Potsie was an insatiable bottom.

Apparently the OP did not "get" the true meaning of the Fonz,

despite all those restroom meetings, black leather, fag-hag chickies and need for a mother's love.

Jenny Piccolo was trans and played by the young Eddie Redmayne.

It's quite obvious Joanie was a lesbian. Her devotion to Pinky Tuscadero should have clued you in.

And the oldest son Chuck's gay antics were so disgraceful that Howard had him sent away, never to be seen again.

We didn't have homosexuals in the '50s.

Originally the show was going to be called Happy Endings, but Ron Howard stomped his foot and said, "There's nobody in this cast who I would even go to first base with."

Winkler interview:

The hosts then ask the actor how the Fonz would feel about gay people. "I think he feels the same way I do," Winkler answers. "I don't think about a person as gay, I think about them as a human being."

The hosts then suggest that due to the Fonz's leather jacket and ultramasculine demeanor, he must have a huge following in the bear community, a term that had to be explained to Winkler. "I have wonderful gay fans," he says. "Wonderful straight fans. And some very confused fans!"

Winkler also comes out as a Lady Gaga fan, especially after seeing her on So You Think You Can Dance. "I really want her autograph," he says. "I respect her. I thought she was incredibly insightful, incredibly supportive, incredibly warm, and had the biggest shoes I'd ever seen in my entire life."

Oh yes, Henry Winkler, one of Yale Drama School's most insightful actors.

Scott Baio threatened to punch them all in the face.

This entire series was taped near Valley Forge and the weather conditions were brutal. Washington and his men were freezing and starving to death , so be too hard on the cast of Happy Days. Granted a few in the cast too young to vote for our first president, but many of the more mature actors did. They were all proud to be part of both sitcom and american history. Too few recognize The Fonz in the Willard painting of 1776,

I think the OP means real life homosexuals. The cast is remarkably straight.

Howard, Marion, Richie, Joanie, Fonzie, Potsie, Ralph, Chachi, Al, Arnold, and even the later characters were all played by straight actors with no homosexual rumours surrounding them. Were any of the primary characters played by suspected homosexuals?

Henry Winkler is one of the nicest guys in the business.

Uh, Leather Tuscadaro, anyone?

by Anonymousreply 13January 15, 2016 12:05 AM

Fonzie's nephew Spike was a homosexual in that he owned a flower shop.

r11

That's why BOTH of the actors who portrayed Chuck were written out.

by Anonymousreply 15February 14, 2018 3:43 PM

Why do you think Richie and Joni's older brother Chuck disappeared after season one? He was caught in the college locker room with another guy and subsequently disowned by the Cunningham family. Incredibly scandalous.
