Jeb Bush
Why is he tanking?
I'm a Democrat, but he seems to be the most coherent, rational, educated, and sensible candidate that Republicans have to offer. And yet, he's at 3% in the polls.
Compared to Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson, he's a motherfucking genius.
So what's the problem?

Coherent? Rational? He's another idiot republican with a terrible record of botched inside jobs and meddling with private lives.

r1, compared to the others in the republican field, jeb bush is the lesser of all evils. seriously.

I think your answer is right there. The Republicans are in no mood for any of that.

I also don't think he really wants it and that comes through.

That would be John Kasich.

Operative word in your assessment is SEEMS, OP
Jeb Bush is just as venal, just as dangerous and just as loathsome as the rest of the Republican candidates and that takes some doing.
Just FYI the qualities of coherence, rationality, common sense act make Republicans feel very mistrustful and uncomfortable. They regard any obvious display of education and or intelligence as a repellent characteristic.

Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdock have used the Overton Window with such success the Republician Party is being hoisted by their own petard. They pushed even further and further because it made for good TV but it's also made the most electable candidate appear far too liberal for the base of the party.

Maybe people are just tired of the Bushes.

No one wants to see his brother's smirking face ever again.

He's not crazy and stupid enough for the Tea Party.

Kasich is another religious kook, he's just stealth about it. Beware.

This should work out quite nicely...for EVERYONE.

R5 is correct. Not that Kasich is great but he fulfills that role better than Bush does.
Bush is a terrible candidate, that is why his support on the ground isn't there. Have you seen his speeches? Have you seen him at the debates? How can you get inspired by him.

R2, speaking of people not being educated, you're an illiterate, lazy twat.
LEAST of all evils, not "lesser."
Capitalize, asshole.
And stop using periods for emphasis. No one cares about you're "seriously."
Of course your entire premise that Bush is better than any of the others is silly. He's a Bush, an apologist for Republican travesties, out of touch, disconnected, stands for nothing except family ambition, and suffers from the Bush incoherence.
Now fuck yourself away.

Bush is tanking because the crazy faction of the Republican party are sick of lip service to their ridicilous ideas. Say what you will about either of the Bushes or Reagan, but they never really did anything concrete to advance the crazy faction's views. They were anti-gay marriage and anti-abortion and talked about it but they never shut down the government over it because that's FUCKING CRAZY. But that's what the new Republican party wants. If they don't agree, shut it down.

He's a potato. Or at least half-potato. Pretty sure Babs is made out of potatoes.
The rest of his family are criminals and warlords. Do you really want a warlord potato running this country?

He could be the greatest genius this world has ever known, but we haven't forgotten the administrations of his father and his brother.

He's not the greatest genius the world has ever known.

We also haven't forgotten how he used Katherine Harris to commit treason, and how he attempted to privatize Florida's water supply. Not to mention business dealings that were a Trump level of crooked.

Yes, Jeb is a mess, but, more importantly, everyone should hit that "ff" button on R21 / the troll who keeps bumping dozens of political threads from 2015-16 for no apparent reason.
