hip thrusts work better. Oh and squats but that goes without saying.

Yes I do and yes they do. Never even considered it to be embarrassing in any way, that's new to me. And I got an ass that gets a lot of compliments now, so I'm pretty happy all up.
