I'm not sure why. I prefer the other ones.
The Pacific Ocean: I don't like it.

It's like sleeping on the wrong side of the bed.

I don't like moths. They are devil birds.

R2 Is this Natalie Wood?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 1, 2015 4:30 AM |
Sorry, R3 was meant OP
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 1, 2015 4:31 AM |
R4=posting is not your thing
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 1, 2015 4:38 AM |
Whatever, OP. The Channel Islands don't like you either!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 1, 2015 4:47 AM |
At least they didn't change your name.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 1, 2015 4:51 AM |
I'm feeling IGNORED here, bitches!!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 1, 2015 4:53 AM |
Pacific sucks.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 1, 2015 6:29 AM |
At least the Pacific US doesn't typically receive these awful hurricanes you guys have.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 1, 2015 6:36 AM |
I didn't like that it was so calm. The Atlantic is much more tempestuous, like a real ocean.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 1, 2015 6:40 AM |
OP isn't a size queen.

Not calm enough for us!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 1, 2015 6:43 AM |
Sharks seem less prevalent on that side, though.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 1, 2015 6:46 AM |
Too much plankton, dear?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 1, 2015 6:46 AM |
You know you love it, R15.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 1, 2015 6:52 AM |
OP, you're very specific and prolific about your horrific disdain for the Pacific.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 1, 2015 7:05 AM |
R5, It isn't, and what's worse is that I'm 100% sober.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 1, 2015 8:09 AM |
You are crazy. Have you even been to any pacific beaches around the world??? The Atlantic just seems cold, fishy, and dirty by comparison.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 1, 2015 11:10 AM |
At least syringe needles dont wash up on our beaches like they do on the Jersey Shore, or water smell like fart from decaying sea grass in Key West. Just sayin.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 1, 2015 11:37 AM |
There are really only two oceans, the Grocery Ocean (or A&P) and the Injun Ocean.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 1, 2015 11:39 AM |
The Pacific Ocean is just SO fucking huge... thinking about it gives me the creeps for some reason. I also become overwhelmed by looking at a crystal clear night sky with the maximum visibility of stars---I can't look for long before having to turn away. Is there a name for that? It's not like I'm afraid of wide open spaces, but vast and deep water, and a very starry night sky freak me the fuck out.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 1, 2015 11:57 AM |
Yeah, r22 you are much better on the Atlantic with the Titanic.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 1, 2015 12:08 PM |
Vast deep waters and very starry night skies are there to remind you that you are but a puny, pusillanimous worm in the larger scheme of the infinite, R22.
Feel better now that I've explained it for you?

The thread title sounds like something Suzanne Sugarbaker would say.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 3, 2015 7:03 AM |

The West Coast get big surf in the winter storm season. It can get huge. Especially in an El Nino year (stay tuned). Beachfront Malibu homes will be trashed.
The only summer surf is from the occasional hurricane that sits and spins off the far away coasts of Mexico or New Zealand. And it usually only hits south facing beaches.

Cortes Bank in California, big, big, BIG waves! 60ft or higher!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 3, 2015 8:36 AM |
Pacific Ocean don't care.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 3, 2015 9:03 AM |
It's 2 a.m., and I'm bundled up, out on my deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I love it here, and the beach is just steps away, with no cliffs. I hate the Atlantic Ocean. You have to crawl over people to find a place to put down your towel, and the water and sand seem dirty. Here, I'm looking at a few bonfires, the stars and the ocean waves. Just perfect tranquility. There's plenty to do in town, and a major city is just an hour away. I feel like I'm in Paradise every day, and I've been here for 15 years. Yes, the tourists come in the summer, but my place is just far enough away from the little town, that they rarely walk this far, so it's just me, the waves, the stars and good friends. It took me years, and lots of travel, but I finally found home.

Damn, where in CA are you R34?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 3, 2015 10:04 AM |
I don't like it either. Seriously, it's a very large body of water to fly over. Humbling. Love the Channel Islands tho (go sea kayaking!), just not liking the fly-over thing.
And it's cold. Give me the Gulf of Mexico any day.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 2, 2015 5:29 PM |
No fats, fems or pacific oceans.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 2, 2015 5:38 PM |
R36 Do many people fly over it? When you go to Japan, you actually trace up toward Alaska. Seems silly to fly over the middle unless you're going somewhere like Hawaii.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 22, 2020 10:53 PM |
Maybe you should distinguish between the pacific and the west coast.
I’ll stick with my gulf coast beach. But enjoying the Atlantic and pacific are just different. Not better, not worse.
I love beaches in the winter.

2015 bump loser @ R38 , your thread targets are pretty scattershot today, feeling aimless?
