I'm sick of the same old music

Link me to someone/something I haven't heard before!

I just discovered Lindsey Stirling, who has gorgeous and brilliant music videos mixing violin with dubstep and hip-hop!

Here's Shatter Me, which has over 38 million views:

Marc Broussard. If anyone can be considered the polar opposite of the plastic, processed, sterile pop world that exists today, it would be him.

I really like Sasha Lazard's work, especially The Myth of Red. I've leant that CD to a number of people and each one of them has been shocked that they hadn't heard of her. She has musical training and can sing in a number of languages.

OP - you suck at this. You have to give us more than that to get any decent recommendations. There are actually lots of music geeks and music buffs on DL who could steer you in the right direction, but you have to let us know your tastes... favorite artists, albums, songs etc.

That said, how about some intrigue and glamour from Goldfrapp...

Lisa Hartman - If Love Must Go She sounds a bit nasally, but I think that was because of her nose job.

Try Julia Holter's new CD "Have You in My Wilderness" it's great...

And when did a song move you to tears?

"Betsy on the Roof" a highlight probably will.
