Why is it $19,000? Is it in Tribeca? Looks dull.

I was just wondering the same thing. The only things that add to it are that it's furnished, probably on a month-to-month lease, and probably with a doorman / full-service. But, I'm just guessing. Still, I know people in units like that ~7-8k / mo. on the high end in nicer areas.

For $19,000 a month, I'd require a goddamned skyline view.

I'd ever get used to having all of the people in those buildings staring into my living room and bedroom. I'd feel like a prisoner with the drapes pulled closed al of the time. And I agree, there's nothing special about the place or decor.

There is no view and the Windows face the other apartments, totally not worth the price.
Did he have any privacy? I can imagine people spying on him with their telescopes.

It probably has 24 hour security.

The naked lady over the bed is there to show that Daniel is straight.

One enters the residence . . . through the kitchen?

Wow, at that price, I can afford several, one for each of my friends.

A. Tiny one bedroom....

For $19,000 a month, the staff turns a blind eye to all the half naked men coming in and out of the apartment at all hours.

This was listed at 21k a month in the same building. It is new construction in SoHo. He paid $4.3 million back in 2007.
Interestingly, if he put 20% down and had a mortgage (which I doubt - he probably paid cash) his monthly payment would be $17,175 before assessments or taxes. For a building like that, assessments & taxes would be probably $3-4000/mo. So, $19,000 a month actually isn't too crazy...considering.

That kind of money, and all you get is a view of your neighbor's windows? Ridiculous.

1/4 million a year in rent for a very pedestrian apartment.
These days living in NYC defies any pretense of logic.

For that price it better come with the goddamned invisibility cloak
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 6, 2015 3:43 PM |
R12 yes, but then he would own it. And he can afford to.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 6, 2015 3:49 PM |
