Mine is Ferror ROcher. And also I like an Italian brand, which I can't remember the name of. It's pretty famous. It has silver wrapping and has dark blue words on it. A patient gave me those chocolates for taking good care of her.
What is your favorite brand of chocolate?

I think you mean Baci by Perugina, OP. Delicious hazelnut and chocolate candy with a love note in each wrapper.

R1, yep. Man that brand of chocolate tastes great.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 18, 2015 3:21 AM |
R4, Actually Hershey's kisses tastes generic. I think it's made from low quality cocoa or something.

See's. They just had a sale (which rarely happens) in honor of Mary See's birthday. Not good for my waistline! (And you can always get a good discount by buying their gift certificates at Costco.)

Lindt Classic Recipe Milk Chocolate Bars. They're not high-brow but they're very tasty.

No love for Godiva? I used to buy for my (late) aunt, bdays from me, and literally buy FOR her; she would send me $$ to ship her a 1, lb box; she would eat just ONE chocolate per day - very disciplined. Me? not so much.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 18, 2015 10:48 AM |
Godiva dark chocolate tastes like wax to me - or I should say the wax lips I remember from when I was a kid
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 18, 2015 11:55 AM |
I like Chocolats du Cali Bressan. The Buddha Beauty is fantastic.

Go ahead and laugh, but for you chocolate connoisseurs on a budget ( or not ) try Aldi's Dark chocolate with chili, dark chocolate with mint, dark chocolate with orange and almonds, and the milk chocolate with toffee chips is absolutely, fabulously addicitive. All imported from Germany.

Freia, Norwegian brand. Best chocolate in the world.... EVER.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 18, 2015 4:48 PM |
Teuschers
Years ago they were expensive.
Now they're insanely expensive.
Most likely will never have them again but they are as good as I've tasted.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 18, 2015 4:53 PM |
And where do "we" live, R29?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 18, 2015 5:03 PM |
Surprisingly, Paul Newman makes a good dark bar. Super Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa. It's one of the better "healthy" dark chocolates I've tasted.

R29 probably lives in the suburbs of Zurich.

I love Green & Black's chocolate. Thankfully Mondelēz haven't messed around with it too much (like they did Cadbury, the bastards!).
I also found out recently why American chocolate tastes like vomit to me. Chocolate in the U.S. is extra processed which makes some kind of acid as a side-effect. That's what I can taste; it's horrible!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 23, 2020 3:35 PM |
For those just looking for pure chocolate with yummy praline etc. This is unquestionably the best single-source/s artisan chocolate I've tasted.
The unique fruit and other flavour notes really come through and sing.

MDW, a small, gay-owned chocolate maker in Chicago. These guys began making chocolates as a hobby 20 years ago and everything is still hand-made in small batches. (The filled chocolates are amazing.)

Cadbury, especially if it's British Cadbury. Their Milk Chocolate Fruit and Nut bar is one of my favorite things to splurge on....if I'm going to splurge, which I don't too often.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 23, 2020 4:38 PM |
It has to be Lindt.
Also, Ritter Sport. Their coconut chocolate bar is delicious.
