I am one of those buff dudes who posts pics of myself in the gym, flexing, and in boxer briefs. I have a nice ripped body and like to show it off. I have a really nice butt and love it when people comment or like pics of it. I have noticed that a lot of the guys that "like" or compliment by booty pics identify as straight. Oftentimes, they will leave comments such as "hot bro," "nice," "looking hot, man," "stud," or "wow." These guys usually have girlfriends or wives, which makes me wonder why they are complimenting my buns.
What does it mean when Straight Dudes Like or comment on your Booty Pics
by Anonymous | reply 89 | November 13, 2020 3:55 AM |
You are the DL version of a Kardashian. And, because you are, I will have to point this out: No, that is not a compliment.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 15, 2015 4:33 PM |
Your ass is so irresistible, OP. Even straight guys want to fuck you. Happy?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 15, 2015 4:35 PM |
Obviously, OP, your thread is USELESS without pics.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 15, 2015 4:41 PM |
Who are you, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 15, 2015 6:01 PM |
They are actually just making fun of you. There is probably a group of them looking at your pictures and laughing at you right this very moment. Don't worry, straight dudes do it all the time to the gays.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 15, 2015 6:04 PM |
It's called sarcasm, op. look into it.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 15, 2015 6:08 PM |
they are hoping you will be encouraged to present your anus
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 15, 2015 6:34 PM |
It's the norm among young fitness and gym bros. Sometimes my straight friends will tell me I am looking "hot" or that I am so "jacked." Millennial men are much freer in complimenting men for their physiques. Legions of buff Men are showing off their bodies on Bodyspace, Instagram, Vine, and for the most part, it is men that are commenting on, following, and Liking their photos. I notice that straight dudes really respect a guy with a powerful physique, and their compliments are not necessarily sexual, but often respectful, or in awe. Males are motivated to get buff by seeing other dudes with hot bodies. However, I do wonder about straight dudes who like and comment on photos of guys' butts. I guess they would say a nice butt is a nice butt, so it shouldn't make them any less straight
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 15, 2015 6:38 PM |
OP is a liar and very old. No one under 60 says "buns"
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 15, 2015 7:11 PM |
R9 writes in an effeminate manner for a "dude."
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 15, 2015 7:17 PM |
r10, you must not hang around black guys or know anything about hip hop. Urban culture refers to having sex as "getting the buns" all the time.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 15, 2015 7:37 PM |
How about all the straight dudes on Instagram posing with each like this, and straight guys "favoriting" such pics?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 15, 2015 7:38 PM |
I have seen women call out straight guys for liking or following guys' naked or suggestive pics. One girlfriend called out her boyfriend for liking a hot dude with in tight Under Armour briefs, "wassup with you liking this dude's thot pic," she said.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 15, 2015 7:39 PM |
[quote] "wassup with you liking this dude's thot pic," she said.

the straight white word is glutes. I'm workin the glutes.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 15, 2015 10:05 PM |
They want you to compliment THEIR pics. Duh.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 15, 2015 10:34 PM |
I have noticed the same thing. You can say whatever you want to another male as long as you say magic masculine words like "bro" or "brah." For instance, I hear guys say, "you looking mad sexy, bruh" all the time. It inoculates guys against being called gay or creepy, because it the language of the "bros." It is similar to saying "no homo" without as being as offensive.

by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 16, 2015 12:38 PM |
Just look on Instagram at all the guys who identify as straight explicitly commenting on how buff and sexy other guys are. Some of yall are living in 1978. It's a whole new world. Thank you Instagram!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 16, 2015 12:58 PM |
I am one of those guys who likes to "straight bait" on Instagram, Bodyspace. I work out a lot, have a nice body, and love getting attention for it. I especially love it when "straight" guys compliment my body. A lot of times, they send me direct private messages so their girlfriends and buddies won't know. Most of them have hot fit bodies themselves, so I reciprocate the love.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 16, 2015 1:28 PM |
It means the same things as those Instagram "straight" guys who have their Amazon Wish List posted in their profile description, and will post pics in the "gifts" their male "fans" bought them.

hot to death!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 16, 2015 8:12 PM |
My straight bros say that it is not "gay" because fitness dudes and bodybuilders appreciate the fit male form in a artistic or athletic way. The glutes are a major muscle, and accordingly, fitness bros critique glutes just the same as any other part. It's like dudes admiring your abs. You can admire or appreciate something without having erotic desires towards it. Guys are just freer to talk about their admiration these days.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 17, 2015 2:08 PM |
Appreciation is not lust

Usually it means you're imagining fantasies to post on gay websites.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 17, 2015 9:45 PM |
The amount of delusion and total ignorance in this thread is astounding. Just because men are supposedly "freer" these days doesn't mean they go around calling each other sexy and liking pics of mens asses. They like the muscle pics sure (not the buns thing though and OP is clearly a pathetic troll) but it's only in an appreciative sense, nothing sexual or gay about it at all. It's common among Instagram fitness models and enthusiasts to compliment other guys photos in platonic ways, but they usually go out of their way to sound as least gay as possible hwen doing so. The country is still very much anti-gay at it's core, and that includes the fitness world
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 17, 2015 11:52 PM |
OP, Ill need to see your "bun" pics for further assessment of this situation.

by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 21, 2015 2:57 PM |
Glutes are a muscles. Bodybuilders and fitness bros train glutes extensively just like pecs, delts, biceps, etc. Glutes are judged like any other muscle. Therefore, it is legit for dudes to comment on or compliment your glutes just like any other muscle.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 21, 2015 3:42 PM |
[quote]My straight bros say that it is not "gay" because fitness dudes and bodybuilders appreciate the fit male form in a artistic or athletic way.
Yeah, and in the 1950s guys like this were so into "fitness" that they subscribed to a half-dozen bodybuilding magazines. They were just really into physiques, bro.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 21, 2015 3:54 PM |
As stated, as long as you don't say gay or have gay mannerisms, you can get away calling dudes hot without objection. It's often the language that matters. Instagram Bros are all over the place stroking each other for being hot, but they say it in that "dudely" way that is now socially acceptable. It's a bunch of "yeah bro, you rock," "your abs are sick, dude," "tight ass glutes, man!," and "mad sexy yo" comments between guys on Instagram, Vine, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 22, 2015 12:21 AM |
As long as you don't sound "gay" or effeminate, it's all good to them.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 22, 2015 1:03 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 26, 2016 12:57 PM |
R32 nailed it
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 26, 2016 1:02 PM |
I'm black. As Urban Dictionary will teach you whites, black people say buns. As in: "I am going to see my girl tonight. Hopefully, she's giving up the buns tonight."
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 26, 2016 1:13 PM |
"My anaconda don't want none, unless she's got buns hon!"---lyrics from one of the most popular hip hop songs in history (you old white people are so clueless about urban culture)

by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 25, 2016 12:24 PM |
There is a proper way to compliment a guy on Instagram. You have to say they hot in a masculine way such as the following: "Damn bro," "you're a beast, brah," "stud;" "flexing, bro;" "tight, bruh."
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 26, 2016 1:56 PM |
R57 How about: "you're a butch, no homo" or "damn you gym rat" or "muscle/gym bunny/pup".
by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 26, 2016 2:51 PM |
It means he wants to try out dat brand new ass.

It means straight men aren’t completely unfamiliar with male-make sexual attraction, but it’s just not their primary or even an important part of their experience. It means that sure, maybe in a post apocalyptic situation where it’s just you and him, you might get your a-hole-is-a-hole experience, but don’t count on it u til then. It means that ifyou are especially attractive, I guess you might get a few more opportunities then the rest of us I suppose.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | November 12, 2020 9:48 PM |
aesthetic appreciation doesn't have to be sexual. I can see why that might be a blurry area for gay guys when interacting with straight guys.
