After Physical and Heart Attack her career went downhill fast

She was going to play Connie Francis's mother, Ida, in "Who's Sorry Now." Olympia looked Ida's twin. The movie was never made,

Saw her off B'way in a Tennessee Williams play a few years ago. A dull play. She was, as you can imagine, exceptional.

She's been in 20+ movie and tv projects in the last 5 years, so it's not like she's vanished. Plus she's 84 now, it's not like she will be getting real high profile or leading roles, sadly. But she is still working steadily.

I saw her at a show last week. Somewhat frail, but still going strong. Amazing face.

Other than her performance in "Moonstruck", I think she veers toward hammy or dull. She's not a fave of mine.

r5 Well, she DID look good sitting in that tank.

Mrs Madrigal is doing fine. She sends her love.

Her "southern accent" in Steel Magnolias blacklisted her.

Why, R1?
