Meet Target's Only Plus-Size Male Model Zach Miko: 'I Wouldn't Have Had the Confidence If It Wasn't for My Wife'
Scrolling through Target's "big & tall" section of men's clothing on their website, you may notice that only one of the male models actually fits that description – 26-year-old Zach Miko.
"I never understood why looking at big and tall clothing, they show me these Abercrombie & Fitch-style, really cut, really fit guys," Miko tells PEOPLE. "These guys aren't buying XXL tall T-shirts, these guys aren't buying 42-inch pants, but they're the guys you see modeling it."

Do they sell condoms in the Big and Tall department?

Would he have a prettier face if he were to drop 45-50 Lbs? Sure.
But he would also lose something which is very sexy and desirable to many of us and that is that beefy "I can through you around in bed like a stuffed toy" thing which makes me purr/growl. Big men have always been my most proficient lovahs. (of course I don't mean sloppy big)

Uh, no. You could be beefy and in shape.

His first pic is hot. The other one, not so much.
What a horrible article. It kept saying how he never thought he would model but doesn't say how he ended up modeling. How did Target pick this random dude who had no aspirations of modeling?? From a truck stop?

I find it hard to believe he never thought he was handsome. Lots of women like big beefy Jethro Bodine kinds of guys, and he's got that in spades.

He's got huge dick face. If he lost weight it would make his body better but his face worse. But he's a typical douche, complaining about the fact he's fat while making a living off of it.

looks like a friend of mine sans the elongated face. hi hi I'm so tagging him, our other is friend a male model and we always talk crap about him and his obsession with being thin

I lived in Texas for several years and sold clothes at a retail outlet. We could never stock enough 2X and 3X t-shirts for some reason. Then I realized that Texans couldn't resist the all-you-can-eat buffets, regardless of whether the food was good or bad. Servings at those restaurants were never limited to portion size. Customers could go back to the chow line as many times as they wanted and get as much food as they wanted for a single low price. Carbonated sodas were always big-gulp sized with free refills. Of course, the kids learned from their parents, so the cycle was perpetuated.
Plus-size advertisements may be a de-facto recognition of what's happening in America, but I don't see it as being a healthy trend, particularly if being plus-sized is due to one's own inability to control food intake and a resistance to do even the simplest exercise like walking.

If this were the 1950s, I could buy his being a plus size. He is not even scratching the surface of today's fat generation.

Ewww kill it. Could you imagine the giggles he'd inspire (mine included!) if he strutted around the David Barton locker room looking like THAT!

That's a Chicago medium, given his height.
I'm just worried about the crotchetal pudge.

He's NOT the only plus size on the Target site.
But he is the hottest.

We need to stop celebrating and putting out photos of fatties. Fat acceptance is a bad thing.

Plus-size for gay men would probably mean anything over a 32 inch waist.

I wish we could quarantine fat people. Maybe corral the entire herd, state by state, and move them onto an island somewhere where we don't have to be subjected to them. I don't like to be around them. A fattie cruised me on the street last week. It was all I could do to get back to my apartment without having to duck into an alley and vomit.

32 waist is normal. So you need 30" to be thin.

He really cleans up well. Just look at the before photo at R23 and the after photo at the OP. Who knew a little facial hair and hair gel could work such wonders? He looks like a model.

r35 A waist size of 32 might be normal for a twenty year old, but sorry honey that is not normal for the rest of the country gays included.

His size at 26 is a bad harbinger. If he was 260lbs at 38 that would be understandable but so little effort is required to keep yourself fit at 26, it's alarming to see fat acceptance so early in life. Look at Sam Smith, it took him 2 months to lose half his body weight.

I'm in my late 40s and have always has a 32" waist since high school. It would be smaller but I have widish girl hips and a womanly round bubble ass. And I'm 6' 180 pounds.

Okay, looks or the perfect weight? He has the looks but he's overweight, but I guarantee some you DL posters are the proper weight but don't have the looks. Now be honest. You can't have it all darlings.

So..."plus-size" models, but no clothes that actually fit the 33% of American men 5'8" and under? XL, 2XL and up have existed for a long time. Is it really a huge problem that no one was modeling it? How about retailers calm down with the 6'3" "Abercrombie & Fitch-style, really cut, really fit guys" wearing mediums, and actually size clothes properly? I don't even care if no one models it.

I once dated a Cajun guy who was built like this (maybe a little smaller) — and 6'7". More than once when it was bedtime he would pick me up like a sack of flour and growl [italic]Allons-y[/italic].
