Caraway seeds

Do you hate those, too?

by Anonymousreply 4April 11, 2020 3:05 AM

LOVE 'em. From crunchy, toasted corn/rye bread to Kummel to Welsh seedcake, they are oil-rich, aromatic, flavorful(and carminative) A very underrated spice. Easy and fun to grow, although it takes 2 years to get a crop. A tasty Umbellifer.

Posting a picture because I had no idea what OP was talking about.

Now that I know what they're called, no, I've never liked them.

As an adult, I love them. When I was a kid, I hated them. They’re nice in kraut.

I make homemade sauerkraut, and caraway seeds really improve the taste. Love them!
