Isn't that historic in the primary phase of an election? Has an implosion like this happened to such a clear front runner before? Maybe Gary Hart?

They're quite similar and neither understands how the government works.

LOL nothing is funnier on Datalounge than getting the Hillary fans worked up. I went to look for a hideous picture of Hillary, I mean granted those are easy to find, but I found one on an image search that had a Breitbart connection. I knew that would add to the fun.
I like this one too LOLOLOL

I didn't even know Bernie Sanders was still running. I thought that campaign was pretty much finished after he fled his umpteenth campaign rally.
I'm sure Hillary is worried over such fierce competition.

The reason she's down in that poll is because they're polling Joe Biden, who's hinting that he wants to run. The poll respondents said that if Joe doesn't run, most of his support goes back to Hillary, putting Hillary back into a commanding lead.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 15, 2015 4:09 AM |
I'm not a troll you jackass. I'm aware of what the Justice Department said. Despite their findings, there are still front page articles every day relating to her handling of emails. She sits back and does nothing while this meme of her "untrustworthiness" gets drilled into the minds of people she needs to win.

If Sanders doesn't have a chance in hell then why do the Clinton supporters go out of their way to insult him? He's running a campaign based on ideas and talking about the issues that are important to most Americans. He is not running a campaign based on hate, fear mongering, misogyny, homophobia, personal attacks, empty promises or outright lies. When the MSM deems him worthy to interview he makes a great case for why he wants to be president and what he wants to accomplish. Hillary is floundering about trying on new personalities to see which one will win over voters and get her elected. Bernie is a true original. He is a Social Democrat. As are many of the Democrats who post in threads like this. Biden is a moderate Democrat, hawkish on the military, but leans to the left on social issues. Hillary is right of center, still that Goldwater Republican when it comes to the military, and an elitist who is more interested in making history than actually being president. We know who these people are. And who they are not. We also know we can judge them by the people they keep close. Dragging out all those old dust covered surrogates like Carville and Begala are not doing her any favors. Begala is particularly skeevy. He suggested, oh so delicately, that Biden used his appearance on Colbert, where he talked about Beau and his tragic and untimely death, to foster his political aspirations. That is the heighth of cynicism. This is who she chooses to let speak for her. To defend her! She's a fucking monster if she actually believes that.

And here is your typical blowhard, batshit Bernie Sanders supporter. The shit they come up with. They hate black people with a passion, throwing the n word around left and right because they don't support the savior that is Bernard Sanders, gun nut. by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 15, 2015 7:41 AM |
I love Bernie Sanders, I do, but you won't win this election solely with the support of white men (sorry, white dudes) - he does not (yet) have nearly enough minority or female support. If his momentum continues he'll likely win Iowa and/or New Hampshire where the demographics favor him and there'll be all this punditry about how Hillary's campaign is doomed, but then Hillary will take Nevada and South Carolina (Feb 20 and 23), then Super Tuesday comes and she'll likely get the vast majority of those states and the nomination will be secured. I like both Hillary and Bernie - shocker, I know! I totally recognize that Hillary can be a bit of a slimeball and that she's contradicted herself in the past, but while Bernie may be more of a purist and, frankly, honest man, HIllary is the more skilled politician and I want someone who knows how to play the game in the White House, not someone who will be obstructed every step of the way by a more conservative congress.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 15, 2015 8:01 AM |
I have no interest in another Bush or another Clinton as president. I'm not alone.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 15, 2015 8:03 AM |
Bernie knows very well how the "game" is played, but like Obama, he will refuse to play by "their" rules. Bernie is a level headed idealist. But he is also a pragmatist and knows that reaching an accommodation is preferable to going to war. He does have a line he won't cross. They know it. They will negotiate. He is not Obama. He is inclusive, not exclusive. I don't mean that to sound like I think Obama is an elitist. Far from it. I think r31 sounds mentally ill. Or is just trying to start shit. Or both. Be gone, bitch. I can't stomach the way the Clintons play "the game". They play very down and dirty. Sometimes I wonder if what Jesse Jackson Jr. said about them, that they are closet "racists", was just a cheap, yet deadly, political ploy or if he and others in the AA community really did think that. And with good reason.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 15, 2015 4:47 PM |
R39, You need to ask yourself why Bernie's supporters are 99% white. His campaign rallies are as lily white as Trump's.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 15, 2015 4:53 PM |
That doesn't make him, or them, racists, r40. He represents his constituents. Who happen to be 99% white. I would imagine that trying to sell the idea of "socialism" to AA's might present problems in and of itself. Never mind his ethnicity. And cranky persona;)

In another thread R45 says, "Jeb has no money and is about will drop out before you know it." which tells you how much R45 knows about what's going on in politics.
Jeb! has a $100 million war chest and he will be the Republican nominee barring serious injury or death.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | September 15, 2015 6:06 PM |
I love Bernie. I wish he could win, but it's time to face facts: he can't. Let's set aside the fact that the black and hispanic communities aren't supporting him, or that he's a self-labelled socialist. The most worrisome problem he's got is his reaction when confronted with any opposition. Bernie just doesn't know how to deal with someone getting in his face and shouting him down. His first impulse is to duck and cover, or worse, run. And this is opposition from groups that run along the same ideological lines. What's he going to do when the real fighters in Washington show up?
Conversely, Trump leads the republican pack not because he has some grand new ideas, or because he courts the various factions (read: kiss their asses), or even has any solutions for real world problems. He leads because his speaks what's on his mind (however deluded) and means exactly what he says. When a normal person would, out of respect, limit their criticism of an opponent to their political stands, Trump goes for the lowest common denominator and brings up Fiorina's appearance. Rather than talk about how Jeb! panders to the hispanic community and then does little to actually support them, he appeals to the nativist base and Palinistas and talks about speaking English. He suggests that unfair questioning from a Fox anchor is not a coordinated effort to discredit him through misleading innuendo, and instead says she's just on the rag. He calls his opponents losers. He offers no solutions, instead proffering fringe lunacy. Trump is the living, breathing embodiment of the saying in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. And the dwindling, racist, republican base eats it up.
I'm going to keep hammering this point home until she wins. What we need in the next president is someone who will stand up to the republicans and not just fight back, but take the fight to them. I'm sick of the Democrats' being, as Stephen Colbert says, pussies. It's time for a candidate who will not only outsmart the right, but take a stand for what's right and be willing to throw that last punch.
Hillary is the only candidate who has taken on, fought, and beat the republicans. And not just once or twice, but consistently. Yes, it's important to know when to gracefully accept success and not be an asshole about it; it's another matter altogether to give up the fight before the battle has begun, or worse, turn tail and run. Say what you will about Hillary, but she has never backed down. It's time to put the republican party back where they were when this country did great things like send men to the moon, build the interstate highway system, educate an entire generation, and create wealth and prosperity for average Americans. It's going to take a fighter to get this country back to being the land of opportunity and worldwide leadership.

Bernie spent a lifetime fighting for civil rights. While Hillary and Bill cheered on and signed policies that put blacks in jail, battled strawmen like Sista Soulja, then Bill raping and sexually harassing women, followed up by Hillary ruining the lives of his victims. How could anyone possibly support that pig?

I like Bernie Sanders, I've always liked him. He's a decent guy. I will not be voting for him because I think Hillary Clinton will make a better POTUS than he would. It's just that simple and there's no rancor against him in it. I presume that his supporters think that Bernie Sanders would make a better POTUS than she would. That's fine. There's no need to get ugly about it. Save that for Trump, Jeb! and the other seven dwarves.

And the ridiculous email "scandal" dribbling out nothings. She was the fucking Secretary of State for fuck's sake. She wasn't some secretary stealing American secrets to sell to the Enquirer.
Of course Clinton always has been tone deaf to political exigencies. So what. She'll assemble the best team possible, she'll push for the right policies more adroitly than (the great) Barack Obama has, and she'll name good people to the Supreme Court.
It's Clinton or no one worth a rat's turd in 2016. Don't pretend otherwise. You're either shilling for the reactionaries or being duped by them.

You know the one Hillary smeared by saying she liked older men and had made false rape accusations before(which of course wasn't true)? Has anyone found out if he went on to more crimes?
