So, what do we think about Nick's acting?

You know, he seems to have the least amount of scenes in the entire show, of all the characters. And whenever he's on screen, he's always silent and brooding, never wants to say what is on his mind.

I think he's good in Scream Queens but Kingdom doesn't give him much to do except be brooding and gruff.

'Kingdom' isn't the most intellectual show to begin with, but hopefully he will get some interesting storylines as his character's sexuality develops.

It's been implied R80 but they haven't shown it. His girlfriend mentioned she knows all about his hook ups, etc. when she went on that homophobic tirade after she looked through his phone. I'm getting the feels that they won't show anything explicit, though.

He's such a blank slate that any traits that could be used to describe him are ones the audience projects -- nothing that the writers have explored. Okay, he's hiding his homosexuality/bisexuality and yes, he's seen he foibles of his dysfunctional family -- is that why he's so quiet? Within the last few episodes, his father said he had one some who was a lunatic and one who was a mute. I wondered if that was the creative team's mea culpa that Nate has been developed so sparsely. I also wondered if maybe Nick Jonas was a limited actor, and perhaps they're catering to that. He's a terrific looking young man, no question, but over the course of nearly two seasons he's had very little to do, acting-wise.

Jonathan Tucker and Frank Grillo are awesome in this. It would be cool if they get Emmy noms.

I love this show and I am enjoying the slow evolution of Nick Jonas' character. I loved what he said to the poor Mother in the last episode. Jay is the most interesting character though. You can't take your eyes off of him when he is on screen.

So far the only good scenes with Jonas are the ones between Nate and Jay. I loved him telling Christina that he only cares what happens to Jay. I suppose Nate only knows Christina as a junkie who abandoned them whereas Jay remembers her when she was clean.

Kingdom isn't a show to delve into backstories too deeply but I'd like to know if there's more to why Nate and Jay are standoffish with Alvey. He's a hard-ass and a different sort of mess than their mother, but I don't think enough to warrant how they treat him as more of an associate than a father.

Tucker is the hottest of the 3 younger male cast- he's very intelligent and witty, and commits to every role that I've seen him in. Matt is like a puppy- so earnest, sensitive and wants to be liked. Nick is a cypher- stays silent, shows up when he is needed, but is polite and professional. It's a damned shame about Kylie- she's a good girl and will make a great mom one day.
