How long was Steve Rubell's cock?

I remember going to a Christmas in Hawaii themed party there , back room , a drunk high Calvin Klein trying to have a conversation with me, Rubell was a quaalude mess, Bianca , Warhol were all there doing coke , Chris Atkins was there oblivious to all the drugs, it was heaven!

I remember all of the mirrors as you walked in. You'll never see that again, just imitations.

Give me a virtual memory tour, please, R3. I was a decade too young.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 6, 2016 7:32 PM |
Just did haters .. Why can't you believe truth ? Sorry for your pitiful, uneventful past ....Don't hate me for it.

Who remembers seeing Marisa Berenson at the Studio 54?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 12, 2016 4:16 PM |
They wouldn't let Cher in. They knew trash when they saw it.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 12, 2016 4:20 PM |
Any run-ins with Halston, anyone?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 12, 2016 4:24 PM |
They wouldn't let Cher in?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 12, 2016 5:16 PM |
Cher liked going to flippers in LA.

I stepped on Liza twice. She was on the floor and had black panties with lacey edges. It looked like something from CABARET.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 12, 2016 5:24 PM |
Like, she was laying on the floor, R11?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 12, 2016 5:28 PM |
I was a charter member, but I never went until the memberships were canceled. I never didn't get in, but the minute I did, I wanted to be somewhere else. I hated disco and I hated cocaine. I saw Bianca, Liza, and Marisa. Most things I went to were NY Film Society related.
Disco wasn't my thing. I found it easier to pick guys up on the street (UWS).

If Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager had not been busted for tax evasion. Could Studio 54 have gone on a few more years ? Was the party over in 1980?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 12, 2016 5:50 PM |
Liza and Halston were still going there together as late as 1983.

There were several things that killed Studio 54. One of them was AIDS. As soon as the AIDS scare started around it was like a pin that popped the balloon of good times.

Thanks for the info, r16.

Can you describe to us what this looked like? Young gayling here who's genuinely curious.

Bump.

[quote]They wouldn't let Cher in?
Cher actually put the place on the map when it first opened. One of the papers had her on page one wearing a straw hat. And 54 suddenly became associated with celebrities.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 15, 2016 7:28 PM |
Diana Vreeland wore too much scent. And she was as ugly as a dog.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 15, 2016 7:36 PM |
Not only did they let Cher in, they requested the company of her bare tits.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 15, 2016 7:58 PM |
That's not Studio 54 and it does look like Flippers.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 15, 2016 8:21 PM |
I got so many raw loads up my ass in the bleachers and basement that I lost count.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 15, 2016 8:27 PM |
Is it true they had an enema/douche room?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 15, 2016 8:33 PM |
Studio 54 wasn't the best days of the disco era.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 15, 2016 8:44 PM |
I'm sorry, Mr. Levan. But 54 was class. A song called "Is It All Over My Face?" was not spun in our establishment, unlike yours.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 15, 2016 8:49 PM |
Why did Mark Fleischman made a few changes about the Studio 54 like stopping people from going down in the basement?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 15, 2016 9:09 PM |
Liza on the floor. In vomit.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 11, 2016 1:06 AM |
Was Gloria Vanderbilt a regular?
Was that why Carter jumped?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 11, 2016 1:13 AM |
[2]I had always heard that Chris Atkins was as flipped out on drugs as anyone.

A bisexual man I used to chat with on yahoo messenger told me how he and his ex-wife when they were in college would go to 54 to dance on weekends because it was THE place to be in the 1970s in NYC, and that Steve Rubell let him go in because he was an adult but looked a lot younger. He and his ex-wife were monogamous. He told me how everyone knew CK loved coke and ludes, and that everyone else in the celebrity crowd did as well. He and his wife tried coke and they both preferred to smoke pot or drink in moderation instead. They never went to the areas where people were having sex such as the balcony or basement but that everyone knew that it was going on, and that if you wanted coke or any type of pill or drug you could easily buy it or find it from a dealer at 54...

Anyone remember Nikki Haskell from Studio 54? There’s some of her old shows shot at 54 on Amazon. I thinks she’s still around and goes to that members only Saturday night disco in LA, the name totally escapes me. My ex often had lunch with her but I’m afraid I only half listened to the Studio 54 stories he would tell me. I’m a tee total bookworm and the place sounded like he’ll to me, I’ve only been to one nightclub in my life and hated every minute. Now that I’m older I’m fascinated by the history and that whole era and I wouldn’t mind a time machine so long as I could go back and sit next to Fran Lebowitz for the night.
