It really depends on the country, but in most instances, no.
If you met someone you like from another country, would you move there for them?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | April 5, 2020 11:51 PM |
In most instances, yes.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | September 29, 2015 3:14 AM |
R1 so if you lived on the us but your love lived in new Zealand, you'd move there?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | September 29, 2015 3:16 AM |
I did. I lived in SE Asia for 10 years before DOMA went down.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 29, 2015 3:17 AM |
Your spouse is very lucky to have someone as Considerate as you.
Hopefully I can find seine like you in the future.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 29, 2015 3:20 AM |
Absolutely R2
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 29, 2015 3:24 AM |
R5 what if he was in south Korea?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 29, 2015 3:26 AM |
Not if it's a place like Andorra or Lichtenstein.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 29, 2015 3:27 AM |
Well, you do have the option of bringing him here now with DOMA gone.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 29, 2015 3:29 AM |
Hell, I wouldn't move to another city or state, much less another country, for love, OP.
Too many fish in the sea, man!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 29, 2015 3:33 AM |
Unless you're wealthy or in a needed profession, good luck on getting residency in New Zealand!
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 29, 2015 3:36 AM |
I would wait to see if he graduated from his major and passed his big test. If he did, I'd sell some used books to pay for the move.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 29, 2015 3:36 AM |
If you wouldn't move to another country for someone you love, you never loved him.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 1, 2015 11:12 PM |
If he offered all the free nursing and samples of Tom Hardy's hair and toe nail clippings that I wanted, sure.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 1, 2015 11:21 PM |
I one day hope to meet a Canadian to fall in love with so I can move to Canada and start a book reselling business. Know anyone?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 1, 2015 11:25 PM |
r14 program troll is Canadian.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 1, 2015 11:38 PM |
Honey, I believe that's the joke r14 is making.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 1, 2015 11:44 PM |
r15 Argh, right, I get it..... a little dense here!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 1, 2015 11:46 PM |
That's okay, r17, PMBT makes many a brain numb. If I could, I'd hug you and whisper, "there, there."
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 2, 2015 12:13 AM |
I moved to a poor, provincial town in France with my GF. Quite an eye-opener after drinking champagne in Paris to wind up in a run-down French Rust Belt city with a big, unhappy North African minority. Learned a lot in two years, it was a bittersweet experience.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 2, 2015 1:11 AM |
R7 Andorra or Liechtenstein. If it was one of those countries, I'd move there immediately. LOW TAXES here I come.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 2, 2015 1:17 AM |
Yes, I did.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 2, 2015 1:35 AM |
Only if you could support yourself. You don't want to be a mailorder whore.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 2, 2015 1:49 AM |
Why ask that question here? Most of the queens here can't mange to pry themselves from Sean Cody/Corbin Fisher viewing long enough to take a dump. much less move to another part of the world.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 2, 2015 2:13 AM |
I would have to be madly crazy in live. Otherwise if I had no way to support myself there and had to be a house husband then no.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 2, 2015 2:26 AM |
My toilet gets wifi, r24.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 2, 2015 2:27 AM |
Sure. I've always been agreeable to moving to new places - though by no means just any place. I have U.S. and E.U. citizenship which covers much of the turf I'd consider (adding in some other parts of the Americas as potential places where I'd be willing to relocate.)
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 2, 2015 2:40 AM |
Under certain conditions, yes. If I could let legal residency, if I could work in my profession, if I spoke the language well enough to function on my own, if I had the funds to leave and resettle somewhere else, if I liked the country enough to be willing to spend the rest of my life there.
Because moving to a new place and being dependent on someone can turn into a living hell - you can find yourself unable to leave a bad or abusive relationship, or being terrified of being abandoned in a place where you can't support yourself. Read up on mail-order bride horror stories, if you want to know how bad things can get.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 2, 2015 2:57 AM |
I moved to Florida for a lover once, so except for Somalia and a few other places, I'm obviously free to move anywhere.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 2, 2015 4:17 AM |
I used to think YES, I most definitely would but you people have me so afraid of foreigners with all your "uncut this" and "smegma (sp?) that" and once a week showers . . . I'd be afraid to date one here!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 2, 2015 5:00 AM |
R30, there are many other countries besides France.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 2, 2015 5:04 AM |
Did you learn to love big black dick, R19? Or did you at least learn to take it?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 2, 2015 5:09 AM |
Been there, done that. 11 years in Australia. It was 10 years, 6 months too long.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 2, 2015 5:14 AM |
I've turned down two moves, one to the eastern part of the state (Republican part, horrible weather, farm country) and another to Hawaii (didn't want to get back together with him), so I guess I wouldn't, unless I loved him so much, and it was a nice part of the world. If the relationshup was solid, it would be an adventure.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 2, 2015 5:21 AM |
I did it. Relationship lasted 15 years. But Im still in that country and its a nice place and don't feel like changing jobs and maybe careers again. Life is a journey.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 2, 2015 6:22 AM |
I moved across the world for someone. We lived together for 2 years in Australia and then I followed him back to The Netherlands and lived there for a further 4 years with him.
After we broke up, I returned to Australian again.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 2, 2015 7:31 AM |
Possibly, but only if he were also willing to move here to be with me.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 2, 2015 12:32 PM |
Nobody wants to move to America with you R37.
[bold]Nobody.[/bold]
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 2, 2015 12:36 PM |
So mean R38. What the fuck is wrong with you?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 2, 2015 3:15 PM |
If their net worth was $20 million or more? yes.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 2, 2015 3:33 PM |
R26, I'm laughing my ass off (pardon the pun); hysterical!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 2, 2015 3:35 PM |
Which country were you thinking of: Canada or Japan?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 2, 2015 3:51 PM |
I think commuting back and forth between Japan and China, but mostly Japan. Canadian Japan, that is.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 2, 2015 10:16 PM |
I would for love, not for "like."
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 5, 2020 3:15 PM |
Is this yet another Meghan Markle thread?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 5, 2020 3:21 PM |
Very few places: Scandinavia, Uruguay, New Zealand (maybe if he we’re very rich and stable).
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 5, 2020 4:37 PM |
Of course. But it would have to be a country where ordinary people have rights. Big "no" to UAE.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 5, 2020 5:09 PM |
Muriel must be Bump Bitch. Or she’d be doing something about Bump Bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 5, 2020 5:48 PM |
LOLOLOLOLOL, OP, noooo.........
