R326, yes I do, and I am also a former drug addict and recovering drinker. I've had plenty of altercations with others who were high and acting erratic as well. There are many ways to incapacitate/restrain someone without just pulling a gun on them and trying to kill them outright. Especially if they're unarmed themselves. Mental illness/Drugs/Addiction can make people "erratic, paranoid, and aggressive" - you don't just run out and shoot everyone acting like that.

Some posters here simply assume that all porn actors are crazy, drugged-up freaks. In fact, there are plenty of porn actors who are just like everyone else except they happen to be having sex for money. We seldom hear about them, because when they retire they go back to their ordinary lives and are never heard of again because they don't get into trouble.

We hear about the ones who get into trouble, and, yes, there seem to be more of them in this profession than among, say, plumbers or accountants. There are two reasons why porn gets an unusual number of these problem guys. One is that they are so messed up by the homophobia of their parents, society, religion, etc., that they can't face what they are and look for dodges. Porn is the perfect dodge, because they can have sex with men while pretending it's just for the money. Obviously, these people are deranged.

The other reason is that men who are too crazy and enraged to fit into society can't hold down regular jobs or, worse, get into crime as a livelihood. They then find few job opportunities of any kind. But porn asks no questions, and they end up there. But they're still crazy, and they can end up in terrible ways, including murder.

So porn, unlike the plumbing and accounting worlds, etc., attracts these problem guys. And, yes, they can be very serious problems. But they aren't typical of porn actors because, again, we never heard about the typical ones.

I know of one. He was a Falcon star way back, very handsome and toned (not heavily muscled) and hung, kind of low-key but very sexy, with a pencil-thin mustache that came and went. Straight black hair, occhi assassin (as the Italians say), with a porn name so unassuming you'd think it was his own. He made a handful of films and then retired and went into that cliché of the ex-porn actor, selling real estate in Florida. A p;leasant and happy fellow. There were far more of him in porn than there were of the problem guys.

As for Bo Dean himself, it really is shocking how many of you gloat over his misfortune.
