Actually, those who've seen more than the pilot say it gets even stronger as the season progresses.

I am afraid the overhype is going to work against it. There always seems to be a 'revolt' when the audience is TOLD something is going to be fantastic and doesn't discover it themselves.

I am hoping for the best. If it follows the AHS model, it could work. Even that show has had its hit and miss seasons/moments, but I could see Scream Queens doing different decades, etc.

It can't be any worse than that awful 'Scream' MTV reboot, which sucked. Of course, I am waaaaaaay out of the target audience for that one.

As I have with Glee and American Horror Story, I will definitely give this one a shot.

I'm MUCH more looking forward to AHS -- I tried watching Coven but it felt too much like it was made for seventeen year old tumblr girls and so I gave up. Freak Show felt like more of exactly the same so I didn't even bother. And Scream Queens feels like that to the millionth power.

But I loved Murder House and liked Asylum, and I'm hoping he returns to something more like that for Hotel.

Maybe Jessica Lange will come back for American Horror Story 11: Giant Monster....

The only thing I saw Emma Roberts in on TV was the pilot of Delirium. In spite of a great director in Rodrigo Garcia and Daren Kagasoff giving her the eye, she had all the charisma of a soggy piece of cardboard. Very pretty - very dull - a serious case of the Natalie Portmans.
